The band was fantastic! Kelly was a huge help in actually helping to facilitate our reception. It was such an awkward time with the pandemic and the band did a fabulous job working with all the restrictions in place. Everyone loved them!

Look no further! Horizon and the Horns is THE BEST. We booked the band in 2018 for our 2020 wedding based on rave reviews we got from family friends. Kelly was so helpful through the booking process, answering all of our questions and recommending the six or seven-piece band based on our venue. We chose the six-piece venue. The COVID-19 lockdown went into effect ten weeks prior to our wedding. Kelly was so helpful when it came to postponing our wedding and made it all easy during such a stressful and sad time. Kelly always responded to my emails quickly and was eager to meet if needed. As it got closer to our 2021 wedding, Kelly ensured that she had every detail correct and we were ready to go including pronouncing everyone's names correctly. Finally, the day came and the band was amazing!!!! The dance floor was packed all night. Guests even started dancing during dinner because the music was too good to wait. Horizon and the Horns made our day absolutely perfect. Seriously, don't hire anyone else.

We can't say enough about this group. They played for 7 hours at our NYE wedding. They entertain with instrumentals, oldies, ballads, Motown, 80's, 90's, and todays top hits. They even learned a song just for our special night!! That is dedication. The male and female singers are amazing and energetic, and really cover all areas and genres together. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you manage to find a song they don’t know, they’ll learn it, and they’ll knock it out of the park. They’ll play every song you wanted and all the awesome ones you forgot to ask about. Kelly’s got pipes like you wouldn’t believe. Nick will make you wonder how the hell you got so lucky finding this band. Brian and the rest of the horn section will make you wonder why you ever thought you could live without a horn section. Ray will make your crowd laugh and smile and beg for more dad jokes. Horizon & the Horns were great! They were able to accommodate ceremony music, a jazz cocktail hour and the reception. They were all very professional and played what our guests (and their young children) wanted to hear. We are so glad we chose them and heard from many of our guests that the band was amazing. They made it a very fun wedding.

We got the chance to meet with Kelly before the wedding and right from the start we knew we were in good hands. She is professional, outgoing, and really listened to the thoughts we had in mind for music. We went back and forth on what size band we want and ultimately we went for the full 7 piece and think the extra piece really added a lot. On our wedding day the whole band was absolutely great. We had guitar and piano at our ceremony and they were kind enough to learn one of our processional songs and give honest advice about a piece that they didn’t think would work so well, which we really appreciated, they are the professionals after all! At our reception they knocked it out of the park!! They learned our first dance song and played it BETTER than the original. They were absolutely our most rave review from our guests, everyone wanted to know about them and how we had found them. They kept the energy up and Kelly did a perfect job as emcee keeping the event flowing smoothly. The only disappointment of the night is when they had to pack up and leave! I could not recommend that you book Horizon and the Horns enough! Just go do it now and thank yourself later as you watch all your guests have a fantastic time.

Booking Horizon and the Horns were one of the best planning decisions my fiancé and I made during this whole process- Kelly is so organized and helpful, she was immensely patient with all our questions and song changes, she did an incredible job MCing the speeches, and the timeline of the event, and the whole band did a truly spectacular job at getting people on the dance floor and staying there!! Kelly and the band also completely rolled with a rather difficult set-up for the band in our space- they made it work perfectly and were flexible with their schedule because of it. The dance floor was full the whole night and guests could not stop raving about how great they were as a wedding band. They did a spectacular job on the parent dances and our last dance for the night as well as playing so many fun jams throughout the evening. And most importantly, you get SO much for your money- they are so reasonable considering the quality of music and performance you are getting. I wish I could give them ten stars! You cannot go wrong booking them, what are you waiting for??

Horizon & the Horns are by far the best wedding band I've experienced and I've been lucky enough to attend more than my fair share of weddings. Not only are they talented musicians and singers, but they really bring the party. There's never a dull moment and they make sure everyone is out on the dance floor. I couldn't recommend them more!

