We had a lovely time working with Hopcraft Collective for our Indian wedding. They had done their own research on Indian hair for weddings which was so appreciated! They worked quickly and beautifully. They were kind and so easy to be, helping the whole experience be stress free. Loved our experience.

Hopcraft did hair and makeup for my wedding including myself, 8 bridesmaids, an officiant, and my mom. We had a wonderful experience with them! The artists were kind, efficient, professional, and did a wonderful job. What’s even better is I had changed my mind about how to do my hair and they really rolled with it! They always made sure to make me feel comfortable speaking my mind and giving honest feedback so that I was satisfied when it came time to walk down the aisle. I typically don’t wear makeup at all and wanted a clean, fresh look. The makeup felt so weightless and looked beautiful. It photographed really well too! I have to give a shoutout to Tayla who did my makeup because her work made me feel like I was just myself and really awesome! Tayla was also great at keeping in touch before the big day and that made it so easy to trust her and the team. I can’t say enough good things. Thank you!

For my wedding I worked with Kym, Cherie and Tayla. Kym did my wedding hair and she is SO talented. She was able to recreate my vision from inspiration photos so beautifully and it looked amazing! Tayla did my Rehearsal look and she was so fun to be with and her work was also incredible for both hair and makeup. Cherie did ALL of my bridesmaids hair and they looks amazing!! Can't recommend Hopcraft more- lovely people to work with, and overall great experience with them. Hire them for your wedding!

Sarah and Lauren did an amazing job of bringing my vision to reality for my wedding day! Jodi and Sarah were absolutely amazing. Jodi did my trial makeup exactly as I showed her on pinterest and once I had it on I realized there were some tweaks I wanted to make. She consulted with me on what I was looking for and it turned out perfect on wedding day. Sarah is a magician with hair. I was so impressed with the updo she did for me and she was such a mama bear on wedding day, making sure I was calm and ate throughout the morning.

My artists were Cherie and Jodie and both were very dedicated to delivering the vision you are looking for. I had a trial with both, and Cherie could tell that I wasn't happy with what I initially thought I wanted, and offered a second trial free! Then I changed AGAIN both my hair and makeup styles for the day of. I sent inspo photos for myself and from the other girls getting styled day of, and they had looked them over and were well prepared. Everyone was so sweet to work with and we all felt beautiful! I really can't say enough positive things about Amanda and her amazing team. I first met Amanda 10 years ago when she was my make up artist for my wedding. She made me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day 10 years ago and incredibly enough she made me feel just as young and beautiful on my 10 year vow renewal last month. She takes the time to really understand your skin and hair to make you look your very best. She even taught me tons about how to do my own make up and tips on skin care. Not only is Amanda fantastic but so is every member of her team. My girls and I all looked and felt amazing both times that Amanda took care of us. Don't look anywhere else because she is the absolute best!

From Tayla helping set up the details of the wedding to Amanda [Owner] and Sarah doing hair and makeup for the wedding everything was perfect. Communication with Tayla was a breeze, always accommodating and patient as my replies we're always a week or so late. Amanda did an excellent job with makeup while Sarah did an excellent job with hair for me, bridesmaids, mother, mother-n-law, sister-n-law, and nana. Both listened to each persons needs and made getting ready feel like a day with the girls. Not like I was paying them to be there, but that they truly wanted to be and getting paid was a bonus. They were on time and finished on time, making the transition from chair to alter flawless. If you need hair and makeup done for an event, I highly suggest hiring this company to do so.

Amanda and her staff were fantastic so easy to work with. We ended up hiring four girls. We had 10 people that needed to be ready in 3 1/2 hours they showed up on time they were professional and everyone loved their hair and make up. Throughout my sons wedding I kept getting compliments on well my make up was and how great my hair looked. I would highly recommend Amanda and her staff to anyone using them.

This company is truly amazing. Everything from their promptness getting back to me when I inquired about their seveices to the check ins prior to my big day and of course the attention to detail and what I wanted the day of. Amanda was awesome funny and and so caring she did not leave until the word " PERFECT " came out of mouth, and for that i thank them for such a great experience !

