Hummingbird Nest

We looked at nearly 20 venues in the Southern California area and Hummingbird Nest Ranch stood out from all of the others. Both sides were beautiful and we got married on the Sitting Bull side. Our ceremony was at the Olive Grove, cocktail hour was at the Cobblestone area and the reception was on the Peppertree Lawn. We really liked that there were three distinct areas for each segment of the wedding which we looked for in a venue. Our guests and vendors raved about how beautiful the location was. The location was “site only” which was fine with us as that offered us flexibility for our vendors and theme we were going for. Note, as of May 2021, if you want to go through outside companies for catering or rentals, you have to pay a buyout fee, which we ended up doing for catering. Also, you are required to use their winery, preferred security and valet company, which were fine to work with. Additionally, Hummingbird was the most flexible site we found in terms of restrictions and guidelines (sparkler send-off, noise curfew, drone footage, etc.). Overall, Hummingbird was a stunning site to have our wedding at. The couple drawbacks were on the day of the wedding, there were multiple mice in the bridal suite and also where our vendors at their meals. Also, the bridal suite is older/outdated. Overall, the venue was beautiful, functional and felt like we were in our own private space for our wedding/event. We would recommend Hummingbird to others without hesitation!

Expensive but so worth this. This venue is everything !

We just got married at Hummingbird Nest Ranch about 2 weeks ago and couldn't have been more pleased. We used all 3 outdoor spaces at the Villa for each part of our wedding. The venue itself is inherently beautiful and our guests were blown away by it. You don't really have to add that much in way of decorations since it's already so gorgeous. We had a sunset/evening wedding, which i would recommend for the summer in Simi Valley given the heat. The lighting at that time of the day around the Villa was amazing. Michelle manages the venue and all her recommendations for vendors were spot on. We also used her, along with her assistant Nicole, as our wedding coordinators. They were amazing- kept things flowing, made adjustments as needed and really completely eliminated the usual day-of wedding stress for my now husband and me. It was an incredibly day and we've received so many compliments from our guests. Highly recommend Hummingbird Nest Ranch.

I fell in love with the venue from just the photos online and then when I finally saw it (the day before my wedding) I cried from happiness.
