Great price for everything you get. Lynn was great to work with. The atmosphere and scenery is breathtaking, and was perfect for our small scale wedding. There was a back up plan for the weather which came in handy
Unique, gorgeous setting. The large coral rocks on the beach make for perfect splashing wave photos and the water is almost always the perfect turquoise shade. The museum venue is old-fashioned- rustic romantic and has so many places for fun pictures. It’s a unique combo of old-fashioned rustic and tropical. The venue was great to work with but keep in mind that they aren’t paid venue-type staff but museum workers and it’s an active museum. So, depending on the type of wedding you want, you may want professional help in some areas where other venues might have certain roles already covered. My wedding was very small and simple and it was the perfect location. I recommend it to anyone!
My husband and I rented the House of Refuge for a small wedding ceremony with thoughts of setting up on the beach. However, we changed things a little bit and ended up having the ceremony on the main patio of the museum and loved the way everything turned out! We set up so our guests faced the ocean and the view was amazing! I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!

Amazing, gorgeous, wonderful! I can't believe how beautiful my wedding turned out at such an affordable price. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond expectations. We fell in love with this place at our first visit.
Hands down the most beautiful spot in Stuart to exchange vows. Lynn, who runs the HOR is wonderful and a joy to work with.
Excellent staff, happy to help, wonderful site!
