Hyeholde Restaurant

We had our wedding reception at the Hyeholde Round Room last month, and it was absolutely beautiful! The look and feel of the grounds and the Round Room at Hyeholde are perfect for an intimate wedding (we had 85 people). The venue was perfect for our smaller wedding reception. The space is gorgeous and we were pretty much free to do whatever we wanted to in terms of decorations. You really don’t need many decorations though, because the space is so naturally beautiful. The staff also let us come in on the night before the wedding to make sure everything was set up how we wanted it to be. The food is DELICIOUS, the bar and dinner service was good, and the beautiful atmosphere speaks for itself. Matthew and Jennifer were both very helpful and answered all of my questions throughout the planning process. Matthew, Jennifer and the Hyeholde team were spectacular. If you are looking to host a small/medium size wedding in a venue with tons of natural character, there is no better location than Hyeholde. From the first moment that my husband and I saw Hyeholde we could not imagine having our wedding ceremony and reception anywhere else. The staff was courteous, thorough and helpful, especially on the rehearsal and wedding days. The food was absolutely delicious. We received many compliments from guests. We look forward to celebrating many anniversaries and special occasions at Hyeholde.

My husband and I recently held our reception here. We had first visited the restaurant on a surprise date my husband didn't tell me about! I immediately fell in love with Hyeholde as soon as we turned in the driveway. You feel like you've entered another world and stepped back in time to a beautiful English castle. They were incredibly kind, prompt and helpful in all of their communications. Every step of the way was a breeze and the actual result was just stunning. The venue was unbelievably gorgeous, the food was some of the best we've ever eaten and the staff was so kind and helpful. We almost couldn't believe it was real. They made our day feel like the most wonderful fairytale. Thank you so much for making it so special.

The Hyeholde was so accommodating with wedding planning! Matthew was easy to work with, fast to respond, and met with us any time we needed! We were able to go in and set things up the day before the wedding, and they had all of the guest tables set up and ready to go, which was nice to get a preview before the reception. The food is amazing, and the service was excellent. Our wedding was small, only 60 guests, and the size was just right in the round room. We are so happy with the way everything turned out!

Such a beautiful place... We decided to have our wedding here before even visiting, as we live out of state. Could not have been more pleased! I thought the prices were very affordable (we paid about $85 per person - we chose the buffet option). There are so many different options on where to have your ceremony, as well as many picture spots. My one piece of advice for couples planning a wedding here would be to ask Matthew for opinions. He has worked at the Hyeholde for quite a long time and has held countless events.. He's full of ideas and great opinions, but he doesn't always voice them. If you need any advice - ASK HIM! Matthew was so accommodating for every request. I just can't give him high enough praise!

I had my wedding yesterday on 1-15-2017., and we chose to have our reception at this restaurant. Matthew, the Banquet Manager, is so nice and organized. He made sure the reception went according to plan. He was also very accommodating with last-minute changes. We had to change our guest list two days before the wedding due to cancellations, and we had to change two meals to vegetarian. Matthew was very happy to make the last-minute changes. The place is beautiful for pictures! The restaurant has a British Renaissance look inside and outside, so it was like a fairy tale wedding. Lastly, the food was fantastic! The guests told me the vegetarian meal was wonderful, and you never expect it to be good. Thank you Hyeholde Restaurant!

No need to pay a wedding coordinator when you have your reception at the Hyeholde! Matthew is just exceptional. He patiently answered all of my questions and emails quickly and completely. We dropped off all of our place cards, cookies, cake toppers, etc. two days before the wedding and never looked back. We even did an individual cake as centerpieces for each table and they were arranged perfectly with bud vases and votives. Honestly, the room was so beautiful, we really didn't need much decoration anyway. We had 100 guests, and the room felt full, warm, romantic and intimate. And did I mention the food? Amazing! If you appreciate good food like we do, this is the place. From the appetizers to the sorbet course, our guests couldn't have been happier. The spiced filet and sea bass were just excellent. We are perhaps the only bride and groom I know who remember eating at the reception! Five stars, well earned.