You cannot beat Horizon and The Horns! If you want the entire wedding party up dancing all night, they are the band for you! The best of the best! Not only are they fun but they are incredibly organized and everything is done top notch! I am lucky enough to keep attending weddings with Horizon as the band, I will never get sick of them :)

These guys are THE BEST. They had so much energy and kept the dance floor full all night. It didn’t hurt that the lead singer could sing basically anything and nail it (ask her about TLC’s Waterfalls & thank me later). They even kept the littlest guests happy with a basket of instruments! We loved Horizon & the Horns. Kelly took the time to meet with us to go over playlists and artists we were currently listening to. We gave her a general idea of what we would like and asked that they play what they felt was right for the vibe. They did an incredible job keeping the mood up beat and getting the guests involved, especially the kids at the wedding. Guest feedback after the wedding was that it was one of the best wedding bands they had heard. Highly recommended!

Horizon and the Horns were awesome. We first attended a wedding that they played, and we had a total blast. When we were planning our wedding, we immediately thought of them. Kelly was so helpful throughout the planning process, it felt like we were in good hands. Our wedding itself was fantastic! The band brings incredible energy and liveliness to the party. We're both musicians and all of our colleagues were commenting on how great the band was. Everyone was out on the dance floor and having a ball.

The fact that our friends are still talking about our wedding band 3 weeks after our wedding should say it all. If you want your guests to wear out their boogie shoes and be sore from dancing the next day, book Horizon & the Horns now! We were certainly rookies when it came to wedding planning which was why it was so refreshing to work with Kelly. She was always responsive and extremely easy to work with, providing helpful feedback throughout the whole process. Horizon & the Horns not only accommodated but executed every one of our requests. We had some unique song choice requests for our ceremony and first dances which was never an issue for these pros! Our wedding was at a summer camp that was fairly rustic which was also never a problem. Kelly and the band were able to provide and set up microphones for our wedding ceremony which was extremely helpful. Ray played the piano for our ceremony which made for such a meaningful experience for us and our guests. The full seven piece band rocked the night away for our reception, playing every song we requested and then some. We can say enough about the energy they brought, from their talent alone, to their interaction with the crowd, it was amazing. We can’t thank (and recommend) Kelly, Ray, and the rest of the band enough!

Horizon & the Horns were absolutely fantastic! We selected them after having a chance to see them at another wedding - we were so impressed by to range of songs and genres they played so well, and really appreciated what a great emcee Kelly was for the intros and speeches. They were wonderful about specific songs my husband and I hoped to have played and were overall a delight to work with. We had a couple of their musicians perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour which I highly recommend - they took care of all of the sound equipment needed and did a really wonderful job. I highly, highly recommend Horizon & the Horns - we have gotten so many comments from friends about how fun the band was!

I cannot recommend this band more highly. They have played at my own, my sister's and numerous friend's weddings and at every event they had the dance floor packed with people having a great time. Not only do they play current songs along with the wedding classics, they do a great job transitioning the different parts of the reception (from the speeches to dinner, cake cutting, etc.). At my own wedding the evening flowed perfectly and I received many compliments the next morning from guests (including both our younger friends as well as older family members) who had a great time on the dance floor and enjoyed the reception as a whole. We've been married 7 years and we still try to catch Horizon when they play at local restaurants, events, etc.

Having Horizon & The Horns play at our wedding was the best choice we could have made. Now three out from the wedding, the number one comment we have gotten from our guests is how much fun it was to have such a terrific live band at the wedding. From booking the band, to choosing songs, to taking care of logistical details Kelly made the process easy and fun. She and the rest of the band were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. Most importantly, the band is absolutely terrific. They have a terrific repertoire, have great energy, and sound terrific. Kelly does a great job MCing too -- something incredibly important that many couples overlook. We used the band for our ceremony music as well and were incredibly pleased and impressed. It can be really hard to get this to come off right but even in an outdoor venue they took care of all of the sound equipment and sounded terrific. We can't recommend the band highly enough -- we were absolutely thrilled.

