Honored Occasions was so wonderful at our wedding! My husband and I were really particular about the music we wanted, and Steve exceeded our expectations. He played all the songs we loved in a way that was enjoyable for everyone, and the transitions between songs were perfect. He added songs that we love but had completely forgotten to include in our request list (he read our minds somehow), and kept everyone on the dance floor. His lighting services were awesome as well (uplights, moving lights). He was so friendly and professional throughout the whole process, and truly helped make our wedding night fun and elegant - thank you!!

I cannot speak more highly of Honored Occasions and our wedding DJ Martin. My husband and I waited until the absolute last minute (3 weeks before the wedding) and we are so grateful we found them. Martin was the absolute consummate professional. He played exactly the type of music we wanted for our cocktail hour and used our spotify playlist for the reception as a jumping off point for an incredible dance party! He was a great host and transitioned between our speakers seamlessly and didn't miss a beat introducing the special dances. You're in really good hands with honored occasions.

DJ Tony was absolutely amazing to work with on my daughters Quince plus 1 birthday party! He was very patient with our ideas and offered solutions and options to maximize our event! Tony was so easy to work with prepping for the big event. He arrived at the venue well in advance and worked seamlessly with the venue staff throughout the night. Tony Mc’d the night and then crushed it with a non stop party set that kept the dance floor packed and dancing all night! We had an absolute amazing time working with DJ Tony, Steve and Honored Occasions and would highly recommend them for any event

Steve was the best DJ I could have asked for! He did an incredible job and included a great mix of everything we wanted. Many of my guests asked for his info to hire for their events! He always responded in a timely manner to my requests and our timeline. My wedding would not have been the same without him!

We chose Honored Occasions to provide audiovisual services for our wedding. Martin was our DJ and he did amazing, with great song selections that everyone loved the songs and danced the night away to! He also gave us plenty of room to help choose songs and was extremely amenable to working with songs in Arabic. They also provided the lighting and the Lollipop Photo Booth. The lighting was perfect without being overwhelming, and everyone absolutely loved the Photo Booth and used it so much! We would highly recommend working with Honored Occasions for your wedding!

Steve the DJ & Honored Occasions made our wedding beyond what we could have ever dreamed! I had been to a wedding Steve DJ'd years ago and I still talk about it to this day because of how great a job he did, so my husband and I knew we wanted to book him for our wedding. Working with Steve was so easy. Honored Occasions took care of all our audio for the ceremony, reception music and the uplighting (which had so many color options). The company provides you a great online portal where you can input all your music choices and keep track of everything. We had a couple phone calls to work through all the details, and felt so confident walking into the day knowing Steve had it all under control. The dance floor was electric & the whole day flowed so smoothly. All our friends and family complimented how fantastic the music was and how great Steve's music transitions were. Many people said he was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard. Ending the night on Mr. Brightside was a moment we'll never forget. We enjoyed working with Steven and Anthony, who was our DJ. Their portal helped us map out our timeline for our special day, and they both were quickly available to any question we had. Pandemic Wedding Review: Honored Occasions and Anthony (DJ Tony) were absolutely amazing! With the stress of having a wedding during a pandemic, Honored Occasions was safe, assuring, and made our wedding night the best it could be! Prior to the wedding date, Anthony offers a user friendly website where we could put our music requests into different categories which are reviewed prior the event date to ensure all our favorite songs were played. He was able to make a custom edit/mix for our father-daughter dance which turned out perfect! Our wedding event was smaller than we originally expected, but our guests still danced the night away (safely) and that is all thanks to DJ Tony’s awesome skills. They are professional, yet fun and entertaining which is what you want for your crowd on your wedding night. HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent customer service, professional and thorough. Steve provided DJ service, uplighting and Lollipop Photo Booth. All three services were excellent. Steve, from Honored Occasions, made our night unforgettable! He was the most amazing MC & DJ ! He made sure the night went smoothly and kept the party and dancing going all night long! He did such a great job of reading the crowd! We can’t recommend him enough! The data base he uses to create a playlist for an event is so easy and amazing to use! We loved that part of the process since we live 3,000 miles away from him and our wedding venue! It made the planning process very easy. A week before our wedding we had an appointment to go over details on the phone with him. Earlier that day, him and his wife had went into labor with their child! He still called us later on that day to go over details and that totally blew us away! He’s so dedicated and so so talented at what he does! We highly recommend him!

