Hungry Horse Restaurant and Catering

I could not recommend hungry horse enough! We got married at the Sisterdale Dancehall and Opera House, which is super close to Boerne. We were at a loss for who to use as a caterer (we were from out of town) and when we went out to the area to take care of some other wedding errands, our venue coordinator called James and told him we were coming by to try their food. When we got there, we were loaded down with a table full of food (literally like 6 entrees) all on the house. The food was so stinkin good that we decided to book them immediately. We went with chicken and chicken fried steak for the wedding and it was wonderful! We have received so many compliments from people about how good the food was. On the wedding day, they were so professional and served our buffet line super fast. They also stuck around and bused the tables for us, served the cake for an additional (small) fee, and packaged all the left overs up so when our family was picking up that night, it was already good to go. I cannot say enough good things about Hungry Horse! You should totally hire them for your wedding!

Honestly, there is not enough room to write how amazing Steve and Sarah are at Hungry Horse. They were there helping me every step of the way. I would say I'm pretty picky, especially when it comes to food, and they were very patient, helpful, and gracious through out. They even gave me two tastings!! Honest tastings too, exactly how the food would taste at the wedding after being stored for a little bit. The food was amazing and my guests kept complimenting it, even my Chef Brother-in-law had great things to say about the food. I appreciate practical creativity, and that is how I would describe them. So if you want great, home-cooking with a custom flair, Hungry Horse is your choice. No question about it!

Hungry Horse catered our wedding and the food turned out great! We had so many compliments on the dinner. Steve was so nice to work with, he truly cares about his clients and will go above and beyond to make the day perfect.

We decided to go with Hungry Horse super last minute. Like 2 months prior to the wedding (maybe even sooner) and Steve was totally ok with it and made everything work. The food was delish and he made adjustments as we requested and everyone after the wedding keeps going on and on how good the food was!

I grew up eating at the Hungry Horse Restaurant so it was the perfect fit for my wedding. Steve, the owner or Hungry Horse was willing to work within my budget to help me get the perfect meal for our wedding. He was very easy to reach, and was always helpful, respectful, and kind to me, my fiance, and my mom. I would highly recommend working with the Hungry Horse!