We had the BEST wedding all thanks to Horizon & the Horns!! The day ran a little differently than planned (delayed ceremony start, ceremony was moved inside, ran a bit late taking pictures during cocktail hour), but the band rolled with all of the changes. A few months before the wedding, we made a special request for our first song to be a cover of an EDM song that me and my [now husband] both loved, and it was so perfect and so special. Once the dancing started, man, it didn't stop! There was not one moment during the reception when the dance floor was empty. At one point, the horns were playing on the dance floor, and I was handed (or grabbed) the microphone to sing! They really know how to keep a crowd entertained. It was the best reception and the best night. We also used their uplighting instead of hiring a separate vendor, and it was perfect!! Our friends were all very impressed by the band and their ability to play such a variety of songs. A truly spectacular band and an unforgettable evening!

A huge thank you to Horizon and the Horns for helping us throw a fantastic party and make our wedding so memorable! From the onset in planning, we knew we wanted a great dance band. They exceeded all expectations -- from working with us early on song selections, to creating a custom playlist for the cocktail hour, to keeping everyone out on the dance floor until the last song. I really appreciated how organized, professional, and thoughtful Kelly, Ray and the entire band were throughout the process. In addition to a great dance set, they brought tambourines for the kiddos, did a great job MC'ing the reception, and rolled with the weather by moving the speakers and mic set up last minute due to rain. We had a number of guests complement the band after the wedding, saying it was the best they had heard. If there was a sixth star, I'd give it -- we couldn't recommend them more highly!

Horizon & The Horns recently played at our wedding; we had the 7 piece band and could not have been more amazed and satisfied with having the whole crew there! The entire band was personable, laid back, and so much fun, getting the crowd involved with playing music and dancing. They were easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating with our every wish, which made the entire process easy and stress-free. We would definitely recommend Horizon & The Horns and would certainly have them back at another event!

Words can not adequately describe how spectacular and special Horizon and the Horns made our night. They nailed everything, from the music requests for the ceremony to ending the night on "Shout". They were perfect. So many people have asked us for the band name. They had everyone dancing all night, including the staff at the venue. Ray is extremely kind and easy to work with. I can honestly say that our wedding would not have been nearly as fun without them.

We could not be happier with how absolutely AMAZING Horizon and the Horns was!! Kelly was so great and reassuring during our conversations leading up to the big day. Ray learned a new song like a week before the wedding to play at my ceremony!! I gave them very little to work from and they absolutely nailed it! The music selection was amazing, they were able to keep everyone up and on the dance floor all night!!! Even people who don't usually dance!! Their energy was amazing!! We wish we could do it all over again!!!

It was a no-brainer to hire Ray and the band for our daughter's wedding.. Reasonably priced Incredible variety Exceptionally talented group Top that off with them playing every song on the bride and groom's playlist (plus a few very special requests) and how easily they kept the guests involved and thrilled with the reception. Horizon & The Horns is one of the best bands I've heard. They keep current with music and are always connected with the audience and musical tempo of 'the moment'. We recently hired them for a private event and we're delighted with the results - everyone had a great time, in large part attributed to the music and band members. I've heard them play at a few weddings as well, with similar results. Each band member is fully engaged and works hard to make any event a memorable one. You can't go wrong with this band. I could go on forever about how grateful I am that we had Horizon & the Horns play our wedding on 8/11/17. Being a local bride, friends and family immediately knew to expect an amazing time when they heard Horizon would be playing our wedding, but it was so fun to see how blown away our out of town guests were by Horizon's talents. They really kept the party going all night long! Kelly and Ray and company are amazing and the time they took to help make several moments of our wedding into once in a lifetime moments will never be forgotten. Our wedding ended on a beach dance floor and the Horizon sang our last song next to us on the dance floor on acoustic guitar. I am still in awe of the extra mile they took to make our wedding amazing. I feel so honored they were apart of our special day.

Horizon was incredible at our wedding. They were pros, through and through, and, most importantly, they kept the dance floor PACKED all night long. To this day, friends and family remark about what a blast they had at our reception, and it always comes back to the music. Seriously, I could not recommend you guys any more highly (and I do receommend you, all the time). If you're looking for the perfect band to make your reception unforgettable, this is the one.

