Founder and lead photographer Hope sees her photography style as a combination of different elements. She admires minimalism and earth tones, coupling these with her desire to document emotion. For Hope Allison Photography, your wedding is the beginning of a brand new journey. This photographer wants to capture it for you to cherish for years to come.
Starting with an engagement photoshoot, Hope Allison Photography aspires to capture what makes your love so unique. Hope likes to encourage her clients to use these engagement photos on their save-the-dates or in their guest book. For larger celebrations, a second photographer is happy to provide assistance to make sure that all of your carefully planned details are documented. Once she has finished editing all of your images, Hope grants you access to an online gallery where you can download and print your favorites.

as our photographer was truly the easiest part of wedding planning. I am lucky to have known Hope since college, and have followed her career as a photographer for years - I even knew I wanted her as my wedding photographer before I met my husband! She and Max captured our day with such grace, joy and efficiency, a tough combination to find! The photos are such a beautiful blend of her artistic style, but she also made sure to capture the portraits we knew we would want in the long term, but were less excited to pose for. She and Max captured every emotion of the day, and my whole family laughed and cried all over again looking through the completed album. We can't thank her enough!!

To begin with, Hope and Max are the kindest souls and bring so much peace to any moment with them, including awkward engagement shoot feels where you don't know what you're doing. It truly feels like you're with friends and your biggest cheerleader. In the chaos of your wedding day, it's important to have people and vendors like that surrounding you. The added bonus is that the photos that Hope takes are a work of art. She is so good at capturing raw moments and true emotions. I had full trust in her to capture my day in her own creative way - a way that in years to come, I'll be able to feel that very emotion that I was feeling on my wedding day. They have a way of being everywhere at the right time and were so helpful with advice while planning our wedding day. We upgraded to the Super 8 film as well and cannot wait to see that magic that Max makes. style for the venue, timeline or vendors. On the wedding day, as soon as she showed up she was an immediate calming presence, and I can’t thank her enough for that. And don’t even get me started on her work - absolutely gorgeous and stunning. We didn’t hire a videographer (wasn’t in our budget, unfortunately) but her photos alone told the story of how the day unfolded and showed the emotions. She captured it perfectly, all the guests kept coming up to us saying how she always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. shoe, Hope had double sided tape! When we were panicking about whether or not to move our ceremony inside because of expected rain, Hope calmly encouraged us to stay outside (best decision)! When our officiant forgot to ask everyone to be seated, Hope reminded them to do so. She made the day truly perfect! Hire her!

photos of myself -- but Hope made me feel incredibly comfortable from the beginning. Not only did she help me feel at ease through her easy demeanor but she fit in seamlessly with our wedding party. She helped me and my bridesmaids get ready, instructed us on how to cut the cake (tip: don't start at the top tier), and encouraged us to get married in the pouring rain (best decision ever). I wish we had grabbed some photos with her; that's how important she was to us on our big day!
And the photos. The photos! The Super 8 film! I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. Hope perfectly captured the energy of the day. My husband and I are working to create a wedding album and we quickly hit the max photo limit. Instead of cutting back on photos, we've decided to create 2 albums because we want to have physical copies of every moment Hope captured.

helpful with timeline creation. She listened to any preferences we had and was super flexible. Throughout the day she was a joy to be around and made us laugh the whole time. I hate getting my picture taken but she made me feel comfortable and at ease. Don't even get me started on how the pictures turned out!!!! My husband thought the preview shots she sent us (within 24 hours of our wedding ending mind you!!) were fake wedding images of models. THEY WERE THAT GOOD!! s late afternoon, and Hope worked with the long light in a beautiful way. We feel so lucky to have these photos as a snapshot in time.
Although neither of us had worked with a professional photographer before, she made us feel comfortable, and it was fun and easy to spend the afternoon outside taking photos. Hope gave very clear instructions, and you could really tell she knew what she was doing, both technically and artistically. Though she had a vision for our shoot, she let us give input as well, and didn’t mind snapping some silly pictures in addition to the more intentional photos.
Hope uploaded, edited, and curated our photos really quickly. We were surprised when only a day after our shoot we received a link to view and download our pictures.
Overall, we had a great first photo shoot experience. We would definitely work with Hope again, and would recommend her to anyone!

Something that we are particularly grateful for was her eye for the details and her initiative--when the sunset was making particularly beautiful light, she pulled Abagail and me away briefly to take advantage of the unexpected opportunity.
