House of Venus Boudoir is a luxury New Orleans, LA, boudoir photography experience specializing in beautifully directed, confidence-building pre-wedding sessions for brides and women who want to celebrate themselves exactly as they are. I’m Kimberly, the photographer behind House of Venus, and I’ve specialized in boudoir photography since 2009. You may also recognize my work from my former brand, Dirty Girl Boudoir. After more than 17 years behind the camera, I still personally photograph every session. When you book House of Venus, you always know who will be photographing you. My philosophy is simple: you do not need to know how to pose, be a certain size, or consider yourself “photogenic” to have incredible photographs. That’s my job. I specialize in posing, lighting, and expression, and I guide you from head to toe throughout your entire session. I’ll tell you exactly what to do with your hands, where to look, how to position your body and even help coach your expressions. Most of my clients arrive telling me they’re nervous or have never done anything like this before—and that is completely normal. For brides, boudoir is an unforgettable way to celebrate the woman behind the wedding plans. Your images can become a beautiful, intimate wedding-day gift for your partner, but the experience itself is just as much a gift to you.
