The most beautiful and perfect venue for our 1920's "Gatsby"- themed wedding this August. Staff was extremely helpful day of, and the food was DIVINE!
AMAZING! The Hotel de Luxe made our wedding weekend absolutely wonderful! They took care of everything, and even sent me some bubbly to calm my nerves. The food was great, the staff and the coordinators! HIGHLY recommended!
The Hotel Deluxe and Guru Ram Dass Sikh Community Temple housed a great traditional Indian Sikh Wedding. We had the Shagun and Mehendi Henna Ceremony there. Following to the Guru Ram Dass Sikh Community Temple where the Laavan Phere took place. Here are some sample photos by RobProPhoto Portland Oregon Wedding Photographer to give you an idea: http://www.robprophoto.com/archives/weddings/traditional-sikh-wedding/
The lobby and hotel are very nice.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. It was NICE, but not spectacular or better than any other 3 star hotel I'd been in before. A little dated to be honest.
I prefer a good courtyard any day.
We had the King Deluxe room for 2 nights. My maid of honor and I had a blast! She was there for the first night, before the wedding day, so she could help me get ready in the morning. The food was excellent and very easy to order.
The staff were all so friendly! They had the room set up for us on the night of the wedding for my husband and I, very personal touches left for us, including a bottle of wine, a card signed by all staff members and hand-written message, local chocolate and fresh orchids, all waiting for us when we arrived.
The bed was the best, most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! But don't underestimate the cost of comfort, the pillow I wanted my husband to buy (jokingly) was $175! So don't try to sneak one out! :)
The hotel also has endless photographic possibilities. We had so many amazing pictures from the hotel, both inside and out. Our photographer was able to use as many aspects that were unique to the hotel to her advantage and we were tremendously happy with the results.
I love this hotel! So retro and it was perfect for our wedding. The staff at the hotel was awesome, they helped all my girls get their things up to the room and was always looking to do more. The best part about the hotel is the vintage Driftwood Room, you feel like your back in the 50s/60s. Their rooms are amazing, loved them, so comfortable!! Can't wait ti stay there again soon!
My now husband fell in love with this hotel when we walked in the lobby. It fit the 50's theme perfectly! And they were great working with our Jewish dietary restrictions and staying in our budget. While we went thru 3 catering managers, our event notes didn't get lost and they knew exactly what we wanted. The rooms are amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We can't wait to go back.
I loved everything about our stay at Hotel deLuxe. I already plan to stay there again and again. It was perfect.
Lizzie and the Hotel deLuxe/Gracie's staff were incredibly helpful and gracious throughout our wedding. They went above and beyond our expectations in both big and small details (from catering to the valets). To me, Hotel deLuxe/Gracie's was the height of class and professionalism, while still being warm and accommodating. My husband and I are both incredibly glad to have chosen them as our venue and caterer.
beautiful place and they were very accomodating. They really helped to make our wedding weekend special for us
We used the hotel deluxe for the guest accomodations as well as the rehearsal dinner space. It is beautiful and has a great ambiance. At the dinner, everyone had an amazing time and the food was superb. It was also a pretty good value for being downtown and on the MAX line. I imagine we will go there again over the years for anniversaries.
My main reason for choosing this hotel was that it is absolutely beautiful! The restaurant is everything you could want for an upscale & elegant reception place! The food was great and everyone had a blast! However, in dealing with some of the event staff I just got a bad vibe from them, like each time I emailed/called to ask a question (I didn't do this that much) that I felt as though I was interrupting them or inconveniencing them. Maybe I just rubbed them the wrong way, but I feel that since I was spending a huge amount of money that they could have been more welcoming. However, the desk staff and bellhops were extremely nice!
Also, it seems that in the wedding industry that most vendors try and squeeze you for every dime you have! This hotel was no exception... a fee for this, a fee for that, and fee for having fees, etc. It was just discouraging and more than a little frustrating.
If I had to go back and do it again I would look for a different venue. Even though it was beautiful, they just didn't impress me.
Hotel deLuxe treated my husband and I to the most amazing wedding. They comped our drinks the first night we stayed there. They treated our guests with a 15% discount on their rooms. They were so organized and so supportive on the Big Day that I didn't have a worry at all. Lizzie was extremely helpful with advice on how to order the food and what food best fit what we needed. When the Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom were unable to cut the wedding cake, they stepped in and cut pieces very quickly, at no extra charge. Our honeymoon suite was amazing and big and exemplified the Old Hollywood feel that we were looking for. We will visit the hotel again. I would highly recommend this hotel for any weddigng.
For our wedding weekend we used the Hotel deLuxe and they did a fabulous job! Everyone from out of town stayed there and loved their experience. I got to stay for Friday and Saturday night and felt completely taken care of. On the wedding day the photographer was able to use all the little hallways and stairwells in and the gorgeous lobby to take some amazing pictures to add to our urban classic feel. We also had our Sunday brunch for the remaining out of town guests in the Screening Room at the hotel and the food was delicious! This hotel was the perfect back drop for anyone looking for an old school urban chic wedding!
My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon, and it is so beautiful. Far enough from right downtown to not have all the traffic noise, but close enough to walk everywhere you could want to.
My bridesmaids and I spent the night at Hotel DeLuxe and had a FANTASTIC time. The rooms were beautiful and clean.