Great choice!!! We had our ceremony planned for the courtyard outside the round room and had to change plans about an hour prior to the ceremony due to weather. The staff was extremely cooperative and everything was ready to go when our guests started to arrive. The entire staff was gracious and available and ready to handle whatever needed to be done. Matthew anticipated our every need and created a perfect evening for our guests. The food was excellent and several of our guests wanted to know how we found the location. I would highly recommend the Hyeholde.

The Hydehold Restaurant did an amazing job. Matthew was so easy to work with and everything was perfect. We received so many complements on the food and decor which was perfect. Highly recommend using for any event!

We had our wedding ceremony in the small garden next to the Round Room, and had our reception in the Round Room. We had a small wedding, around 32 people total. The space is perfect for a small and intimate wedding. The two of us had no plan going in, and they were helpful throughout the process letting us know what we had to do and when we had to do it by. They were able to accommodate all of our changes, even those at the last minute. Everything was handled in house, including the setup, food details, and desert. The pricing was very easy to access, which made it very easy to plan for. They gave updating cost estimates as we made changes, and were very responsive to all communications. They were flexible with the start and finish times, allowing us to get there early to get ready and stay a little late working on packing up our vehicle. Matthew, who is the events coordinator, was very responsive and very receptive to all of our questions and needs. He really helped to make sure everything was going smoothly and according to plan so we did not have to worry and could focus on the big day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would recommend the Hyeholde to anyone who asks us about our experience.

The Hyeholde was amazing!! So much better than we ever could have ever dreamed possible! We had our wedding ceremony in their field and the reception in the Round Room. Matthew, the banquet coordinator, was incredible. I cannot speak more highly of him. He was there every step of the way answering every one of my millions of questions. He was even there helping set up/partially build the arbor my Dad made for us for the ceremony! Because of our rough, long winter, the field was still a little muddy and didn't have grass in spots, but no need to worry, the Hyeholde was out there laying sod and planting flowers so the field would be perfect for our ceremony. The wedding day was absolutely perfect. He kept everything running so smooth, we didn't have to worry about a thing. I knew everything was in good hands when Matthew was in charge. The staff there is AMAZING! They were constantly searching my husband and me out asking us if we needed anything and all of our guests kept saying "I didn't even need to go to the bar, as soon as I finished my drink, they were bringing another one over to me, it was great!". They were all so friendly and personable too. The food was mouthwateringly good as to be expected. I didn't even have to ask if our guests enjoyed their meal because all of their plates were completely scraped clean! Our wedding day was flawless and it had a ton to do with the staff at the Hyeholde. For weeks after our wedding, people were still raving about the Hyeholde and all of their staff. I highly recommend using them for any future events you may have!!

We had our wedding in their Roundroom facilities there. Beautiful space! We had about 100 guests which is how much the room can accommodate. All our questions were promptly answered and we got rave reviews about the food and service there!

The Hyeholde was a prefect place to get married! Matthew was a great help. I did most of the planning myself and would just email him my ideas. I was a little bit nervous the week of the wedding as I have never really discussed my vision with him outside of my emails. I has nothing to be worried about. He knew what I wanted and pulled it off without a hitch! I had an outdoor garden ceremony (which was pulled off with a DARK sky which was RUMBLING with thunder the whole time), but Matthew knew I wanted the outdoor wedding so he said if worst comes to worst "RUN at the 1st sight of rain". He knew it meant a lot to me to have it outside so even though the weather was a little more than iffy he okay'd it. The reception was AMAZING. We received SO MANY complements on the space. We had about 80 guests and it was just right. It made the dining area look full but not too crowded and the dance floor was just the right size. People loved that it had an intimate, rustic, romantic feel. It was unique, not your typical ball room. The Hyeholde was also our supplier of the food (which everyone raved about how delicious it was). We also used MeeMee, the in-house baker for our cake. Our cake was excellent, and MeeMee did exactly what I wanted. Overall it was a dream come true.

We were so pleased with our rehearsal dinner. The food was excellent and our guests were able to choose from four entree options. The building and grounds were beautiful and we have a lot of lovely pictures from the evening!

