Honky tonk has great food and affordable pricing. However, showing up to my wedding day and first thing you do is talk to the MOB so rudely that the other employees have to say som...
ething is unacceptable. This was in the middle of my first look with my dad that got interrupted when honky tonk parked their van 5 feet from me and the photographers. The honky tonk staff members were then caught in the kitchen before the ceremony eating the dessert I had bought for my guests. They forgot to go boxes that we paid for and put our left overs into card board boxes that then became soggy and ripped. The bartender was rude to the not only guests during the wedding but the groom after the wedding when we tried to collect extra alcohol to take home. The staff members also took boxes of our dessert home without asking. Overall, not a friendly staff and not ideal to hear the complaints from guests about the company you have paid to make your day go smoothly.
As a wedding venue owner, I have had numerous opportunities to work with Susan and Honky Tonk Smokehouse. They are always extremely professional and provide amazing food! Truly d...
elicious food and not just traditional bbq either. Many different side options that can appeal to guests. Honky Tonk Smokehouse has accommodated vegetarian and vegan guests and many other dietary restrictions upon request.
I also had Honky Tonk Smokehouse provide the food for by wedding years ago and the food as just as delicious now as it was then. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this caterer!
All we can say, is that Susan(owner) and her team made our day even better!!!! We live five hours away and was very pleased after speaking with Susan. My husband and I are chefs ...
and we have some high standards about the food for our guests. After the tasting, we knew we had made the right decision!! Susan was great and listened to what we wanted and she made it happen. The food was great and our guests went back for seconds!! We appreciate Honky Tonk Smokehouse for helping make our wedding great!!
In terms of food, they were 5/5; everyone LOVED the food. We were able to be in touch with the owner leading up to the event, made changes, added a veggie option, all the food work...
ed out the way we wanted and everything was delicious, etc etc. Less than 5 stars for the day of, my bridesmaids had to advocate for our self-serve beer coolors to be out, as honkytonk's vision for the bartender included someone to help monitor that guests didn't drink too much (guessing that's pretty standard), but we wanted people to have open access to the beer. I also hadn't heard anything about a tipping policy, but per the policy, the tips we gave in specific envelopes for bartenders, servers, etc were re-distrubted among the servcers and staff, which would have been nice to know beforehand.
A wedding isn't a wedding without food, and Honky Tonk Smokehouse gave us the BEST food and top notch service. I heard a rumor that they may have been the fastest buffet line ever ...
seen. Susan worked with me on a menu, special requests, and making sure there was plenty of food. Her team worked seamlessly throughout the night to make sure everyone had lots of food and drink. I was so so so happy we selected them as our caterer.
