Elena and the staff at the Tabard Inn were fantastic. Elena was an excellent communicator, responded to emails promptly, and kept the planning process as simple as possible for us.
The venue was absolutely perfect for our 60 guests. The patio ...was rustic and gorgeous for the ceremony, and they included little details that I didn't even notice until we got the photos, including putting little planters at the ends of the seating rows and little lanterns at the front rows.
The banquet rooms were beautifully lit. In the green/pink room, the tables were expertly set. They included little table card stands and were very accommodating for my folks to set up centerpieces, escort cards, etc.
Having a separate room (the red room) for the DJ, bar, and dancing was really nice as the green/pink room became a cooler place to rest while everyone danced the night away in the red room.
The food was excellent, with most of our guests commenting on it being the best "wedding food" they'd ever had. Our menu included the Statler chicken breast, Ribeye steak, both with whipped potatoes and vegetables, and vegetarian pasta primavera; everyone loved their dishes, including us. (Elena even set up a complimentary tasting for us a few weeks before the wedding so we could finalize our selections.)
We stayed at the inn on Friday and Saturday nights (the wedding was Saturday). The inn rooms were rustic, very Victorian with modern bathrooms, and the room we were in (room 3), was beautifully appointed, and had ample room for the bridal party to prepare.
My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about the Tabard Inn, and would highly recommend it to couples looking for an intimate, personal venue, and the restaurant (which does the "catering" is second to none, and we're looking forward to going back for brunch in the near future.
