The Hulls Cove Schoolhouse, an historic structure built in 1909, is located in Hulls Cove. Mount Desert Island is a resort area with Acadia National Park being the principal attraction.Historic schoolhouse is now a community center available for events such as wedding receptions, banquets, dances, suppers, meetings, etc.The Schoolhouse is available from May through October for dances, community suppers, wedding receptions (for wedding related services in Bar Harbor see Web For Weddings}, and various group meetings subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Due to fire code regulations all events are limited to 150 persons or less. No smoking is allowed in or around the building. Alcoholic beverages may be served, but not sold, at events.

The booking process was straightforward, and we were even able to tour the venue ahead of time, which helped us feel confident in our decision. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. had the best wedding ever in part because my venue was so clean and beautiful. The minimal decorations my sister carefully added and planned only added to the beauty of the structure but in all honestly it didn’t need much. It was well worth the money (which wasn’t very much compared to other venues!) and the planning to rent/provide decor and desired benches.