I got married in Vermont this past July and worked with Hopcraft Collective for hair styling for myself, my seven bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. From the beginning, Amanda and her team were very organized, professional, and communicative. Sarah, my hair stylist, was not only a pleasure to work with, but was so talented and helpful! At my trial, she gave me some tips for things I could do ahead of the wedding to make sure my hair looked its best. And then the day of the wedding, my bridal party was so impressed with her skills and professionalism. I think everyone wanted a different style, and Sarah executed them all beautifully. She even satisfied my mother, who didn’t really know what she wanted and needed some tweaks before she was happy with a style. And I think Sarah still ended up finishing ahead of schedule! My hair looked exactly the way I wanted it to, and it stayed looking beautiful all day, despite some very misty air on a rainy day (usually my hair is pretty quick to frizz in conditions like that). I hired Amanda for my hair and makeup for my elopement in the ADK. The entire process was so easy, and Amanda and the team do a great job communicating and getting back to you quickly with any questions or concerns. She came on time and was so professional and friendly! She did exactly what I envisioned for my bridal hair and makeup- and it still looked amazing hours later! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

We had to hire Amanda last minute (3 months before our wedding- due to unforeseen circumstances) and she worked with me to make sure I felt comfortable and beautiful and worked with me to fit a trial in before our wedding day. She did my hair and makeup for both the wedding day and the night before. She gave me the sassy & fun look I wanted for Friday night and the glowy, natural, still look like myself but slightly glammed up version for my wedding. She helped me pivot and remained calm when it rained and I couldn’t wear my hair down anymore. We added services the day of and she didn’t blink an eye. Her team gave me eye patches on my wedding day when I was a little overserved Friday night. They helped me feel my best and my makeup and hair lasted through the rain and all the dancing. I worked with Jenna from Hopecraft at my recent Vermont wedding. She was professional and kind, and was excellent at being able to do make up on not only my MOH but also my mom, who was very concerned about having her make up done. Hopecraft was very responsive and easy to work with, and even provided some suggestions on timeline for hair and makeup that was very helpful. I would highly recommend!

Amanda and her team are THE BEST! I’ve hired from them twice (my wedding in 2022 and then my reception a year later after our daughter was born) and I was very happy with my hair and makeup! Amanda and her team are incredible and I highly recommend! When I originally contacted them they were only available to do the makeup side of my wedding, but spent extra time to find someone to manage our hair also! This extra effort was really special! Amanda was incredible to work with. She is fun, calm, and made me feel so comfortable. She was able to do my hair and makeup exactly the way I wanted it for my wedding! I found myself weeks before my wedding with a canceled hair and make up stylist, then my hero Amanda reached out. I found her online and the stunning reviews were no lie. She immediately returned my call and I instantly felt I found the perfect person. I know nothing in the world of hair and make up so I sent Amanda a few photos of what I enjoyed and she took it and ran. My trial was a breeze and every detail was perfect. I loved that Amanda took all of my concerns seriously as my autoimmune disease resulted in thinning hair and skin concerns. She is in this field for a reason as she did not bat an eye to match my needs and my wedding day was incredible. When I was working as a photographer, I worked with this talented team for over 10 years in the industry. The consistency of their skill and professionalism is top notch. I hired Amanda to do the makeup for my wedding for not only myself but also my 5 bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law! Amanda and her assistant showed up on time and kept our morning on schedule and my makeup and hair lasted all night long! Thank you so much for everything Amanda!!

I worked with Sarah in Vermont on my wedding day and she was great. The hair and makeup came out perfectly, and the slight tweaks from the trial were executed as discussed. She also made it to the venue early despite a huge snow storm that morning. She took the reins during the "getting ready" hours to keep us all on schedule, which I loved (esp helpful because my bridesmaids were doing their own makeup). I was able to relax and not worry about the timeline, knowing that she was keeping an eye on it. She was way more helpful than was required, and I am so grateful. I also found AHMUA overall very professional to work with - one of my most responsive vendors for sure.

