For us, having a good live band was one of the most important parts of our wedding. We did a lot of research and liked that honeycomb was independent, well priced, and really easy to communicate with. They blew away our expectations on our wedding night. Their musicianship, their energy, their song choices had people on the dance floor of all ages all night long. They also played an amazing Hora and emceed for us.

From the start of our conversations with Aaron (drummer & band manager) during the planning stages, we felt at ease. His genuine nature and warmth throughout the lead up to our wedding was so appreciated; he's detail-oriented and ensures all logistics are taken care of so you don't have to worry about anything music-related on the big day.
Now, for their actual music: they absolutely blew us away with their talent, energy, and set list. We had given them some ideas of musicians/songs we liked, and their selections were right up our alley.
From the guests who were on the dance floor the entire night (a lot of them!!), to the non-dancers who enjoyed the music from their tables or the bar, we heard a ton of raving reviews about Honeycomb.
Each musician in the band is incredibly talented. The horn section in particular was a hoot; it just looked like they were having so much fun up there!
One other piece that was super special was that the band worked with us to rearrange the first dance selection so that our favorite verse (which was the third in the original song) was put first, as we didn't dance for the whole song. It meant a lot they were willing to do this.
Please don't hesitate to book Honeycomb for your event. If we have another reason to hire a band in the future, we will absolutely reach out to Aaron and crew again!

ghout the night. Clearly most of them have been playing together for a long time; the rhythm section was tight, the horns brought a ton of energy, and vocals were spot on. They were especially great engaging with the crowd and we received a lot of glowing feedback from our guests. Communication leading up to the event seemed to be great, however, they didn’t play the edited version of our first dance song we provided, which was very disappointing (we had choreographed the dance specifically to the edited song). While the actual reception set list wasn’t exactly aligned with our artist/song input, our guests did really enjoyed the more classic wedding playlist Honeycomb put together. That being said, we do highly recommend Honeycomb for anyone looking for a high-energy full band with a fairly classic wedding setlist.

nt. Our sound engineer played the exact sound file provided to us via email for the first dance. The set list we prepared properly excluded all of the client's "do not play" artists and songs. We also rely on our professional judgment after almost 15 years experience performing for weddings and private events. After accommodating many of the client's requests for song selections that were down-tempo and less well known, we observed many guests leaving the dance floor, including the bride and groom. As the night progressed, we relied on our professional judgment to include more songs that have a strong history of success, which resulted in more guests returning to the dance floor and reception area. Further, in separate correspondence two days after the wedding, the client provided, "We REALLY (sic.) enjoyed Honeycomb and received a lot of positive feedback from our guests."

ioned for ceremony music. The music was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. As for the reception, our guests are still raving about how much fun the band was. I’ve had one person tell me how badly they wish they could have Honeycomb play their birthday party back in Ohio. Honeycomb let my husband play a song for me, with me having no clue they had all orchestrated that surprise. Toward the end of the night, I realized the music was set to stop a little earlier than the reception actually ended (my fault) and Honeycomb played a little longer rather than packing up and leaving my guests with some awkward time to fill before shuttles picked them up from the venue. The experience overall with Honeycomb was wonderful and I’d recommend them to anyone! Besides actually tying the knot, I think this band was our favorite part of the wedding.

ich turned out perfectly! For the reception, they learned our first dance song and they did such a fantastic job! I got so many compliments from my guests saying that the band was so fun and so talented. The dance floor was packed and everyone had a great time! They have a wide ranged repertoire and there was something for everyone. We are pretty big ska fans and they did a Mighty Mighty Boss Tones cover which our guests had a blast with!! Throughout the night they provided MC services and coordinated with our venue coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly. In regards to wedding planning, they made the process so smooth and easy. Very communicative and able to tailor their services to whatever you desire. hey were sure to review our goals, timeline, & requests thoroughly prior to our wedding. They did an incredible job with the music, energy, and making our one goal for the wedding happen—for everybody to be on the dance floor! It was a dream come true! The whole band seemed like they were having just as much fun as our guests were, and we still are getting compliments on how fun our band made our wedding day. In addition, they did a stellar job emceeing our reception as well. They were extremely reasonably priced for the level of quality, professionalism, and reliability they provided. I will say I was skeptical because the vocalists they have now are not the same as the ones advertised in the videos, however, I’m so happy we chose to go with them! The current vocalists were also so talented (along with the rest of the band). I could go on and on about how amazing they were—thank you Honeycomb for everything!

At one point when they were taking a well deserved break, Proud Mary by Tina Turner was playing via Spotify and some of my family (myself included) pretended to jam out on some of the instruments! Afterwards, we apologized and told them we didn’t touch anything, and instead of getting upset they said how much they enjoyed watching that as no one had ever done that before. planning a wedding since there are SO many videos to watch and if you’re in that process right now— stop your search and book Honeycomb! The lead female and male singers are so talented. They really brought all kinds of energy to the dance floor! The horn section came out into the crowd and the entire party lost it at how cool and fun it was! The entire band was so wonderful. I added ceremony guitar and vocals and Halle had the most perfect voice for my ceremony music. They also nailed all aspects of MCing the event. They are professional and prompt communicators. son they're not getting 5 stars is because the two lead singers who showed up are NOT the signers in the videos on their website, or in any of these promo photos. We even went to see them live when they were playing at the Hard Rock Cafe, and the female lead was half the reason we chose them, she had an incredible voice. The woman who sang on our day wasn't even close to as good or energetic. This was NEVER communicated to us, even in our contract I had them specify the # of band members and singers, to avoid this problem as I've heard it can be an issue with some wedding bands. I guess I should've had them put their names in the contract too.
At the end of the day, my husband and I were the only ones who knew and the guests loved the band. It was quite a shock to walk out to do our first dance and not have who we were expecting though. They shouldn't market themselves as a fixed-member band when they're not.

d easy to work with leading up to the wedding, and their performance at the wedding was incredible. When planning for the playlist, Honeycomb allows you to provide as much or as little input as you prefer. In our case, we chose to provide a short list of "must-play" songs, but to otherwise allow Honeycomb to pick their own set list and read the room to keep the party flowing. This was one of their greatest strengths, as they did an awesome job of picking the songs to keep everyone on their feet throughout the reception. Our guests had a great time jamming and dancing the night away.

t, kind, and accommodating to our schedules. Two months out the manger Aaron contacted us and we had a phone call discussing first dances, announcements, and overall music taste. We touched base one more time before the wedding and then they handled everything beautifully! They played the correct song for our announcement, learned and performed our first dance perfectly, and then played an amazing set. Multiple of our guests said the band was the best part of the evening. They played music that appealed to everyone and had every single guest on the floor. We loved them and would recommend anyone looking for a fun and lively group use them!

easy-going. And they are incredible musicians! So many of our wedding guests told us that Honeycomb blew them away. They kept the entire wedding dancing all night and had a great mix of up-tempo music, fun sing-alongs, and slow songs. Honestly, we were blown away by this band. couples. Julie makes the booking process easy and straight-forward while Aaron handles all music related and timeline questions to assure that everything goes off smoothly. On the day-of, the sound tech and band members were on time, professional and TALENTED. The vocals were strong and the whole band was fun and interactive making them a huge hit the entire evening! Not to mention, they are all down to earth and humble humans. For all of these reasons, I will continue to refer Honeycomb Band in the highest regard to all of my SKYLIGHT couples looking for a live music option.

They are incredibly musically “tight” as a band, it is clear that they play together often. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
