Austin is our home base, but our story is shaped by years of global adventure; from raising our two daughters across the globe to living in Seoul for nearly a decade, soaking up tea culture in London, and sourcing directly in Japan. Through it all, tea captured my American heart. Howdy Matcha was born out of that long-held passion, bringing authentic Japanese green tea traditions into a vibrant, modern light. With years of experience as an educator and business owner, I approach every wedding with meticulous organization, clear communication, and an eye for beautiful presentation. I adore visual design, fine details, and celebrations — which makes collaborating with couples the most rewarding aspect of what we do. My favorite part of the process is styling consultation. With 15 single cultivars and blends to choose from (plus our roasted hojicha), I love helping couples curate the perfect pairing — matching our tin artwork and colorways to your florals, linens, and reception aesthetic so your favors look stunning on the table and taste extraordinary in the cup. We can't wait to help you share a meaningful, memorable ritual with the people you cherish most!
