We're incredibly thankful to Carter for helping our wedding day come to life and would highly recommend her for anyone that needs to coordinate or plan a wedding. She is organized, detail-oriented, and above all — a positive and energetic presence throughout the entire process.
We appreciated her weekly check-in meetings, being the primary point of contact with all our vendors, and promptly handling open matters when questions came up. She showcased her years of expertise in the wedding industry by providing helpful suggestions for us to consider when we were working out details. She was also able to execute our DIY décor vision with grace and instilled a sense of confidence when the day of our wedding came.

There is no possible way to articulate just how absolutely incredible, helpful, and amazing Carter was throughout the wedding planning process, but I’ll at least try. We interviewed quite a few wedding coordinators for month of, and never quite had one that felt right - until we talked to Carter. From day 1, she made it clear she was there for us, whatever that meant. She helped provide perspective on annoying guest requests, coordinate logistics, help with the last minute stuff, and pivot when our wedding day was hot and we had to put flowers and candles out late. Our wedding went perfectly, and 100% without question that’s because of Carter. 10/10, no notes

Carter from Honeysuckle Traditions is an absolute wedding rockstar! She truly made our wedding magical and completely flawless. Honestly, without her, we’re not sure we would’ve even had a wedding! From start to finish, Carter was calm, patient, and incredibly supportive.
She always had the best suggestions, understood our vision perfectly, and never once showed an ounce of stress! Her attention to detail and her ability to keep things moving behind the scenes let us fully enjoy our day.

The month leading to our wedding was filled with hectic, last minute purchases and designs. Carter coming in absolutely changed that. The weekly meetings to check in on our progress and ours was integral to our mental well being, as she invited one of our caterers on the call so that we could all make sure all was going smoothly. On the day of our wedding, Carter made a point to make us feel special as she dressed up to match our space themed wedding, and it was a pleasure to see her caring about our shit. We were able to actually enjoy our wedding because she took care of so much the day before and the day of: she packed a lot of our wedding up towards the end of the evening and even sent us a video of her boxing a lot of our stuff. We thoroughly enjoyed her calm presence and highly recommend her to all.

We were beyond thrilled that Carter helped us plan our big day and would highly recommend her services to any couple who wants to create a special and grounded ceremony. We did an entire weekend of wedding related events and thanks to her wicked attention to detail and thoughtfulness, everything was perfectly smooth. She guided us through the planning process, researched a local artist to paint guests during your reception, ensured our ceremony to reception flip was flawless, and handled my day-of bridezilla moments with grace and understanding. We are only sad we do not have another wedding to plan because she made it such a joy!

Carter was everything we wanted for a wedding planner! She made the whole process so seamless for us and really helped us stay organized and on track. We had a great experience with Carter during planning and on our wedding day. She brought such a positive and calming presence during the planning process. Carter went out of her way to make our wedding meet our vision and our dreams come true. She was very welcoming not only to us but also to our families and friends. Carter was so knowledgeable of our venue which was invaluable in planning our big day. We chose the month-of planning package, and Carter went above and beyond what I expected. It was so lovely working with Carter! I’d recommend her anyone, and especially to those who are looking for some guidance on how to make their dreams a reality. Carter was phenomenal at listening to us and talking us through step by step. She guided us in figuring out how to make our non traditional ideas come to life. I’m not a natural planner and she helped me break things down and then make it happen. She came up with ideas I never would’ve thought of and warmly guided us through the process. She is a great listener and a calming presence. Her warm and positive energy grounded us on our special day. She went above and beyond and was so easy to work with. We wouldn’t have had the perfect day if it weren’t for her. She recommended our wedding photographer and thought of little things we never would have thought of. Working with Carter really made our day special and we would’ve never been able to do it without her.

Carter and Honeysuckle Traditions was amazing! She made our wedding a dream come true!
She went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. She had a meeting with us each week, to make sure we were on track, on the same page and work out every detail to plan. She was attentive to our vision and was able to add in details to tie in the finishing touches we didn’t know we wanted.
From checking off the smallest to-do and managing day of events, Carter kept us on track, our nerves calm and allowed us to focus on what was truly important for our special day.
We were able to be fully present with each other and our guests as Carter had the full run of the venue running smoothly like clockwork!
I remember watching Carter bring our venue to life as the minutes flew by. She never seemed rushed, frazzled or skipped a beat to trouble shot any little hiccup that came up.
Seeing how calm and collected she remained, we knew we were in the right hands and had nothing to worry about.
We appreciate everything she did for us and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator that approaches her job with the upmost professionalism and a personal touch you can’t find everywhere!

Carter is just about the loveliest person you could meet. She is organized, communicative, professional with a quick response time, and truly kicks ass; everything you could want in a wedding planner. Like a fairy godmother of weddings complete with tinsel fairy hair <3
Each call I had with her was organized with a purpose and agenda. She’d always check in to see how I was doing and if I seemed stressed she’d insist to take on anything that would help alleviate some stressors. Multiple other vendors would, without prompt, tell me how amazing and communicative Carter was. If anything went wrong on the day of the wedding I would’ve had 0 clue about it. I’m grateful to say I actually got to enjoy the day.
She was the real MVP and truly a wonderful resource to have through the wedding process.
If you’re thinking about getting a wedding planner, just do it; best investment.

