f Clarendon's cake! House of Clarendon's cake was moist and delicious, not to mention gorgeous! I knew that I wanted them to bake my wedding cake. Luckily, they were still available for my wedding date. I scheduled a tasting, and worked with Martine to design my cake. Many of their cakes are quite elaborate in design, and I wanted something much more simple. Martine worked with me to design something that was simple in design, but still beautiful. The finished cake looked wonderful, and tasted just as delicious!

I had originally wanted as part of the design didn't come out the way we wanted, he had another idea that looked even better!! We also had a layer of fresh flowers to make the cake appear taller, which was a great idea of his. He also includes a top layer on your anniversary so that you get fresh cakes. I had such a great time planning with Martine and our cake was a beautiful centerpiece to our wedding. I would recommend to anyone!!!

prices are high is because each cake is a work of art. Martine is an artist and takes extreme pride in his work. The cakes are absolutely gorgeous. Martine is wonderful to work with. He is very charismatic and can offer incredible suggestions. He is knowledgeable and prompt at getting back to you. The cake was a hit at the wedding. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was and it tasted great too. It was not your average boring, dry wedding cake. We didn't have any left because so many people went back for seconds. I am glad I got my cake here and would recommend it to others.

We used House of Clarendon for cupcakes for both of the bridal showers and were thrilled with the results. We found Martine to be professional, responsive and creative in the extreme. Best of all, you get to take any leftover cake home with you. By the end of our meeting, we had signed on the dotted line. The cakes looked perfect and tasted great, and our guests loved that there were different flavors, since if they didn't like the flavor they were originally given, they could switch with someone at their table. A couple of my bridesmaids asked for some of our leftover cake to take home with them. The leftovers held up very well, too. We can't wait to get our anniversary cake from them. The cakes are a little expensive, but they are the perfect combination of looks and taste, so we did not regret it for one minute. Martine is also very helpful if you're not sure about other wedding vendors, since he runs Dream Weddings PA. One thing about this listing is that HoC did change locations, and I think even the contract has the old address, so if you book, when you go to send the final payment, double-check that you're mailing it to the correct place!

guys where ties of the same color but varying patterns which we did and it turned out great. He also had a hand in our final choice of wedding colors. He didn't care for my initial choices and wasn't afraid to tell me...lol! We ended up going with his suggestions and are so glad we did. The wedding was amazing! The cake was amazing too!! It was so gorgeous and it tasted incredible too. Lots of the guests complimented on how good it was. I like that we get a free cake baked for us on our 1st anniversary rather than freezing the top tier. Martine was always very friendly on the occasions where I had to talk with him and he genuinely enjoys what he does. We felt, however, that the cake was incredibly expensive (over $1200). The design was incredible, the visual appearance was incredible, the taste was incredible, and the service was incredible, but still it seemed to be an awful lot of money to spend on cake!! But if you have it in your budget to spend that kind of money then you will be thrilled with Martine's work. The cake was definitely top notch and he was great to work with.

LAUGHED at me and said "are you even engaged yet? You dont even have the venue or date set." I told him i was in fact engaged and the EXACT date was August 24th, 2013. I just wasnt sure about the venue yet but i was looking around for prices of cakes while i looked at venues. His cakes weren't too bad for pricing, but a little on the expensive side.. but they are beautiful!

found out that my venue didn't cover the whole cost of the cake. By the time I left there I was paying a couple hundred dollars for the cake that included $75 for a piece of plastic to add a tier for flowers(also had to pay my florist for the flowers) & a delievery fee. We were upset about it, but I was still excited about the cake. They did call a few weeks before the wedding to make sure that they had a count for the guests. The cake was going to cover 75 & over 100 guests were coming, they had a "filler cake" for the rest. On the wedding day, it was concerning that an hour before the ceremony the cake wasn't there yet. But when it finally arrived it was beautiful but was very small & didn't help that they had it on a large table. Some guests actually thought it was a decoration & not our real wedding cake. My husband said it was so sweet that he almost got sick after we fed each other cake. I never got a chance to eat a piece of cake at the wedding, the venue sent home one slice of each of the four flavors of cake. I was excited to finally get to have a peice of pink champagne, when I took a bite it really wasn't worth the wait. I was upset that guests didn't say anything about the cake, later a few people said it was too sweet. Unfortunately the cake wasn't all that we expected especially for paying extra. Overall we were disappointed in the wedding cake. They do make you a fresh cake for your one year anniversary, we hope that cake will be better.

The grooms cakes were designed by Tanya - 1 being modeled after Las Vegas/Gambling and 1 being modeled after the 4 Philly sports teams for my sports fanatic husband. They turned out awesome and everyone at rehearsal was extremely impressed by the designs as well as how good the cake was. We were extremely happy with how all of the cakes turned out and cannot thank the House of Clarendon enough - everything was perfect!!

Not only are the flavors and textures of these cakes to die for, the presentation and exterior of all of the cakes Martine and the House of Clarendon make are works of art. They will work with you to design any sort of icing and design on the cake, and can make towering or subtle cakes look amazing. You will love the finished product of Martine's work, and you will love every step of the process of working with him and his staff - including the taste testing session! Enjoy!

so really work with you regarding your budget and how to make it fit yours. The wedding cake itself however did not come out as we expected. We had asked for elegant stripes to go down the cake and they ended up being large organic zebra stripes. We also had a monogram on our cake that was not how I pictured it. We did an initial sketch at our visit but maybe we should have had an additional visit closer to the wedding to go over those details. Overall the cake was delicious and it arrived on time so I would definately recommend this vendor, just be specific with what you want and make an additional visit or ask for an updated rendering.

We didn't have pictures of a cake we liked but instead brought design motifs, patterns, and color swatches and we worked together to design our cake. In no time Martine had drawn a sketch and it was wonderful! We had such a great time and complete trust in Martine's abilities. Then there was a multitude of flavors and fillings to choose from! The handmade sugar flowers on the cake were stunning! People thought they were real. Absolutely gorgeous! They also made a great keepsake! House of Clarendon may be a little expensive for some but it is worth every penny! It's been just over six months and guests still rave about the cake. A traditional cake was the best decision over cupcakes.
