ly emailed back and forth with Kenneth 100 times. He is a 5 star General and Events Manager - so patient with us, answering all our questions, and filling our requests. The setting was perfect, the staff set up and tore down the entire space for our event, and they were incredibly attentive, kind, and professional throughout. Our guests raved about the food, the hummingbird cake, and the setting along the Potomac river. The location was incredibly convenient for us and our guests - many who stayed upstairs in Hotel Indigo or nearby, walking distance, and everyone enjoyed the charm of visiting Old Town, Alexandria. Our wedding was such a special day, and while there are a lot of reasons for that - we are so happy that it happened at Hummingbird. Thank you, Kenneth, to you and your staff for making it happen.

s. He worked with us to tailor our food and drink menus, and he really took our preferences into consideration. The food was spectacular and the drinks were amazing. The space itself is also beautiful, and even with a cloudy day, we had a great view of the river.
The evening also went seamlessly - we can't thank them enough. Highly recommend.

rts (with ~150 people). We highly recommend! Kenneth and his team are really awesome and knew what they were doing; they are clearly experienced. Wedding planning can be a stressful time, and we had a larger party, but the Hummingbird was one vendor we did not have to worry about, and Kenneth did a fantastic job working with us to execute our vision and answering our questions. Importantly, the food was also amazing, and we got a lot of compliments from the guests. (Same for the drinks.) It's a great space, located within Hotel Indigo (where some guests were staying) and generally a great location on the waterfront. Again, we can't say enough great things about the Hummingbird!

Our party was composed of 50 guests and we can't say enough good things about our experience. The dinner was one of the highlights of the entire weekend. The staff did a wonderful job managing such a large group and they were very professional in how they chilled and served our personal wine (w/ corkage fee). Perhaps the most difficult part of serving such a large group is the speed of getting the food served and the condition of the food when it arrives. The food was stellar (it received many compliments) and it was all warm when placed. Really a tough feat, but they pulled it off wonderfully. As with all things wedding, communication is very important, and again, they was also very good there. All of our questions were answered promptly. We highly recommend!
