DJ Hype is best known for hyping up events and creating an atmosphere where guests are drawn to the dance floor. We offer most music genres, including country, international, oldies, latin, hip-hop, jazz, and pop. Couples can also have R&B/soul, rock, and top 40 tunes for their lively wedding reception or party. Hype Entertainment also provides a do-not-play list, emcee services, and video projection. We have quality equipment ranging from LED wireless up-lighting and monogram lighting to intelligent lighting, a sound/PA system (w/generator) for beach ceremonies and remote locations, and microphones....including lapel microphones. Hype Entertainment’s equipment will compliment couples’ wedding reception, as it looks brand new. Other entertainment services provided include:

He made our night so special with his enthusiasm and energy and we could not be any more satisfied. We have had so many of our friends & family tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and how they “hadn’t danced that much since college”, and that’s all a tribute to how great DJ Hype was. In addition, he fully set up the microphone and speakers for our ceremony (we battled 20mph winds on the beach and the sound came out great), mc’d our wedding reception, and gave great introductions to the best man/maid of honor before their speeches. One of the biggest compliments we can give is that although we met him for the first time on our wedding day, it felt like we had one of our best friends as our DJ for the night. He absolutely brought the energy, but he is also very sweet, thoughtful, friendly and caring. He truly gave us one of the best nights of our lives and we could not be more grateful.

The music, transitions, announcements, and overall flow of the evening were seamless. Marcus kept the energy up all night and somehow always knew the perfect song to play next. Our dance floor stayed full, and so many of our guests told us afterward how much fun they had because of the music and atmosphere he created.
One of my favorite moments of the night was when Marcus let me get behind the DJ booth for a bit, which made the experience even more fun and memorable. It’s little moments like that that show how much he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone to have an amazing time.
Beyond being an amazing DJ, Marcus brought such a fun and calming presence to the day. We never had to worry about anything because he had everything under control, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment of our reception.

Not too mention we got a download of ALL the photo booth images too! The photo booth attendant (his wife) was also great, helping guests with the process and keeping things running smoothly.

We had a smaller wedding, but even with our crowd DJ Hype did a great job getting everyone on the dance floor. He even showed our guest how to do different group/line dances so everyone felt comfortable to join in!

dding! Marcus laid everything out very nicely for us to pick what songs we wanted and when we wanted them. The final review meeting was awesome as he went through everything with us with a fine tooth comb and made sure we considered everything properly so we could be happy as could be with everything! Enter our big day! Marcus arrived early, got us all mic'd up and taken care of, he's a super personable guy and had me laughing, feeling cared for, and relaxed. Once he was set up he was layering everything out perfectly, everything was right on cue and sounded great. When we got to the reception time, he had the tunes cranking and we were having a great time! One other thing I love is that he'll get out on the dancefloor and throw down with everyone! Truly a great experience from start to finish with DJ Hype, you definitely will NOT be disappointed, and you may feel like it's all too good to be true.. but he's the real deal!!

Marcus and Melissa are extremely reliable, easy to talk to, and attentive to detail to make sure your ceremony/reception are everything you dreamed it would be. Their professionalism is top tier and they treat you as if you were their closest family members. Marcus truly goes above and beyond to keep the dance floor grooving all night long; he’ll even be out there tearing it up on the dance floor with you! The photo booth that Melissa provided for our special day was beautiful and my wife and I now have countless memories of our closest friends and family we can always look back and reminisce on for the rest of our lives together. Another thing my wife and I really appreciated from Hype entertainment was the music package Marcus has built up over his career. It can be hard to pick out what music you want to have for your special day, but this package gives you a great head start one what’s usually received well at weddings/receptions and let’s you sprinkle in your favorite jams you’ve been listening to since you were little. To anyone in VA/NC areas looking for the PREMIER entertainment package for their special day, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t have Marcus and Melissa bringing the HYPE to one of the best days our your lives.