Steve served as the DJ for our wedding this past weekend. He was fantastic! Several of our guest came up to us after the wedding saying how much they enjoyed the song selection, which was all thanks to Steve. I had the pleasure of working with Tiffany (DJ Ruby Blue) when planning my wedding. She was a consummate professional that truly cared about my event! Because I had a number of unusual song requests (not the traditional Top 40 songs), Tiffany worked tirelessly to make sure she became familiar with the songs and incorporated them into my wedding seamlessly. In addition, she was always available to talk through any concerns or last minute changes. In fact, we were forced to change the location of our ceremony due to weather rather last minute, and Tiffany helped us work through some issues to make sure our ceremony went off without a hitch. I highly highly recommend considering hiring Tiffany for your wedding!

We absolutely loved working with Honored Occasions!! They were the perfect DJ for our wedding and we were very happy with their performance. When looking for a DJ, we had a difficult time finding one that was right for our wedding. Our wedding planner recommended Honored Occasions and after speaking with Steve over the phone, we hired them immediately. Steve was very kind, informative, and communicated well with us through the planning process. Our ceremony and reception felt personalized to our liking. Steve allowed us to pick as many or a little songs as we wanted for our playlist. They have an online portal where you can pick must plays or a do not play list. We are so happy we chose Honored Occasions for our wedding and highly recommend them for yours!!!

We had Honored Occasions for our wedding day. We met Steve at a wedding convention. He was very upfront, friendly, and I think the best part not sales oriented. He wanted us to make sure we have the best wedding day. The day we decided to go with them, he went through all the things we should think about. We were glad that we went with them. They have lots of DJs under their services, but we went with DJ Jack. SUPER SUPER friendly DJ and also very professional. He came early to the wedding to set up his system. We would definitely consider them again in the future for any events!

Honored Occasions did an amazing job on our wedding day (5/25/19). Prior to the wedding day, Steve was extremely responsive to emails and coordinated Skype call to go over the details several weeks before the big day. I really appreciated the planning website that they used and their execution was flawless! Billy and I really liked how Steve was able to take the songs that we requested to play and make it flow throughout the night. He also had great energy introducing the wedding party and announcing the events of the night. The music that was played for the party/dancing was the best! We had a blast dancing the night away, all thanks to Honored Occasions!

Anthony "DJ Tony" Hernandez was one of our very favorite vendors at our wedding! Steve was incredible!! He really did such an amazing job at setting the perfect mood for our wedding reception. From dinner to transitioning to dancing everyone at our wedding from all ages had a blast! I love how he worked with my husband and I to personalize the music so it refelected is. My (now) husband and I COULD NOT be more grateful for being able to book Honored Occasions for our big day. Steve was the (no exaggeration) PERFECT fit for us as a couple. We had originally been shopping around for a DJ and were really pressed on time, so were about to make a decision without having met Steve, but our planner INSISTED we meet him. Five minutes into our last minute meeting with Steve, WE WERE DONE. He was so sweet and so professional and so knowledgeable (the list goes on), and just all around EASY to talk to and work with... he made the decision a piece of cake. On our wedding day, everyone had a BLAST. Steve was the perfect host, entertainer, and DJ. Five stars do not do him justice. We adore him as a person and he was definitely one of our FAVORITE vendors that we booked for the entire event. He really made our wedding over the top special and gave us memories for a lifetime.

We booked them for their lighting expertise and boy did they deliver. They transformed our ballroom with their pinspots. They highlighted our sweetheart table, cake table, dessert and other feature areas of the room. They made our event so elegant and the photos are amazing. Honored Occasions was the perfect choice for our wedding and reception! We were very impressed with Ryan at our first meeting with him and he exceeded our expectations for our wedding day in every way. We had our wedding at the Nixon Library with Steve as our DJ and he was great! We were looking for a fun DJ and Steve definitely fit the bill. He was very responsive to emails and phone calls and made the entire process very easy for us. The online planning tool gave us plenty of freedom and time to enter our song requests. Our guests also responded very well to Steve. His announcements were easy to understand and clear. He's also excellent at leading games. A highlight at our wedding was when he did a musical chairs scavenger hunt. Super fun for the guests! Honestly, if you're looking for a fun and personable DJ, Steve is your guy. He truly cares about making the wedding a fun experience for the guests. He's not the guy that just plays music and that's it.