We have had the pleasure of attending several events with this band. This band's array of music is just amazing and their talent is outstanding. They really seem to understand their audience and adapt accordingly. One thing we have seen each time they were playing is the number of people on the dance floor. Horizon & The Horns have a great way of getting people up and dancing. Each of the musicians is very talented but I need to mention the lead singer, Kelly. She has an amazing voice and an even better stage presence. We would highly recommend this band!!!!

We were at an Endicott College Jazz and Blues concert given by Horizon & The Horns. What a nite -they were great. Just a terrific nite we really enjoyed it and I am not a big Jazz guy.They make Jazz great again.

Horizon & The Horns are the best! We were beyond satisfied with their performance at our wedding. They were VERY professional; took the time to ensure that they were prepared to play everything we wanted them to play; were reasonably priced; and most importantly, kept everyone dancing and having fun all night long. In an ever changing world if there is one thing that has remained consistent it is the enjoyable sound of Horizon& The Horns. Their instrumentation, singing, and overall presentation is what separates them from the rest. Have had the pleasure of attending several events with Horizon & The Horns. I find they understand their audience very well and focus on the appropriate music. In addition, their array of songs is amazing. One common element I find each time is they get people up and dancing. People seem to really enjoy the "show" and enjoy themselves. Each band member is especially good at what they do. The lead singer has an amazing voice and an outstanding stage presence.

“Your band was amazing!” is one of the most frequent comments I have heard from friends and family since our wedding on July 1, 2017. And I have to agree – we were thrilled with Horizon & the Horns! We went with the full 7-piece band and they were all awesome! Amazing variety of music (check out a sampling from their song list on their website - http://www.horizonandthehorns.com/song-list.html), they can do all the classics, current pop music, swing, jazz, rock. Since the wedding, two separate friends who are planning their own weddings in different states have said they are now considering a band instead of a DJ – if they can find someone like Horizon! With a little notice, they will also learn songs – our first dance was a slowed down version of Katy Perry’s Firework (sentimental reasons ha) and they were able to do that arrangement no problem. The dance floor was packed all night and the band also appears to be having a great time with you! Beyond the music, working with Ray Novack is the best! He’s very responsive and clearly knows what he’s doing when it comes to weddings – he thinks of every detail, including many that I would have missed myself! The day-of his daughter Kelly, vocalist and more, does an awesome job of “MC-ing” the reception – every name pronounced perfectly and aware of everything going on. I realized mid-way through the dance party that I wanted a photo on the dance floor of all my college friends (husband and I are college sweethearts) – I went up to Ray, while he was on keyboard, and asked if he could work that in. He got the message to Kelly, she announced the photo, the group gathered and then we were back to dancing – it was all so seamless! Awesome music, awesome energy – thank you Horizon & the Horns! Update: A friend at the wedding just booked Horizon & the Horns for her own wedding!

I am SO glad we had Horizon and the Horns at our wedding. They were incredible! We had the jazz trio play for cocktail hour and the 7-piece band for our reception. Throughout the planning process, Kelly was great to work with. She was extremely responsive and very accommodating to our requests. I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen Horizon perform and the dance floor and music was very important to us, and we were SO happy with our band choice. They played all great music and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. They did a great job playing new and old music so all guests were up and dancing, and they had fun props and came out onto the dance floor to get everyone engaged.

I have heard Horizon and the Horns play for many events over the years in the Beverly area. Ray was also the band director at our high school and both our children were in the band. We were thrilled to have his band play at our daughter's wedding in Salem. Of the many compliments we have had about the wedding , overwhelming people loved the band. The dance floor was always moving and Kelly (his daughter) is an unbelievable lead singer and MC. They are reasonable priced and I would highly recommend this band.

Do yourself and all of your wedding guests a favor: Stop looking at other options and book Horizon & The Horns right now! 3 months after our wedding, our family and friends are still raving about how awesome these guys were. Kelly & Ray provided the music for our ceremony, and were excellent. The full band played our first dance live, which was absolutely fantastic. And once the party got started, they kept our guests dancing the entire night! We barely had time to say hi to everyone because the dance floor was so packed! We couldn't have been any happier on the night, and Kelly was a complete pleasure to work with from start to finish. We completely and enthusiastically recommend Horizon & The Horns!

