My wedding was the best day ever thanks to Mallory and the Hotel Carmichael team. They were so helpful and professional throughout the planning process to the actual wedding day. I don’t have enough good things to say about the entire staff. I knew that going into the wedding day, that everything would be managed and executed to a T (which it was!) They made the entire process from start to finish so special, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a wedding in Carmel or the greater Indianapolis area! The wedding guests had nothing but incredible things to say about how gorgeous the hotel and venue was, and I couldn’t agree more.

This hotel is stunningly beautiful. The wedding reception was gorgeous, and all of the wait staff were first rate - and virtually invisible.....they did their thing and delivered everyone's dinner hot and delicious, and quickly. In addition, my husband has been a pastor for over 32 years. He said about Mallory Davis, our hotel sales contact, "She was the most competent, efficient, pleasant and well organized wedding coordinator he has ever met." I think one of the good things about Mallory was how calm and professional she was. We have seen wedding coordinators who are loud and bossy. Mallory most definitely was not like that. It was amazing, too, to be staying at the Hotel Carmichael, and just to be able to go up to our rooms after the reception - really ideal. The front desk staff are very courteous and attentive as well, and a shout out to the staff at Vivante restaurant. My mother in law flew over from London for the wedding. When she arrived, she really wanted a hot chocolate. The manager at Vivante said, "We can do that," and it was so appreciated ! The valets outside the hotel were really friendly, too - definitely Indiana hospitality. They recommended Joe's Butcher Shop for lunch sandwiches, which we really enjoyed. I even loved walking on the walking path behind the hotel, and my nieces and nephews loved the outdoor fire pits. One of the things I look for in a venue is if they have a nice Ladies Room. Hotel Carmichael's are gorgeous. It was our daughter's dream wedding from start to finish !!! Mallory explained all of the costs up front, and what helped us keep in budget was paying the bar tab based on consumption, rather than a flat per person fee - I highly recommend that if your group, like ours, does not include big drinkers. Everything was wonderful - we loved staying at and watching our daughter get married at Hotel Carmichael.

The Hotel Carmichael was a dreamy location! It’s the perfect space for the ceremony, reception and cocktail hour- which having the ballroom transformed beautifully for each part of the wedding and the fun of the balcony space for the cocktail hour and reception. We were able to have a rehearsal the day before despite there being a wedding there and that was well organised as well. We felt the venue couldn’t have been classier, the food couldn’t have been more delicious and we loved the staff there too. Also our vendors had all worked at the Carmichael before and often shared that it was one of their favourite places to work.

We got married at Hotel Carmichael a few weeks ago and highly recommend them as a wedding venue!
Very grateful we chose Hotel Carmichael as our wedding venue. From start to finish, the team made planning seamless and stress-free, allowing us to truly enjoy the process and focus on the excitement of our big day.
We coincidentally were the last couple in December 2023 to sign a contract where the venue offered a wedding coordinator with the wedding package. Hotel Carmichael takes care of everything from decor, linens, catering, wedding cake, bar and so much more. Highly recommend Hotel Carmichael as your venue if on the search. We had Mallory Davis as our Wedding Coordinator and she was so amazing and patient with all of our questions and any last minute changes. She also was very patient with our opinionated parents which we were very grateful for and thanked her for. On wedding day I didn't noticed a single thing that was done incorrectly like people tend to say. We also donated all of our wedding flowers to my grandma memory care after the wedding and hotel Carmichael team was kind enough to store them all in an office the night after the wedding for my family to pick up the next day!

We had our wedding reception at Hotel Carmichael in late July, and we cannot recommend them enough! Not only do they have a gorgeous ballroom and hotel, but they also have an amazing staff! We worked with Sarah, their catering sales manager, from start to finish and she was incredible to work with — from her enthusiasm and comprehensive information at the beginning of the planning process to the end to her attentive communication over the past year, to her professionalism and accommodation in working with all our vendors and our special requests, to her assistance with and flawless execution of all our details, to ensuring everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. She was a pleasure to work with and an invaluable asset to the Hotel Carmichael.
We were equally impressed with Ryan and the sales and catering staff’s ability to handle our special accommodations and guest requests from rooms to dietary restrictions. Our guests were blown away by their courteous and friendly staff, beautiful aesthetics and the elevated experience Hotel Carmichael offers. From the courteous front desk staff, to the friendly and efficient valets and bellhops and housekeeping staff to the well mannered cocktail and dinner servers and bartending staff, it was such a pleasant and worry free experience for us! The food presentation was beautiful and guests raved about all of it! They also have an in house pastry chef that makes all the wedding cakes. I had a special request for her to make the design of our cake match the details on my wedding dress and to have our logo on there as well. I didn’t know what to expect, but she absolutely blew it out of the park with her execution! I was blown away when I saw it - it was STUNNING!
All of the Hotel Carmichael staff helped make our wedding weekend a truly unforgettable experience!
If you are looking for a wedding reception venue with excellent service, delicious upscale food, and a gorgeous space that makes for excellent pictures (there are so many different spots in and outside the hotel that we didn't need to travel to a separate location for pictures) then this is the place for you!