I am a Wedding Photographer located in Monterey, CA. I have worked with Carter of Honeysuckle traditions many times! She is the best! Her energy is so calming on a busy wedding day. She's ultra organized, can think quickly on her feet and is warm and friendly - not just to the couple but their friends, family and all staff and vendors. The most important aspect about Carter is her professionalism, this put's Honeysuckle Traditions on the top of my list to refer to my couples. I know they will be taken care of for a small backyard wedding or a large 300 person event. No snob factor, just genuine service and care. If your looking for a wedding planner/coordinator, you need to hire Carter! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She made sure to get an in depth understanding of my vision for the day and completely brought it to life! The venue was decorated exactly how I described, all vendor communication was handled, everyone was kept on a schedule and she even made sure I had food and water after the ceremony. Carter is fun and easy to communicate with, professional and proficient in all aspects of the planning process. I’m so happy I went with honeysuckle traditions.

At first, I wasn't sure we even needed to hire a wedding planner. I figured with the wedding being as small as it was (around 30 guests) it didn't make a lot of sense. But at some point I realized how much running around I would end up doing day of (and the night before) and decided it was worth the money. And trust me when I say, it was.
I didn't have to worry about the little details, I was able to relax and know that Carter had everything taken care of. The decor being set up, and even making sure I had a snack after the ceremony while signing the wedding license.
The week leading up to the wedding we had hour-ish long phone calls that squared away all the details and plans for decor. Any questions were answered within minutes. The communication between us and the vendors was always clear and concise, and we never didn't know what was going on, but also didn't need to stress about it.
All in all, if you're looking for a wedding planner in the Tahoe Area, you can't go wrong with Honeysuckle Traditions.

Carter was an absolute savior! We didnt have a coordinator and we were only a couple months away. We called Carter and she right away got in contact with all the vendors we already had, had connections to other things that we didnt have yet and even had amazing ideas that were affordable and had contacts to help with everything. She handled all our calls, emails and issues and only reached out to us if necessary. She made the last few weeks so much easier and stress free!
Then was the day of the wedding! She was there early, helping set everything up and make sure my wife and I only had to worry about ourselves. From the very beginning of the day to the very end she was in control and kept things moving along even as we were completely distracted. The day was perfect in every way and we owe it all to Carter and her amazing party planning skills and contacts.
I would recommend Carter for anyone and everyone. Not a single negative thing to say. She is an absolute professional and i highly doubt there is anyone out there that can do a better job!

The BEST thing about my son and daughter-in-law's wedding was Carter. Hands down, she made the day beautiful and calm and enjoyable as the Mother of the Groom and I know the Mother of the Bride felt the same. Both of us are single moms and yet we were able to relax and enjoy. Carter is the consummate professional. She brings years of experience from managing some of the largest and most noted wedding venues on the Central Coast. It doesn't matter what size the wedding or event, she knows how to orchestrate it all. This wedding was a micro wedding (26 in all including the bridal party), yet all the big traditional wedding elements were part of the day. There were a lot of spinning plates and some interesting family dynamics as well. Carter handled it all with grace, calm and ease. She really became part of the family. Carter has great suggestions and she takes care of every little detail from setting up to decorating to tearing down and everything in between. She really kept the vision of what the bride and groom wanted. I can't recommend her enough. I'd hire her for any event, wedding or not. What a gift Carter is to anyone planning a wedding. Without a doubt, she made the day perfect!

Carter was our wedding planner and coordinator for our 2022 wedding that was rescheduled from 2021. I'll start by saying that she is THE reason I ended up choosing our venue - she is calm, relaxed, and put my stressed out wedding brain mind at ease while handling the craziness that is wedding planning. I just felt comfortable with her from the moment we met and knew we would be in good hands. And I was right - her approach and demeanor was essential when our initial wedding was postponed due to the pandemic! Carter was so understanding and patient with us and helped us to navigate the entire situation. I cannot recommend her enough, she is kind, warm, organized, experienced... every good quality you need in a wedding coordinator. And she helped our dream vision come to life, including helping us move everything outdoors to keep our guests safe and think of creative ways to make the night fun (last minute silent disco addition!) I worked with Carter when she was at the Hollins House at Pasatiempo. I was planning my wedding for summer 2021 during the height of the pandemic and it was pretty stressful, but having Carter there to guide me through the planning process helped so much. I would email her about random things at odd hours and she never got frustrated. I was honestly scared all my emailing and questions would scare her away but she always replied without fail. She'd always answer in a timely fashion and was always willing to help. She was so organized - contacted all the vendors and followed up with me on anything I had missed. She was on top of it, which I really appreciated. On the day of I couldn't have asked for a more calm and organized coordinator to help the day go smoothly. Carter was the best and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner/coordinator.

We worked with Carter during our wedding planning and could not have asked for a better support throughout the entire process! We got engaged just prior to the start of COVID and had a very long drawn out 2 years of wedding planning. Carter was wonderful to work with the entire time and always felt like talking with a friend, which made every unpredicted event seem manageable.
I could not recommend a nicer, more caring person to support you during the most chaotic time in your life. Carter provides great resources and ideas throughout the entire process. If COVID wasn't stressful enough, the first rain of the season ended up aligning with our wedding day as well! But Carter was in constant communication with us through the days leading up to the wedding as well as the actual day to help come up with mitigation plans and keep us sane while navigating the uncertainty. She made every complicated moment seem effortless and exciting, and I don't think you could ask for much more on your special day. 10 out of 10 Carter is your girl. No question about it.
