Hoosier Live is a wedding DJ based out of Columbus, IN, just 45 minutes outside of Indianapolis. Owner Jacob Kennedy has more than 15 years of experience in hosting live events. This entertainer delights in providing high-quality services to couples at affordable prices. Jacob is also bilingual and is happy to contribute to English and Spanish-speaking celebrations. Jacob entered the wedding industry a few years ago after running the sound equipment and performing live music at a family member’s milestone occasion. Since then, he has been dedicated to helping to-be-weds host unforgettable celebrations that match their visions while remaining on budget. As a perfectionist, this entertainer strives to create engaging, dynamic experiences that seamlessly match the tone and energy of the events he performs at. To align with his clients’ needs, Hoosier Live offers a variety of services. Jacob will happily perform at ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, depending on your preferences. Live music sets, featuring pop and rock covers, can also be arranged. When selecting this option, Jacob invites couples to select up to five songs of their choice to perform on the day. Equipment rental options and MC services can also be provided.

DO NOT choose Hoosier Live for any event. I booked with Jacob, the owner, for my wedding, and at first he was great. He seemed responsive, knowledgeable, and like an easy choice. However, about 6 months before my big day, he stood me up for a consultation and stopped responding to all communications. Eventually, he even deleted his email address. He took hundreds of dollars I made as a deposit, and didn't even have the decency to tell me he could not cover my wedding any more. I know he is still around, because he posts regularly on Facebook. If you don't want to be scammed and left scrambling to find a new DJ last minute, STAY AWAY FROM HOOSIER LIVE!

I would NOT recommend Hoosier Live for any DJ services. Jacob was unreliable and failed to perform DJ services at my wedding, breaking the terms of our contract. I booked Hoosier Live for my wedding. Jacob required a 50% ($500) deposit at the time of booking to hold the date. He seemed like a great fit at first, but his response rate and communication worsened as we got closer to the wedding. A few months before the wedding, I reached out to finalize details and was unable to get in touch. His email bounced back and both phone numbers I had for him were disconnected. After multiple attempts to contact him through Instagram Messenger, where I had had success contacting him previously, and via snail mail, he still did not respond. He ended up ghosting me and not fulfilling his contract to provide DJ services. I have been trying to get our initial $500 deposit back for months and still cannot get a response. We ended up having to hire a different DJ.