Note: This review has been edited after the owner of the company complained to me via email when she received a bad review (yes, I can provide proof of this.) I used this Vermont hair & makeup artist for my wedding in October. When we went up over the summer for the trial I was a bit taken aback at the artist. She told me she would not do braids as she had done too many that season. She then went on to speak ill of my eyebrows and skin. I was very uncomfortable. My makeup for the trial was way too dark for my light skin and the lipstick was not great either. She told me she had forgotten to bring her lighter shades - even though I spoke in length to those at the main company about my colors (and we sent pictures) She commented on how long my hair was and when I said I was growing it out (to donate) she said it made her job harder. Should I have spoken up at the time? For sure...but I felt really uncomfortable doing so. For the wedding day things went smoother - I brought my own makeup just in case and ended up using my own lipstick, which was fine. My hair fell out of the updo before I even got to the reception and I found this very disappointing. The artist’s entire mood was unfriendly as if she was annoyed at being there. Honestly these services were EXPENSIVE and it just sort of set the tone for the day. Finally, as stated above, the owner of the company reached out to me via email and was very upset I hadn’t spoken up earlier. She stated I looked stunning at the wedding and wasn’t sure about my complaints. She did nothing to appease me but told me had I reached out prior to reviewing she would have tried to rectify the situation. She told me how shocked she was and that she has been in business for over 20 years and has always been able to make brides happy. Then, she disputed my review despite every single thing being true. I absolutely do not recommend this vendor.

Amanda made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! She and her team did both hair and make up for me, my bridesmaids, my mother and hair for my mother-in-law and flower girls. We all looked absolutely gorgeous! I did an extended trial with Amanda and knew as soon as I left that I needed her the day of! I had done a trial with a different vendor first and the experience I had with Amanda was unmatched. I never knew my hair could even look like that- I was blown away! I decided to get her premium bridal package and she was worth every penny. Amanda was very professional and always responded quickly. I am forever grateful for Amanda!

During the contract process, the team was incredibly communicative and accommodative. I scheduled a trial with Amanda, who was able to swing by my apartment in New York City and spend as much time as I needed going through inspiration images, what would work well with my gown, and what hair/makeup combo would make me feel my absolute best. She absolutely nailed it. The day of the wedding, her and her team were very prompt and efficient and everyone was thrilled with their looks. I only hope to have another reason to work with Amanda - she is a wonderful person and incredibly talented.

My bridesmaids and I had a fantastic experience with Hopcrafts Studio. Everyone loved how their hair and makeup came out; some of the girls who have been to weddings multiple times said it was one of the best experiences with an artist. Amanda was great. She jumped in at the last minute after my scheduled hairstylist got sick. We were very lucky to have found her and she did an excellent job. My daughters and I looked great and were ready on a timely manner.

Brittany Jones, from Uncorked Occasions, recommended Amanda to me. I just commit to one! My husband knew I needed hair and makeup for our big day but he didn’t want me to have too much makeup. Amanda called me as soon as I submitted a request for a quote and talked to me about her business and her experience. What caught my attention was that she was also a redhead and knew how to work with my skin type/tone because she did it on a daily basis. I felt immediately at ease with Amanda from our first phone call. She and her team did hair and makeup for my engagement shoot (fitting me in after a wedding at the last minute!), my trial session, and my wedding (party of 9). As someone who rarely wears makeup and can barely blow dry her own hair, I was honestly quite nervous about this component of my wedding. Amanda arrived at our rural house in VT before sunrise to get me ready for my engagement shoot, and made me feel amazing. That summer, she came to my apartment in NYC and we had so much fun doing my mom's and my trials for the wedding. Come my wedding day, I knew I didn't even have to THINK about my appearance, and felt so comfortable putting my hair and makeup in Amanda's hands. She is also hilarious and a joy to be around, especially if you are a little stressed as you are getting ready. She executed my vision perfectly of looking natural, but like a "better" version of myself, and making sure it all came through on camera. From the moment I talked to Amanda Hopcraft on the phone, I felt at ease and comfortable telling her about my vision for my hair and makeup. The makeup trial went perfectly. She took the pictures I took on Pinterest and she made it even better. Amanda did an amazing job on hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day. My hair and makeup stayed in place even with the wind and all the sweating on the dance floor. I loved the airbrushed makeup and the false eyelashes were very natural looking and very comfortable. (The first time I wore false eyelashes was at the trial and I’m glad I decided to try them out! They really made my eyes pop!) I just felt so relaxed and at ease with Amanda doing my hair and makeup. She made the getting ready process so relaxing and fun. She was on time and kept us on schedule. I highly recommend Amanda!