Hotel Carmichael exudes elegance and Mallory Davis, our primary contact, was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our daughter on her wedding day. From the very first contact, we knew we were in good hands.
The exterior of the hotel and the grounds are beautiful and the decor inside is gorgeous. Very grand with lots of gilded-era detail, dramatic chandeliers, tall windows and pretty fabrics. It is the perfect backdrop for a timeless, sophisticated wedding. The setting provides ample opportunities for lovely wedding photos.
The hotel staff, from the front desk to the catering team to the bartenders, were professional and provided top notch service to our guests. There are not enough words to describe the role that Mallory played in making the day absolutely perfect. She reassured both mother and the bride that every detail would be handled and that we just needed to show up and enjoy the day. And she delivered. Throughout months of planning, she promptly responded to emails and responded to my many questions with detailed information and patience. Mallory provided such amazing support the day of the wedding that it wasn't really necessary to hire a day-of coordinator. She calmly and confidently directed the bridal party and vendors to ensure that everything ran smoothly. On top of her professionalism, she is also a warm and sincere person. It was a pleasure to get to know her over the months of planning.
While the cost initially seemed a bit higher than other venues in the area, when doing a comparison, things like color linens, the cake, cake cutting, quality bar offerings, etc. that other venues charge extra for are included in the package price at Hotel Carmichael. It is more of an "all-in" price than you see at other venues.
If you want a memorable, classy, special, stress-free (or as close as you can get when talking about a wedding) day, don't hesitate to book Hotel Carmichael!

From the MOTB- the ENTIRE staff at the Hotel Carmichael was completely attentive and focused on our special day. Mallory was a complete GEM; she was very thorough, detail oriented, focused and uber calm on the wedding day.
I would HIGHLY recommend this absolutely perfect wedding reception venue to all who are looking. The service we received was Excellent. We also received numerous comments about how great the food, drinks and staff was during our event, and even days after. The staff was friendly, quick to respond to any need we had, courteous and extremely professional & polite.
It's hard to believe that the event has passed as we spent so much time working on it. Mallory and crew were always quick to respond to any email or phone requests we had. Suggesting things we might have forgotten and filling in the blanks if we had holes anywhere. The pastry chef "PASTRY CHEF TIA" Did an absolute AMAZING job in our wedding cake. We passed a few emails and met to discuss the design. The sketch she created was Exactly what we received on the wedding day.
I could go on an on but I would HIGHLY reccomend Hotel Carmichael for any event you plan to have. Excellence beyond expectations !!

This venue is gorgeous. We had 120 guests. I was a little worried that it would be too small, but it looked perfect. Our guests were amazed.
The team is very easy to work with. They worked with me on every one of my requests. Amanda is incredibly sweet and was very responsive leading up to our event.
I would rent this venue again and again to re-experience the magic the hotel offers.

We cannot say enough good things about working with the Carmichael! Everyone we worked with on the staff was professional, responsive to questions, and receptive to ideas and concerns. We worked with several coordinators over the course of our planning (each of which were wonderful), but Corinne took us "home" and was fantastic. She helped us organize the day, had thoughts on details that I frankly would not have thought of, and then kept the day of on track. And she did all this while the hotel had four other weddings that weekend! (We never once felt like we were neglected despite this fact, which in and of itself says something about how good the event staff there is.)
All of our guests complimented the hotel, how beautiful it was, how good the food was, and how professional and friendly the staff was.
All in all, the day went seamlessly, and the staff at the hotel, both the event staff and the hotel staff, was a big part of that. Thanks to all for making our day great!

Our wedding at Hotel Carmichael was amazing. We fell in love with the venue the minute we stepped through the door. Our planner Kathy was awesome to work with. She was able to help guide us through the planning process and make decisions. She retired before our actual wedding day, but Zach was able to step in and make our day wonderful. Naturally, we were a little uneasy with Kathy’s departure so close to the date. However, Zach gave us total confidence that everything would go as planned. He delivered on his promises and made us feel super special day of.
Our guests were extremely complementary of the entire experience. The elegant space and delicious food being universal highlights.
There was only one mishap the weekend of the wedding. Our guests were not given their wedding welcome bags upon check-in. This was disappointing as we loved this experience at other weddings we have attended. Our welcome bags were also a tad expensive and a labor of love, so it was not ideal that guests did not receive. Do not let this bag comment scare you! I just recommend reenforcing expectations should this be an element to your wedding at Hotel Carmichael.
Overall, Hotel Carmichael was able to bring our wedding vision to life. We cannot recommend this venue enough and cannot imagine being married anywhere else!

WOW! We were blown away with how our wedding turned out at the Hotel Carmichael. The planner at the venue, Kathy, was wonderful to work with and she offered us so many great ideas. She also listened to our vision, and made it a reality! So many decisions were included in having our wedding there, which was incredible for the planning process! The ballroom is stunning and our guests are still raving about the food. I cannot recommend this venue enough!
