My husband and I met with them for our engagement photos, it was an awesome experience! They taught us how to pose, made us laugh, and we just had an awesome day with them. The photos were returned to us in great time and there were SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM! The wedding day was the same! e ridiculous photos with fog machines and wrestling belts, since that was a big thing for my husband. They laughed and went along with all of our craziness. Not only are the photos incredible, but Shanna made me super comfortable, eased all my concerns, and made sure I had nothing to worry about. There was a moment when I felt everything was going wrong, and I would miss some photos, but she reassured me that they would be flexible and still capture everything I wanted. She was like my personal calming coach for the day! She also made me feel even more like a princess than I already felt, which I didn't think was possible. We first met them on the day of our engagement shoot. Mike (my hubs) was not exactly looking forward to the shoot… he was expecting an awkward session with two strangers placing us in awkward positions. To his surprise, our experience was the complete opposite! Shanna and Mike were so friendly and instantly made us feel comfortable – from talking about our wedding to our shared Amazon shopping problems… they felt like instant friends! When we saw the engagement photos – we were in love! The wedding was no different – it was great having Shanna with the bridal party and Mike with the groomsmen. They captured some awesome moments of the two groups getting ready & helped to keep on us track for our schedule. We decided to do a “first look” and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE those images. I mean I honestly love them all, but I am super happy we did the first look! We had a fairly large wedding party & had a few large family pictures that were requested – Shanna was AWESOME at making sure everyone was gathered and posed quickly AND everyone was actually smiling, eyes opened! Throughout the whole day & night, Shanna & Mike captured SO MANY incredible moments and emotions. We actually had a wedding guest come up to us and say, “Your photographers are awesome, they are everywhere! Every time I turn around they are there.” Watching the slideshow of images on my TV was like reliving our big day all over again. So, so, so many emotions – THANK YOU HOLP, Shanna & Mike, you two are the best… NOW to come up with an excuse for another photoshoot! 😉 PS- the fact that HOLP gives you rights to download/print all images is amazing & just another reason for you to book them- DO IT!

rewedding planning, I found them to be immediate friends. But extremely talented, professional and experienced friends!! Everyone has different taste and a different style, but if magical, artistic, nuanced, personal and documentary is your thing - you won’t be disappointed. I’ve trusted them with my wedding photos, boudoir photos and maternity photos and have never been disappointed. They’re timely and prepared. They knew when to disappear and capture moments and when to organize and take charge to get the photos we’d requested. My only complaint is I wish they could have hung out as guests longer 😉 They were a pleasure to spend the best day of my life with and left me with photos I will cherish forever.

is just how amazing these two are as people. It felt like we had two more friends at our wedding celebrating with us. On the day of our wedding, we were faced with torrential rains, making our outdoor pictures impossible to get- and they both calmly adapted to our new indoor setting, reassured us that everything would be great, and DELIVERED with their gorgeous photos. In addition to this, they have such an effortless way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and making you genuinely smile and laugh rather than feeling awkward. I can't say enough about these two, but I can promise that if you choose them to share your day with, it won't be a decision you regret. We wish we could get married all over just so we could hang out with Shanna and Mike again!

the beach and on rocks with a broken foot to capture unforgettable photos! Every time there was a moment I hoped was being captured, Shanna and Mike were already there. We just received our photos and felt like we got to relive all of the magical moments of our day. My husband and I trusted them completely and are so happy with how they worked their magic!

