I would highly recommend Heather and her team! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and so did my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law! My makeup stayed even with the happy tears a...
nd dancing on the dancefloor. I do not usually wear a lot of makeup and she was able to find a level of makeup that I felt comfortable with and felt like I still looked like me. I received lots of compliments on my hair which also held up well! Heather and her team were on time and made the getting ready process even more fun!
Heather from Hues by Heather is a breath of fresh air! She made me feel gorgeous for my wedding day. She was easy to communicate with via email and phone call. She was flexible wit...
h creating the best package for me and my bridal party, seriously, she took some stress away from me, the bride and my maid of honor who was helping with the booking, by making a unique package for us.
She came to my house for my make up trail and was more than willing to make my look customized to how I wanted it! When it came to the wedding day she remembered the small changes I wanted to make. She did everything to make me and my bridal party feel like the "it girls" that day. She's fun, easy going and funny! Who doesn't want someone like that on their team?!
Yes, the make up stayed put all day!
I recommend Heather Hughes not only because of her eye for beauty but also for her calming presence that every bride needs on her wedding day.
I hired her after watching her work ...
another wedding. The wedding was more upscale and higher profile than mine but
after witnessing her calming influence on the bride (amidst the unfortunate drama unfolding around us) I knew that I needed her touch on my wedding day. After locking in the date, my greatest concern was working within my more conservative budget and more simplistic, conservative style (I
don't wear much makeup). Heather reassured me on both accounts and on my wedding day, stayed true. My pictures look amazing and even four years after the wedding, my friends still comment on how wonderful my makeup looked.
Most importantly, Heather helped me stay centered and
calm...without having to say a word.
She was a dream to work with and every bit as gifted. I'm privileged to be one of her brides."
Heather and her team are fantastic! I couldn't be more happy with my hair and makeup. They know how to work with your natural style without making you look fake on your special d...
ay. Super sweet girls and very stress free since they come to you!
Heather and Ray did an absolutely beautiful job on the hair and makeup for my daughter and her wedding party. Everyone looked flawless, and we were all thrilled with the results. ...
Heather is so sweet and intuitive. At one point, a group of my daughter's friends showed up unexpectedly in the hotel suite while she was having her makeup done. My daughter didn't say a word, but Heather could tell she was feeling a little faint and overwhelmed. Heather quickly took my daughter into another room and went downstairs to buy her a bagel. Heather and Ray are gifted artists and very professional; however, they are also funny and personable. We felt as if they were dear family friends. I recommend them highly.
I met Heather at the Austin Bridal Expo. I was really concerned with having my hair/make up done, because the style I wanted was pretty complicated and I had never had air brushed ...
make up before! However, her team came in and made my mother and I absolutely stunning on my wedding day! Nothing I asked for seemed to be too daunting at all, and people were complimenting me all night on how flawless my hair and make up looked! One of my favorite things, as silly as this my sound, was that they gave me a "touch up bag" for the rest of the day/evening! It really came in handy and allowed me to dance the night away and know I would still be able to look amazing because I had all the little bits and pieces to touch up, should anything fall out of place! Highly recommend them if you are looking for a stylist/make up artist in the Austin Area!
If you book them request Ray! He was a dream to work with. He made it so fun the day of and before my bridals. Everyone at the wedding raved about how pretty we all looked. All of ...

ALY THEY JUST SQUEEZED ME IN AND HIRED OTHER MAKE UP ARTIST FROM ANOTHER COMPANY TO DO MY FLOWERE GIRLS HAIR. ONE OF THE MAKE UP ARTIST WALKED WAY WHEN SHE WAS HALF WAY DONE WITH MY SISTER AND SAID THAT SHE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO DO HER HAIR. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.
Devin transformed me into the beautiful bride of my dreams! She was FUN, professional and did my make up EXACTLY like I wanted. I got TONS of compliments!!
Pam was the person who did my hair and makeup, and I couldn't have been happier! She was so nice and talented I wasn't worried at all! The makeup turned out exactly how I wanted ...
it and she had some great ideas for my hair.
Heather did my bridesmaids' hair and they all loved it! They are so fast and come out to your locations! The makeup is expensive, but definitely worth the all night wear!
when i was trying to decide who to go with for my hair and makeup, i looked through my friends' wedding albums. there were two of my friends whose makeup i liked the best - when i...
asked them who they had gone with, they BOTH said heather. i was sold. she is super professional and experienced. she put on just enough so that i looked natural in pictures, and not overdone in real life. she went with what she knew i would like. my husband doesn't even like when i wear makeup, but even he liked my makeup for our wedding! would definitely strongly recommend her!

ere very professional and fun to work with. We began makeup and hair for myself and my bridesmaids and mothers around 10am for my 5:30pm ceremony. The makeup and hair stayed up all night-- I never even had to powder! I received compliments all night and even after the wedding when people saw the pictures. I would definitely recommend Heather and her team to anyone!!
Heather made me look like a princess on my wedding day. She used high quality makeup that lasted all night, even with my very oily skin. I highly recommend splurging on airbrush ...

My bridesmaids also had their makeup done, and they looked gorgeous.