We ended up going with them after going to a family wedding that they played. Seriously, they can read a crowd! People were dancing before the salads. They slayed our first dance and parents dances, and we're super easy to work with. Our event coordinator couldn't say enough about them.

Horizons & The Horns was the perfect band for our recent wedding in Newport. We heard them play at our Maid of Honor's wedding 2 years ago and knew that we needed to secure them for our own wedding. The whole group is so fun and knows how to get the crowd out of their seats and dancing. They easily accommodated our song list and we let them kind of run with it from there. Pretty sure our bridesmaids got a hold of tambourines and joined the band for a couple songs. We also had the Kelly and Ray play for the ceremony. Can't wait to relive their performance in our video! On the plus side, they were very reasonable compared to our bands that we talked to (especially in the Newport, RI area). Would HIGHLY recommend using this band. They made our wedding day perfect and all our guests loved them. The saddest part was when they were done!

When it came time to choose a wedding band, my fiance and I listened to many bands. We chose Horizon and the Horns and it was a great decision. Our guests are still commenting about what a great band we had at our wedding. Horizon and the Horns sound great and they play a variety of music for all musical tastes. Ray Novack kept our guests dancing all night. He is also professional and pleasant to deal with. He made it known that it was “our” day and he would do whatever we requested. Ray had the band learn some Spanish songs for my family. He also accommodated my fiance, David, by researching and playing a special song for David’s mom. You don’t get that personal touch with other wedding vendors. I highly recommend Horizon and the Horns. They are an amazing band and they are a big part of my wonderful, wedding-day memories.

My wife and I have had the great luck to hire Horizon and the Horns for two of our children's weddings and a 90th birthday party for my wife's aunt. People came from all over the country to these events and never failed to say how much the band added to these celebrations. My wife's aunt was out on the dance floor at 90!! She thanked us and said, "The band made the party." Horizon stays contemporary and offers a flexibility in terms of song selection few bands can match. They play with joy and are happy to add to events in any way they can, but mostly they love to get people out of their seats and on the dance floor. If you are looking to have the wedding that everyone talks about then go ahead and hire Horizon and the Horns! First off they couldn't have been easier to coordinate with. They had everything set up for the ceremony and cocktail hour which sounded great and everyone was pleased to hear the bride and groom not just the justice of the peace. Then as a band, they played every single song we wished for. They had everyone on their feet the entire night. They came out to the floor which was so fun for the younger crowd. My guests have not stopped talking about it almost 2 years later. My best friend is getting married in April, her parents were at my wedding and wanted Horizon and the Horns, so lucky me I get to be a guest and enjoy them again. Cannot say enough great things! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I hired Horizon & The Horns for our wedding reception and they were absolutely fantastic!! They took the time to meet with us prior to the party and go over details, the were flexible on what was provided and worked within our budget. Then when it came time to party they delivered with an exceptional ability to work the crowd and get people out on the dance floor. They had everything we were looking for -- male and female vocals, a wide variety of songs/genres, brass instruments, willing to learn new songs, reasonably priced, etc! Horizon & The Horns has played at two family weddings. We knew from the start that they would do a wonderful job, and they did! The wide variety of music accommodates all ages. Special requests are no problem. Their charisma and high energy is contagious. Both receptions were most memorable because of the wonderful job that the band did. Ray Novack is a wonderful MC and the quality of the music is outstanding. We highly recommend them for any occasion and think that they are a great band for any occasion.

On a scale of 1-10, we give them a 20! From the moment our guests started to arrive, to our first dance, to the last song of the evening, they had the perfect music for every moment. Plus they do an awesome job interacting with everyone. 2 weeks later our guests are still raving! If you're looking for the perfect band with a vast selection, look no further, horizon is the band for you. 

We hired Horizon for our wedding a few years back, and still get compliments on the entertainment value of our wedding. The band kicks butt, and was really flexible with our event. They are a finely-tuned entertainment machine, having the ability to play a huge variety of music for all tastes and situations. We're happy we decided to pass on a DJ and put a few extra bucks into a live band. It was worth it.

