The place is in the middle of a major update. A few rooms were available. This is going to be what it was once back in the day. Very fancy turn of the 20th century hotel. I puts you in mind of the Grand hotel in Michigan but much smaller. Next ...
year they expect things to be completely finished

This place is starting to come back to its former glory! The lobby and front bar are fully renovated, along with its two galley style ballrooms. You'll feel like you stepped back in time to the opulence of the 1920's, We had a decent tasty meal...
our first night at the hotel. Would 100% recommend the chocolate lava cake and to indulge in a well crafted cocktail from the bar. The wrap around veranda is just a splendid place to take in the tranquil beauty of the lake. We spent most of our time at the hotel just relaxing here. The rooms are still a work in progress, but still very good for sleeping! They have old school charm, but the rooms are still a little small and are lacking furniture, the bathrooms are a little tight as well. The rooms do all have functional and very cold air conditioning units however. Bonus tip, bring a hairdryer they are hit or miss in the rooms.

rd worker 💙. So yesterday was a hard day leaveing the hotel I cryed I cryed alot because if u would of known hotel conneaut back in its day it was not this and the ghosts would not want this. first and for most the owner is very snobbish I do not like that yes she wants wealthy people to attend her hotel that's not what hotel conneaut was about the room are about 200 a night u dont get TV and the room is outdated like it use to be so wheres my outdated price?. Like the times before from the last owner who let me say was very cool and let us just enjoy the hotel and have fun and he was decent on the price and he was really down to earth not rich and stuck up and trying to change the hotel for the wealthy. they took the juke box off the wall off so u can't play ur own music. u can't ghost hunt all night night by yourself anymore. They chased the physic team out of there now we have to go to another building just to have it like litterlly come on old owner come back im not going to sugar coat stuff on here the old owner was way better the new one I feel is all about self and money and not very outgoing very stuck up and im not about that. like after a very long long long go I probbly won't stay here anymore sad face so to say last night was the last for me and all my people I grew for years upon years knowing it's super sad for us so no the change is not good not good at all I litterlly had anxiety yesterday leaveing there knowing what me and others had had there is gone the bench the under tree where everyone would sit for shade is gone no chairs to sit the dj outside hut with bar is gone it plan outside no corn hole anymore no nothing there's nothing it's all gone nothing to do just proper and sit that's how it is and that's not how this hotel was never so I'm not going to sit here and lie on this page yes it fancy now but who cares about that without the physic fair it's boring and when it was the physic fair it was the only thing keeping it from not being boring and when ur rich attire snobbish attitude like ur better then everyone else gets u no where very upseting

Attended an event in the ballroom. Hotel is under renovation by some shoddy workmen. The staff was not nice upon entering the lobby. It was if we were not welcome to be there. We're debating on staying the night but after talking to others at t...
he event who were staying there we were glad we didn't. Observed the owner/manager woman having a not so nice conversation with a man in the front drive area over the event being held. Overall I had high hopes but will never return here. Buyer beware

This was the worst place I’ve ever been. The prices went up 100 percent since last year. All the beautiful flowers, sceneries and parking was gone. The rooms are peeling paint, rust in sink and no tv or fridge in room anymore. Over 200.00 a nig...
ht was outrageous. There were holes in walls and you could see outside. The food was just a few selections with a very high price. I have never felt so disgusted and dirty. I realize it’s old and love the nostalgia but they ruined it. It is not the ritzy place they think it is. It’s an old haunted motel. You should have kept it that way. One last thing, the new owners are not people or pet friendly. I am handicapped and was expected to walk up a large flight of steps to enter the building. I wasn’t allowed to enter thru the front entrance. Save your money people, not worth anything anymore. Not fun anymore…