Having Shanna and Mike there was like having another set of best friends at the wedding. The photos were amazing!!! No matter how a bridesmaid felt about hair, makeup, dress etc, she made us all look phenomenal. As a hair salon owner I've recommended HOLP to many of my brides without a second thought. I just always warn everyone that they will walk away with a great relationship with this couple. Their work speaks for itself. From day one she answered my entire crazy requests, never shot down any of my ideas, and was ready to rock and roll with whatever I threw at her. (I am a bit of a control freak). Our engagement photos were at Harkness Park in CT. The Lubold’s met us and let’s just say we became friends instantly. Our personalities clicked. I felt a mirror image to Shanna – big personality, loud, and funny. While her husband is similar to my husband, a little quiet, go with the flow, and surprises you with their funny comments. Our engagement photos were so fun and spontaneous! I could not wait for the wedding to work with them again. I booked a Boudoir session for a surprise to my husband. No one makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin then Shanna. With a little Beyoncé and her singing and dancing, I got right into the groove. As the wedding came, I was nervous of it being in October and making sure I got enough photos before sunset. Shanna and Mike you really out did yourselves. To the details of getting ready, our first look, ceremony, and capturing the sweat happening on the dance floor. The Lubold’s become part of your bridal party and really know how to join fun and still work professional. You guys did not miss a step or beat and I have the most beautiful memories because of you both. Mike and I are so happy we met you both and have become true friends. made our wedding day feel stress-free. Mike was a pro at fixing a broken boutinneire/flower thing and Shanna sewed up my bustle when it broke! We were nervous after booking them and reading a bad review, but Shanna and Mike took the time to meet with us, go over our plan and reassure me that everything was going to be perfect. They were right and my wedding images speak for themselves. I have never, IN MY LIFE, seen pictures like mine. They tell a story, they look right off the pages of a magazine, the were from start to finish perfect. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to book them. They're talented. They're so very in love. They're Mr. and Mrs. MacGuyver. Not that I want to get married again, because it was stressful, but I'd love for everyone I know to use HOLP because seriously they are the best.

are they crazy talented but they are the best to work with! They make you feel super relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and they are so much fun! They do a great job capturing lots of pictures in a timely manner so you can still enjoy cocktail hour with your guests. One of the huge benefits to having this husband/wife duo photograph your wedding, is the fact that Shanna can get pictures of the ladies getting ready while Mike can get pictures of the men! loved that! I didnt give them any specific shots or poses I wanted because I fully trust their skills, and was NOT disappointed! My pictures came out so beautiful, I cant even count how many people told me they were some of the best they'd seen, magazine material even! Every time I see other wedding pictures from other photographers, I cant help but think that Im SO happy to have gone with HOLP, because while other photographers are good and all...they aren't nearly as good as Shanna and Mike!!

and showcased the sunlight and soft colors at our spring wedding; HOLP was just want we were searching for. We wanted a blend of traditional photography with some modern photojournalism, and our photos were exactly that. HOLP was within our price range and it was such a bonus to have two photographers to capture our day. Shanna and Mike instantly made us feel comfortable and and were so easy to work with! Before our wedding day they ran through the schedule of the day for us so we could be sure they took the photos that we definitely wanted; but they were also creative the day of taking advantage of unexpectedly beautiful shots! We had a Catholic ceremony and they were very respectful of our priest and church; they also were remarkably efficient getting the family portraits that we wanted of our very large and loud family! We are so in love with our photos and can't stop looking at them. The captured so many moments that we never saw ourselves. We feel so lucky to have worked with such fun, professional, and genuine people. We highly recommend HOLP!!

nd 2 photographers, and they make everything super easy with being able to fill out your questionnaires online and pay online, which just makes things EASY! My husband and I probably had a slight advantage since they also shot my brother in law's wedding last year, so we got to see how they worked before our wedding which was more of an added bonus for us! Shanna & Mike are true professionals and I really wasn't worried about a thing. They showed up early on the wedding day and were on schedule the entire night. Every special request for a photo that we had was taken which I was so happy about. We also got through the family photos quickly which was great because my husband has a very large family so it was great to get through those formalities so they could enjoy cocktail hour! Shanna & Mike are really great to work with- they make you feel like family and have the best personality, so we felt really comfortable the whole time while posing etc. I got my photos back exactly a month after our wedding date which was awesome! We definitely received a ton (over 1000) images back so I am very happy there are so many great options we have for framing/gifting/putting in albums. I loved seeing all the detail shots and seeing the creativity there, as well as the more traditional family shots (which I might add- not a single squint or non-smile in all 20+ of us!!) Overall they are a very fun couple that made us feel so comfortable the entire time. We had so many people that came up to us saying how great they were! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good mix of photos that are a great combination of traditional, creative, and artsy.