So Honored Occasions knows WHAT’S UP! We went ahead with Steve as our DJ for our wedding in February 2018, and he absolutely killed it! I heard compliments and comments from so many of our guests that said Steve was an amazing DJ. He played great music, and he was so personable and professional during his announcements. We can’t believe how amazing the entire night went, and how well Steve kept everyone interested and dancing throughout the reception! The entire planning process leading up to our wedding was also effortless, due to the online planning portal that Honored Occasions uses. We met with Steve in person twice prior to our wedding and I can honestly say it was 100% stress free, and just straight up fun. I wish I could have another wedding just so I could have Anthony as our DJ and MC! Professional, fun and bilingual (which was sooo important for my husbands family). They have online wedding song selection tool that was perfect for me as I work nights and my husband works days. The mix of music was perfect and he kept them dancing all night and it was awesome. So many of my family and friends were complimenting me on how great Anthony was. The lighting and photo booth were also hits. The night flew by but Anthony always found us when it was time for the next event (huge help!) They were affordable and kept the party going the entire night. We were originally referred to a different DJ who was already booked on our wedding but thank God because we loved Anthony so much. I give Anthony and the entire Honored Occasions crew 5 Stars!

Ryan was the BEST Dj I have ever worked with or seen. Through the time we booked them till the wedding Ryan wasn't on top of it. He constantly kept on track meeting with us to make sure our special day was perfect. He played everything we requested and gave amazing suggestions. He was upbeat and eager to help in whatever way. He never tries to run the show. On the wedding day, he was repspectful of our time and made our day amazing. Beyond his MC skills Ryan also came and joined us for a few dances which really got the guests pumped. Ryan did such a good job keeping the attention on us and making us feel so special. I never would have thought a DJ could make such a big impact but if you really want your day to go perfect. Book Ryan through Honored Occasions.

Ryan at Honored Occasions was the DJ for my wedding in March 2017, and he did a fantastic job! He met with us a couple times before the wedding and made sure that all of the music choices represented us. He also wrote down the phonetics for each name he would announce as MC, which is a small detail but so important! Also, Honored Occasions has an online music database which makes it really easy communicate music choices. The DJ truly sets the tone for the entire reception, and Ryan was excellent! He created a fun, classy, energetic atmosphere and dance floor, and we had a wonderful time! If you are looking for a DJ, I would strongly recommend Ryan at Honored Occasions!

So many wonderful things to say about Honored Occassions, where do I start?! My husband and I chose to have an outdoor wedding reception at The Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica and needed to outsource lighting and A/V. We were put in touch with Steve Shanahan from our photographer and immediately we knew we were in the best of hands and decided to work with him. And I am SO glad we did! As the wedding planner of our wedding, working with Steve was an absolute pleasure. His quick response times, professionalism, and vast experience in wedding services helped us in planning a beautiful outdoor reception. When we were all done with planning lighting and A/V we decided that we wanted to hire a professional emcee and naturally turned to Steve for our entertainment needs - and although it seemed to be a no brainer at the time, because he would be there setting up lighting and A/V at our wedding - the decision to have him as our entertainment guru turned out to be the best decision we made in the planning process. And let me tell you why... It never rains in May in Santa Monica... so we thought. But the week leading up to our wedding there was rain of course in the forecast. Steve and I were on the phone every other day playing through scenarios and even up until the day of our wedding Steve was available for advice. The morning of the wedding, there was still rain in the forecast and Steve showed up to our venue with two plans in place for an outdoor reception and another plan for an indoor reception. Luckily the forecast cleared and we got to have the outdoor reception that we dreamed of. That is until the forecast turned into a crazy windstorm and our guests were freezing cold!!! Within 25 minutes, Honored Occassions helped facilitate along with the banquets staff at the Fairmont an indoor dance party, which was the absolute best part of our night. Ryan was our DJ and he played a huge part in making this all happen for us. We have received endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful and fun our wedding night was and I truly owe it all to Steve, Ryan and Honored Occassions for making our night go on without a hitch. If you're looking to have an amazing wedding, including Steve, Ryan and Honored Occasions in your big day is smarter than buying wedding insurance, it is assurance that your day will be the best day ever!

Steve was an amazing DJ and we would absolutely hire him again. My husband and I had a morning brunch wedding and I was so nervous that people would be less likely to dance in the morning compared to at night. That was absolutely not the case since Steve got EVERYONE on the dance floor. So many wedding guests complemented me on how great our DJ was. He played a lot of great music, paid attention to our preferences and requests, and brought a lot of fun to our reception.

We worked with Steve from Honored Occasions for our wedding in March. We were planning our wedding from Northern California and he was extremely easy to work with. During our initial meeting he really listened to our random requests, and was very communicative and flexible with changes that were made prior to the day. Steve was one of the best DJ's we've heard at any wedding we've been to. EVERYONE was on the dance floor! It was so nice to see everyone having a good time and we know that he had brought the energy to our group. We would recommend him to anyone planning an event!