Amanda and her team were incredible for me and my girls during my wedding day. I had a lot of makeup artists that I was in between - a lot of girls from social media and what not - but what mattered to me at the end of the day was someone who knew what she was doing and had gone through this a million times. A large team that was ready to work and be there for me the day of. They were incredible! During our trial run, she explained and answered all of my questions and we practiced and talked about the things we needed to fix on the day of. When my wedding day rolled around, she remembered and it couldn't have been easier! She 100% took her time to make sure I was happy. She even happily spoke to my bridesmaids and everything worked beautifully. I definitely recommend her! I think what matters more than just being able to "do her job" was the fact that she could tell me common dos and donts, what to expect, and really understood the time crunch. Amanda is truly a master of her craft. She did my hair and makeup for my engagement session, which was also my trial session, and my makeup for myself, three bridesmaids, my mother, and mother in law on my wedding day. I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis (just some eyeliner and if I'm going out, I might do my eyebrows), so I wanted a natural look on my wedding day, but also wanted to look "done up" for the pictures. Amanda did exactly that, while making my skin look flawless. My bridesmaids and both mothers were extremely happy as well. One bridesmaid, who has been in many weddings previously, said Amanda was the best makeup artist of all the weddings. We were so happy with our makeup that we are going to book a makeup class with her! She arrived on time, got everyone in and out of the chair in a timely manner, and our makeup stayed on all night. Book her now for your day before she gets booked!

She was wonderful to work with during trials, accommodated last minute schedule changes, helped my bridal party and our Moms/Grandmothers look and feel their best, and made me feel like an absolute princess on my big day. I have long hair that doesn’t hold style well, yet my hair style survived a windy outdoor ceremony with humidity, veil removal, and dancing the night away. My makeup was natural and elegant, and also survived the weather and sweat as I was all over the dance floor. She exceeded my expectations and I would very highly recommend her!!

Amanda and her team were an amazing choice for our wedding day! They were so easy to work with--Amanda is so responsive to phone call and email which is SO helpful when planning a wedding! They listened to exactly what I wanted for my hair and make-up, and Jaycee did a beautiful job on the wedding day.

I can’t say enough spectacular things about Amanda! Hanging out with her and getting glammed up was a fun pregame to my big day. The best thing I did was book Amanda and her team for my wedding! They were truly AMAZING! I had a hard time finding hair and make up for my wedding in Vermont (I am from downstate NY). My first call with Amanda I knew I had to book her, she immediately calmed my nerves about everything and was so helpful. She was quick to respond to every email and question I had! Her team is just as amazing as she is! My bridesmaids are still talking about their hair and make up I don't think i've ever seen such talent as I did with Amanda and her team. Amanda's team were the perfect hair and make-up artists for our wedding. Amanda was organized, communicative, and accommodating during our wedding planning. Amanda and her team are wonderful to work with for wedding looks! They did hair and make up for 6 women, a bride, and a flower girl. They made us look great and were done early. Amanda has a splendid southern charm that makes her sociable and honest, which is a good thing when you want to look your best. Above all, Amanda is great at listening to your needs and can adapt when necessary. She is also very easy to do business contracts and payments with long distance. I love Amanda and her team. Our wedding was a destination and she was super flexible scheduling a trial and adding people to the list of hair and make up. I loved that Amanda only worked on me, which made it feel like a more laid back morning, while her other artists worked on my bridesmaids, Mom, and Aunt. It was also quite hot for our wedding and everything was outdoors. The make up held up through the heat, including when my bridesmaids took a post reception dip in the pool. Highly highly recommend.

