and there are outdoor spaces with fire pits as well. It is within walking distance from everything in central Ventura.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hotel San Buena! It was my first time to Ventura and I was excited that the hotel is so centrally located. The beach and so many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores are within walking distance. I barely had to ...
use my car. The fresh cookies, coffee, and tea offered in the morning are so good and they also have food and drinks for purchase at their lobby bar! My room was on one of the front corners (lower level) and it was so quiet. One highlight (of many) was riding one of their complimentary bikes to the beach for sunset and another was how friendly the staff were. I'll definitely be back!

ms in the main historic area and in full transparency I read in the description that it was old and sound carries. I fully expected to hear some people in the lobby or maybe some steps. I didn't expect it to sound like a bowling alley was on the top floor. I didn't expect it to sound like they parked a running garbage truck outside our window all night, paired with sounding like an airplane taking off every hour or so. It was so impossible to sleep, at 1:30AM we considered just leaving and driving the 1.5hrs back home. It was terrible - be warned. These rooms go for upwards of $450 a night!
