Hotel Paradox, Autograph Collection

Hotel Paradox, Autograph Collection is a wedding venue located in Santa Cruz, CA. This minimal and modern hotel offers couples plenty of choices when it comes to hosting wedding-related events. As a seaside city, Santa Cruz blends an urban buzz with beautiful beaches and scenic views. This combination results in a relaxed yet refined backdrop that is ideal for a special occasion. Hotel Paradox fuses urban sophistication with rural elements, reflecting its location between redwood forests and city lights. These contradictory aspects echo the hotel’s name, as city and countryside features collide in a perfect paradox. The hotel has an air of contemporary cool. The minimal design, along with distinctive architecture, provides an ideal backdrop for your wedding photographs. There are hints of industrial chic, too, as neon lights displaying the hotel’s name hang on cement square walls. This pared-back quality is echoed indoors. Oranges, creams, and charcoal grays make up the color scheme, all of which combine to create a calming yet trendy atmosphere. Redwood bark features on the walls, in seating arrangements, and on bookshelves. The desired effect is to remind guests of the local woodlands. The pool deck is complete with a bar and firepit lounge area. The colors at this location pay tribute to the California landscape. Azure and turquoise blues mirror the sky and ocean, and cappuccino browns echo the sandy beaches. Finally, flashes of burnt orange in the furnishings reflect the blazing sun. The local area has a range of attractions for guests and newlyweds alike to explore during their stay. Nature fans will enjoy the Ano Nuevo State Park, which is home to northern elephant seals. The Natural Bridges State Park provides peaceful oceanic vistas and bird-watching opportunities. For culture and history enthusiasts, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk are must-see spots. This location has a capacity for up to 480 guests, with a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces available. You can choose to host a poolside party with round tables peppered along the deck or a more intimate affair on the Solaire Breezeway veranda. The Sequoia Ballroom is a classic reception area and is the largest indoor events space at this hotel. Guests can avail of boutique rooms and deluxe suites that are in keeping with the luxurious and lean design of the venue as a whole. Here, redwood is once again incorporated into the furniture and wall designs to create a tranquil ambiance. The in-house event coordinators will aim to realize your wedding vision, from design and decor to rentals and planning the finer details. Couples can customize their menus with the in-house chefs. The cooks pride themselves on cooking with locally sourced ingredients, and they aim to use sustainable methods in the kitchen. At Hotel Paradox, the only contradiction will be the desire to make this holiday hotel your home.
