nto the food & beverage cost per person - we found their packages to be much more favorable to venues that only do weddings - we got some nice perks for signing our contract, like a spa credit and free night in our hotel room - the head chef was extremely accommodating and flexible, basically created a custom food package for us - the hotel rooms are very unique and are extremely reasonable for an autograph collection - Regina is excellent to work with and was on top of everything - the ballroom has a unique layout and style that you couldn't get elsewhere

thing we asked for and beyond. She was in all our wedding planning meetings at the venue and communicated with everyone to make sure we all were on the same page. The food was great and they were able to accommodate our needs. Gilberto was Superman. He did whatever it took to make things happen for us and make our day special. If I had to be picky and pick a con about the night, it was the AC. Not sure if it was all the candles we had or the number of people but it was a bit warm during our ceremony and reception. Other than that it was still a perfect experience. With the location of it being in the heart of Downtown Houston and great staff, you can not go wrong with celebrating your wedding day at Hotel Icon.

It was like being in a family member's living room - warm and inviting - however grandiose it actually was. I also enjoyed the Hospitality Suite as a perfect place for me & my bridesmaids to meet up for breakfast on the big day. The hotel shuttle was also a great way for my guests to get to the rehearsal dinner that was just around the corner. Thank you Hazel & your team, you did an excellent job & we appreciate you making our big day weekend such a dream.

but modern theme of the hotel with a Texas flare to it. Everything was top notch at this hotel. From the building itself and the decorum, to the food, rooms, and staff. Mike, the event coordinator at Hotel Icon, is simply wonderful! He was such a huge help throughout the wedding planning process and on the day itself. He checked in with me frequently to go over things and to just see how we were doing with our planning. We will not forget his hospitality. He truly cared about making sure that we had the wedding of our dreams at Hotel Icon, and we did just that and then some! We had our reception in the Aventine Ballroom and cocktail hour in the stunning foyer outside of the ballroom. The ballroom and entire floor is gorgeous and sets the tone for an elegant and intimate celebration. We had around 120 guests and the room was the perfect size! I was a little worried about how the space would be with the room nearing capacity, but it was just right! I've been to weddings where the reception was held in a giant ballroom and found that you lose sight of the bride and groom in such a big space. The ballroom at Hotel Icon was wonderful and held our guests comfortably while keeping people from feeling lost or out of touch from the events that took place throughout the night. I also found that our guests were more eager to dance on a more intimate dance floor where it did not feel like you were out in the open, yet there was plenty of space. Let me tell you, we had almost all of our guests on the dance floor, too, and it was perfect! The staff was warm and welcoming and the service was impeccable. Our wedding took place in October of 2015, and our family and friends can't stop ranting and raving about how amazing our wedding was. I think we all felt like royalty that night. The food was so delicious! Of course with it being our wedding, my husband and I did not get to eat as much as we normally would have, but we had multiple guests tell us that the steak that we chose to serve, was the best steak they had eaten! We had many guests stay at the hotel, most from out of state, and they went on and on about how they so enjoyed their stay at Hotel Icon. I think it's an especially fun hotel to have out of town guests come to, because it showcases our Texas pride just enough to stand out to guests and resonate to native Texans, while not being an overwhelming theme. The hotel graciously offered a beautiful junior suite for my husband and I to stay in the night of our wedding, which was a lovely and kind bonus. We ordered breakfast to our room the following morning, which I have yet to have Huevos Rancheros that beats there's, and likely won't be able to! Everything was truly spectacular. With that being said, don't waste your time looking for an amazing venue any longer, it is at Hotel Icon! My husband and I would like to send a sincere thank you to the staff of Hotel Icon, particularly Mike, because of you guys, we truly had an Iconic wedding that we will cherish our memories from for the rest of our lives.

ions big time! I had all the bridesmaids there the day of the wedding getting ready and they were so helpful making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We also told them that we had an early reception (ended at 10:30) and that everyone was planning on coming to the hotel after for drinks, and they were 100% prepared when we arrived with 20+ people to the hotel bar. Also, the next morning me (the bride) and my husband received a complimentary breakfast buffet (which was a godsend after the night before and before we left for our honeymoon). It's a bit pricey compared to other hotels, but you cannot beat the beautiful hotel and its outstanding staff.
