Hunter Henkel is the main photographer at Hunter Henkel Photography, a wedding photography service based in Richmond, VA for over a decade. Hunter received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Film, from Virginia Commonwealth University while working at the local daily newspaper and as a freelance photographer. Her work has been published in a variety of magazines, news services and books. Her fine art education and experience documenting real-world events, allows her to easily collaborate with a variety of couples on finding their wedding style be it a light and airy outdoor garden wedding, a dark and moody winter elopement or a photojournalistic experience capturing natural colors and mostly candid moments. Her wedding photography services include elopements, minimonies, micro, sequel and small weddings. From tiny chapels to outdoor ceremonies and backyard celebrations, Hunter enjoys collaborating with couples to help fulfill their photography version of their wedding day. Two photographers and digital negatives are standard in most of her collections. Currently, Hunter works exclusively in the City of Richmond and most of the surrounding counties.