Amanda is absolutely amazing!! From our first phone chat I knew she was exactly who I wanted to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she blew me away. I was nervous about getting my makeup professionally done because I had some pretty bad experiences in the past, but she completely put my mind at ease. She asked me in my own words to describe how I wanted to look and feel, and she absolutely nailed it at our trial and on my wedding day. Amanda and her team were in an irreplaceable, incredible component of my wedding day. My bridesmaids and my mother and mother in law looked incredible; I can personally attest to feeling beautiful and incredible as well! Amanda was warm, talented, and a true professional. She went above and beyond Call of duty, moving from make up and hair to wedding dress rehab when there was a rain fiasco. Needless to say, my wedding dress looked as flawless as my hair and make up when the time came!! I had the privilege of having Amanda for make-up application for myself and 8 other girls the morning of our wedding and a make-up trial on the day of my engagement photos. Everything was done in a timely manner and we all looked stunning! Amanda was extremely helpful during the planning process, recommending beauty supply’s or local estheticians for facial treatments. She answered every email as if it were top priority. I would use Amanda and her team, again and again!

I have started retyping this review over and over again because I just do not even know where to begin with how happy I was to have found Amanda! From the start, she made it easy and by my wedding date I felt like we were old friends. We started off with emails and phone calls to talk about my vision which soon turned into "our vision"- I think she's a mind reader, or maybe just a really good listener :), because she just got it. I live in Philadelphia, but my wedding was in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Working around our schedules, Amanda was able to make a trip to Philly, not once, but twice for my hair and makeup trials. I had changed my mind about my wedding dress (which would mean a new hairstyle, too) and I texted Amanda right away. She didn't even hesitate and we set up another time for her to come visit for a second trial. Amanda did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner, too. A fun ponytail with soft makeup to reflect our casual evening. It was perfect. The woman can do a killer pony! Then came the wedding. Words cannot express how Amanda made me feel that day. When I look back, getting ready is still one of my favorite memories. Not only did Amanda make me feel like the most beautiful, but natural version of myself, but she made me feel comfortable and calm as we chatted the afternoon away and shared stories of our lives. Amanda did my bridesmaids hair and makeup as well and they couldn't have been more beautiful. She even offered to beautify my mom and mother-in-law who did not originally request any hair or makeup up. To sum my long and mushy review up-I feel SO grateful to have found Amanda who is not only extremely talented in what she does, but an amazing soul, too. THANK YOU!

Amanda and her team did a phenomenal job for my wedding! Everything from my first consultation with her, to my hair & makeup trial, to all of the bridesmaids raving about how the team was able to create the vision they had in mind were amazing. Amanda's team was amazing the morning of my wedding! They showed up early and did a great job! They were so patient with my group who changed from 4 airbrush make ups to 9 (once the other girls saw how great the make up was, they all decided to get it done as well). Everyone was done on time and they looked beautiful all night even with the dancing and humidity!

Amanda and her team were exactly what I was looking for on the day of my wedding. They executed what I pictured for my wedding day perfectly! They were super easy-going, up-beat and fun to work with! Amanda and her team made sure you were happy with their work and made great recommendations/suggestions- trust them - they've been doing this for a long time and know what will look best in pictures and stand up to the heat/humidity/whatever weather you're dealing with! They were also the fastest, most efficient working makeup team I have every been a part of on a wedding day which was so nice when you don't have to wake up at 7am to start getting hair and make up done! lol. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience with Amanda! From my makeup trial months before my wedding to my wedding day! We had so many ladies get hair and makeup done and not only did everyone look amazing, Amanda was able to complete everyones hair and makeup so fast! I also have to say my now husband was so nervous about me having too much makeup on and looking different than I normally do and not only did Amanda listed when we talked about it, my husband was SO excited to see how I looked. She is a doll!

Amanda and her team were great! I was really stressed about time but Amanda had it all under control! She did an amazing job on everyone's hair and I loved everyone's make up - she really focused on making everyone look their best rather than doing everyones make up the same same with the hair -- I did not have my bridesmaids all have the same hair and she did a great job with everyone's different hair types. She did last minute touch ups and gave everyone a sample size of their lip color for touching up at the venue. Amanda spent a lot of time on my hair making sure it was perfect and would hold up all night (which it did!). She also worked with me so that I could schedule my make up trial on the same day as my engagement photoshoot. She is very easy to reach and can answer a lot of questions you may have about hair/make up. She went above and beyond on my wedding day and I can honestly say I would not have been able walked down the aisle without her being there!