nd and HOLP seemed the perfect balance of bright, artistic images at a competitive cost. Even better, they are a team so our chances for amazing images doubled. While Shanna and Mike are nice people – this review is for their photographs and unfortunately they fell flat. It’s no secret that Shanna and Mike are new photographers - this comes out in their photos – they really struggled with using light, framing images and capturing emotion. I cried when we received our batch of images. My family saw them and said they were ok- and I’m sure they were being polite. A coworker said that she heard the wedding was so much fun, but the photos didn’t seem to reflect that – that hurt too. You trust a wedding photographer with capturing your special day and when that trust is broken it is heartbreaking. I was truly baffled about some of the photo choices. For example, the photos of my bridesmaids and mothers getting ready were not flattering- bad angles, dim lighting. There is not one great photo of my dress – the images are dull, borderline dark, framed really strangely. It seems Shanna struggled with using inside lighting and how to position the dress. We also requested many images of our guests and their emotions. While we received many images of guests, they are often of people making strange faces, awkwardly posing, etc. In another instance, our guests were playing bocce on the lawn. Shanna and Mike did not get a wide image of the game, instead they took individual photos of a couple people in the game (basically, they completely missed the idea of an establishing shot). The cake photo- forget it. We don’t have a nice one. I feel like their approach to event photography is snapping tons of photos and hoping some work. I would have preferred a professional eye that curated a story with beautiful and emotional imagery. Another problem was with the formal portraits. When I spoke with Shanna and Mike, they told me that they even make formal family photos more interesting- they don’t just have everyone stand in the same spot and rotate family members in and out. Well, that’s exactly what they did! We have many photos of different family members on the same set of steps (or on one space in front of a bush) with every photo taken at the exact same angle. All very boring. My favorite photo of the entire day was when we came off from the steps and we personally requested a shot from a different angle. It looked so much better! Shanna and Mike didn’t really bring people out of their shells or create a special moment– this is important skill they are still developing. (Note: they did have our wedding party jump in the air - cheesy, not creative.) We wrote an email to Shanna and Mike expressing what is said here and showing examples of images “advertised” on their website and what was delivered. They re-edited a set of photos of our choosing and put them into a book. We actually gave them iPhone images from our friends' personal phones to incorporate because these amateur photos were just better. If you hire HOLP for your wedding there will be no issue of quantity- the issue will be quality. You will be leaving your images to chance. In hindsight I would have paid more for an experienced photographer and avoided disappointment.

ould not imagine having anyone else to capture our day. They have such a wonderful way of making you feel at ease in front of the camera that it wasn't awkward at all. Even down to the most simple things, we could count of them. For example, Mike was there to come grab my husband's collar stays that he had forgotten from my room down the hall. While Shanna was there to calm my pre-bridal jitters. We weren't the only ones who noticed just how great this wonderful duo is. We got compliments at the wedding and afterwards from many guests about our photographers. Lastly, because I could gush all day, they both have an artistic eye for the perfect shot. We cannot wait to see how our pictures came out! The House of Lubold Photography come highly recommended!

They had a beautiful portfolio but more importantly they made us feel comfortable instantly. The best way to describe them is the dynamic duo. Miss Shanna was outgoing and bubbly and someone I knew I wanted there on my wedding day. Mike was more laid back a little soft spoken which was a perfect fit because my husband has never been a fan of cameras in his face. Through the whole planning process She was very responsive and a few times just checked In and asked how the planning was going. On the wedding day thet were nothing short of amazing.I never realized exactly how important a wedding photographer was until the day after my wedding when everything was a blur. As soon as Shanna started posting pictures I instantly remembered that moment and everything about it. House of Lubold has given us hundreds of amazing images with memories that will last a lifetime.I will always recommend them and would definitely hire them again even if it was just to hang out :) Needless to say these two are super talented and genuine, nice people.

I set up an appointment, and with-in the first five minutes into it, I knew Shanna & Mike had to be our photographers. We did our engagement session, and had so much fun. Shanna and Mike are so patient and guide you with poses to ensure you the greatest pics. They made us feel so comfortable, it was as if we had known them for years.