Words cannot express how absolutely grateful we feel to have had the privilege to have Horizon and the Horns as the band at our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding. They are the most FANTASTIC people, and the most amazing musicians and singers. I have never had such a fabulous time at a wedding in my life (and we have been to some great weddings), and the fact that it was our daughter’s wedding and we were able to really celebrate with all of our family and friends and dance the entire night made it even more wonderful. We had people to our house the next day for brunch, and have received several phone calls with the same comments: “Where did you ever find that band, they were amazing…Never have we been to such a fun wedding…The band was incredible, they played such a variety of music and the singers were amazing!” So many people told us that they thought the band had as much fun as all of the guests and that the band's enthusiasm and charisma really made the night fabulous. Our goal for the wedding reception was to have a fun party with all the people we love. Not only did they make this happen, they exceeded our hopes and truly made this a night we will never forget.

My Husband and I hired the Horizon and the Horns (7 piece band) to play at our son’s wedding at the PEM in Salem, MA, we were not disappointed!!! While speaking with friends and neighbors about our upcoming son’s wedding, we received four unsolicited OUTSTANDING comments about the Horizon and the Horns band. We were so glad we followed their recommendation. Everyone was dancing even my daughter-in-law’s conservative relatives from Japan, that had never experienced an American style wedding! We are still getting comments about the band from our friends and relatives that were at our Son’s wedding today. An extra bonus was Ray the band leader, he was terrific to work with prior to the event. I would HIGHLY recommend the Horizon and the Horns band, you will not be disappointed.

When it came time to choose the music for my son and daughter-in-law's local "After the California Wedding" celebration, I knew for sure that I wanted Ray and Horizon, because I was familiar with them from other events. I made all other arrangements around making sure that would happen, and it was the best decision I made. Because of the nature of the party, we chose a smaller ensemble. Simply stated, the band "made" the party. Everything about the experience was top notch, from planning to fulfilling special requests (in our case, a special classical choral piece!), but the best part is how they had EVERYONE up on the floor dancing - literally, from 1 year old to 97 years old - I have pictures to prove it! No one wanted the fun to stop! I would recommend them without hesitation!

Horizon & the Horns played at our wedding at the Essex Room in October 2013. Prior to selecting them for our wedding, I had the opportunity to attend 2 other weddings where they played and they were phenomenal. Everyone was always on the dance floor! There was no doubt in my mind I wanted Horizon & the Horns at my wedding as well. Ray was fantastic to work with. From the very beginning he was very accommodating, making sure he knew what we wanted at our wedding for music and what we didn't want. I also wanted to sing a short song for my husband, and Ray was willing to run with my idea. Since I lived far away he worked with me over the phone to figure out the correct key for the song, and everything went very smoothly the day of the wedding. To this day I still have friends and family tell me that our wedding was one of the best they have every been to, and I know that Horizon & the Horns was the main reason for that. Definitely recommend!

Horizon and the Horns (the entire ensemble) played at our wedding reception at Colonial Hall, Salem MA, in July of 2014. We checked our desired wedding date with the band before we had chosen a venue, or any vendors, because we had heard them before and we KNEW we had to have them! Since our wedding reception was more of an unstructured party with a buffet dinner and no seating arrangements, Ray worked with us to choose the music—we very specifically wanted up-tempo Soul and Motown, without the typical wedding dances (Chicken Dance, Daddy’s Little Girl, etc). We were not doing the usual dances with the wedding party, no garter, no cutting of the cake, etc. Ray listened to us, and really delivered—our guests LOVED the music, and danced throughout our entire party, which is exactly what we wanted! Ray also let us choose the programmed ‘break’ music (when the band took their break) and he was extremely accommodating and agreeable throughout the whole planning process. At the event, every member of the band was a real pro! It is to their credit that many of our friends stayed until the very end, and only stopped dancing when the party was over. So many of our friends—even now, a year later!—ask us who the fantastic band was. Horizon and the Horns was an integral part of the success of our night! Thank you, Ray!