Matthew at the Hyeholde had everything under control all day. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere relaxed. Also, our photographers fully utilized the outdoor spots for wonderful pictures. A great experience.

We used Hyeholde for our September 2010 wedding ceremony and reception. They were the only place we visited and the only place we wanted. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Matthew, who manages the Round Room, answered any question thrown at him promptly, calmly, and completely. Never once did he try to “sell” us anything; actually he spoke up if he thought we were overdoing the amount of food. He and his staff were on top of every detail we could think of and many we couldn’t. After the ceremony he was there with snacks and water. The food was delicious. We went a buffet of pasta primavera, green beans, minted baby zucchini, smashed Yukon potatoes, prime rib, and grilled chicken marsala. We received so many compliments. Everyone loved the food, ate plenty, and there was still leftovers (which tasted great). The outdoor location is lovely. We were outdoors and it was perfect; plenty of room for all of us, but still intimate. The round room itself is also beautiful-a roughly oval room with half the area windows overlooking a nice little “yard.” It’s perfect as is, so you can get away with very little decoration, but it won’t overpower if you want to go elaborate. The “yard” was popular during the reception when people wanted to take a break from dancing and get a little air. And Hyeholde is a fantastic value. Please please don’t be intimated by the food or pictures-it’s incredibly affordable. We scrimped a bit on things other than Hyeholde, but our entire wedding (including Hyeholde, photographer, dress, etc.) was still under $7,000 for 62 people. And of that Hyeholde provided ceremony location, ceremony seating, reception location, food, tables, utensils, and Matthew as the day of coordinator. They even took care of “bathroom baskets.” If you go to their website, everything is listed so you can see right away if it will work for you and your budget. I cannot recommend Hyeholde highly enough for couples who want a unique, intimate location that will respond politely to every request and take care of practically every detail-which is actually every couple I’ve ever met planning a wedding.

I had a very small intimate wedding and everything was held at the Hyeholde. I can not say enough wonderful things about them. The service was outstanding. They treated us like we were royalty. Children included. The food was beyond delicious. The drinks flowed all night just as I asked. They catered to my every detail and beyond. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wanted to host their wedding in an elegant intimate fashion. It was the most wonderful happy day of my life!

We booked our wedding at Hyeholde and were extremely happy with everything. The setting is gorgeous and the food was great. Matthew, the banquet director was always available for questions and he never had a problem with me stopping by to check out the seating arrangements or bring my centerpieces to see how they would look on the tables. He was very helpful and on the ball with everything. He made sure that we followed the timeline of the day and didn't miss anything. The guests were very impressed with the service of the staff and Matthew. We had a beautiful day on 10.10.10 at Hyeholde. The weather was 80 degrees and we had a Sunday brunch. The staff made sure that I had everything I needed and even parked my car for me and made sure that everything went smoothly. Amy, who was my personal assistant for the day made sure my dress never touched the ground outside during pictures and even took care of my cousin's children who were in the wedding. With all the months of planning and stress, The Hyeholde staff all worked together to make our day magical. I would highly reccommend this venue to anyone.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful for an intimate Christmas Wedding.

I loved the atmosphere that the Hyeholde provided. The service was very detailed and I felt like they wanted to please us the best they could.;The only negative thing about the Hyeholde was that the regular restroom was up a set of stairs and that could be a problem if a number of your guests are elderly. (There is one handicap restroom in the Round Room.)

The space was beautiful and intimate and the manager was very attentive and it seemed like he was always a step ahead of us. The food was excellent and the servers were gracious.

The service was impeccable, the food was incredible, and the backdrop for pictures was fabulous. The planning process was meticulous with every detail captured - led to everything running very smoothly. They were very accommodating - our reception was to end by 9pm, but they let us go on until 10pm. They were flexible and even offered to run our music for us (which we created on CDs ourselves instead of hiring a DJ) at specific intervals. The personnel was great - quick to serve our guests, and always with a smile.;I can't think of anything as they run the place like clockwork...have every detail accounted for from beginning to end. Their event planner (Jeffrey) is top notch.
