I loved my family's stay here this past week. Our room was clean, comfortable and ready when we arrived. The hotel lobby was super clean and smelled amazing. Everyone I met at the front desk during our stay was extremely nice and helpful. The...
property is beautiful and located close to everything. On our first night we discovered a family of bunnies living near the deck and pool and enjoyed checking for them each evening. The pool was clean and they had towels available. I did wish that they would have cleaned the spiderwebs from the outdoor seating so we could have enjoyed those more. The breakfast was pretty good and kids eat for free.

This Hyatt in Jacksonville was a great pitstop for us on our southward journey from Charlotte.
The prices were reasonable, the check-in was smooth, parking was free, and the breakfast was okayish. We thought the breakfast could be better, but ...
I guess you get similar quality of breakfast in other similarly priced hotels, so nothing in particular to complain about. The corridor smelled a bit strange but it wasn’t a major hassle for us, since the room itself was pretty great with a good view of the water. Breakfast is served downstairs every morning.
Overall, this was a comfortable stay for a night, and I’ll definitely consider this property for my future stays if I’m in the Jacksonville area. I’m glad they’ve a free dedicated parking space just for the hotel guests.

A little outdated for the price, I paid around $170 a night and felt that the amenities did not match hotels in a similar price range. The hotel is located next to a loud cigar bar with music carrying up to the higher floors. Staff were nice, b...
ut this hotel could use some TLC. The lobby looks nice, but upon further inspection, the cushions have stains, scuff marks, and other signs of wear and tear. The back patio area that looks over the lake is decent but that’s about it. This hotel would be great if it got a few updates!

Summary: this will be my last stay at a Hyatt due to a trend of Poor communication and lack of follow-through
I had high hopes for my stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, several issues made the experience disappointing. Before arriving, I c...
alled ahead and also noted on my reservation that we would need a crib in the room. Despite this, there was no crib provided when we checked in, which was frustrating with a small child in tow. Later during our stay, the air conditioning in our room failed and the temperature rose to 85 degrees. After calling the front desk, maintenance was sent up, but the lead technician informed me that it couldn’t be repaired and issued me a key to a new room.
Because I was running late for an event, I didn’t have time to check the new room and left right after receiving the key. When I returned a few hours later, I discovered that the new room was already occupied and my key wouldn’t work. It was only at that point that the staff informed me that the AC in my original room had been fixed. The situation was confusing, inconvenient, and avoidable with better communication. While I appreciated the efforts of the maintenance staff, the overall handling left a lot to be desired.

I arrived to check-in at 11pm after a long day of traveling. I was advised the hotels system was down and I should come back with no eta for checking in. This version of the hotel staff was pleasant because I knew he was having a stressful day...
. I come from the hospitality industry so I can relate. I come back to check in around 2 hours later and met with the same person. He’s asking for my credit card in the same sentence I’m asking for a break down of fees. I’m aware I was charged for one night since the grace period of cancellation has passed. I’m also aware a deposit needs to be made for check-in. This individual was irrate and had zero customer service once I asked questions about my bill. I was never frustrated until the law was called on me. He proceeded to tell me he made more money than me. I was intoxicated (which was a lie) I sat in a near by cigar lounge while waiting for their systems to work. I waited on law enforcement and continued to defend myself while my reservation was being cancelled for a question never answered. This happened on 12/19 (check-in) 12/20 actually. Im expecting something should be done about the lack of training and patience not required to hire staff. I chose this hotel because of the high ratings. I am in disbelief you could hire such an individual who speaks and treats customers so poorly. Like I explained to law enforcement everyone has a bad day but the manner I spoken to and treated someone needs to be have accountability.
