About this vendor
Inspired by the union of old and new worlds, Ocho at Hotel Havana offers two unique spaces for breakfast, lunch, drinks and small plates on the River Walk in San Antonio. Ocho upstairs, situated in a glass and steel conservatory reminiscent of a birdcage, opens onto the river and offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The beauty of the steel structure is highlighted in Tiffany blue, with couches and lounge seating filling one side of the luminous space and linen-clothed tables spilling into the courtyard. The downstairs lounge provides a dimly candlelit gathering place with velvet couches and antique leather club chairs suited for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was the perfect location! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Would highly recommend it!
We are getting married in San Antonio in October and have reservations at the Hotel Havana because we love the hotel and are looking forward to taking photos there. I had hoped to block rooms but the process was a bit perplexing. We were given quotes for rates higher than what we could book them for on the website. I inquired about this since the three other hotels we received quotes from gave us discounted rates. The response from Havana was that since we were looking to occupy such a large portion of the hotel we would need to pay higher rates. We decided to forgo the block contract as we could reserve the rooms we needed at a much lower rate. I just messaged my guests and told them to reserve immediately and they could always cancel the week prior to the wedding if they decided to stay elsewhere. Great hotel and space but questionable business practices.
Hotel Havana will hold such a special place in our hearts! Tressa went above and beyond to help turn my wedding vision in to a reality. We held our ceremony in the Breezeway and our small reception in La Sala. The hotel is the perfect backdrop for a dreamy and romantic wedding. The food was AMAZING. Every guest raved about dinner all night, and they accommodated us with kid friendly options for our smaller guests. Our waiter was also great! He kept our drinks full, and never missed a beat. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the grand suite and it was just as perfect as the rest of our weekend. I cant recommend Hotel Havana enough for couples looking for a laid back and romantic venue.
Vince coordinated everything with the hotel staff to make sure it all went smoothly. The staff all seem very laid back, which can be worrisome if you’re type A like me! But it turned out to be exactly what I needed. Everything ran perfectly, and we got so many compliments about our unique and fun venue. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
The staff went above and beyond to accomodate our Thanksgiving day wedding. However, the night hotel clerk's actions resulted in our move to a different hotel the next day.
