H.Y.P.E. Productions

We hired H.Y.P.E. Productions for our DJ and photo booth for our wedding. After communicating with Jazmine a couple times I knew HYPE was the company for me- and they really knkocked it out of the park! The music element is so crucial and I was so happy with what was delivered. Our MC Jess was honestly the best MC I've ever seen and she was so much fun and really got the crowd on their feet! She came in with such great energy and I am so happy she was part of our big day. Our DJ was also amazing, he was super flexible with the music choices when we wanted to switch from dance music to some traditional songs that the family requested. I told them I just want you to feel the crowd out and keep playing music and he did just that! We danced all night long and it was the truly the best day ever. The photo booth was also perfect and exactly what we wanted! The attendent was fun and helped the guests get in, get out, and get back on the dance floor. If you're reading this and in need of a DJ - hired H.Y.P.E.!! You will not be disappointed!

DO NOT HIRE HYPE- there were three HUGE issues that occurred during our wedding!!! Originally, we were very excited to work with HYPE productions since we had been to two weddings that used this vendor in the past! We let the owner know about these significant issues and she had no sympathy and did nearly nothing to resolve the situation. If you only care about the music they are great, but if you want things to go smoothly in all aspects of the wedding then we do not recommend HYPE. 1) The mic at the ceremony did not work: This caused issues during the most important part of the wedding, and it caused a lot of distraction and stress to the officiant and the bride/groom. The DJ and emcee should have stepped in to fix the issue right away. 2) Instructions were not followed for specific wedding moments: There were two moments of the wedding where we had provided clear instructions for what needed to occur (in the walkthrough and itinerary) and those instructions were not followed for an important picture moment and for our first bite of dessert together (they forget to make sure the bride was there). 3) Mics did not work during speeches: Similar to the ceremony, the microphone was going in and out during some of the speeches. This is another pivotal moment of the wedding that was interrupted due to technical issues that should not have occurred.

HYPE Productions is as good as it gets for wedding entertainment and production. This isn't your "average" DJ service. We booked them for our wedding at Loft21, and they did not disappoint. They don't just play generic music from a playlist, they create a fun environment and entertain everyone at the party. Chris, our DJ made sure music was playing all night long and was able to seamlessly mix in some non-traditional songs that we requested ahead of time.

We hired Jamaal and Kozi specifically as we went to another wedding they were MCing. They were absolutely amazing and got the entire wedding up and dancing early in the night. They were even participating and showing guests how to do certain dances like Cupid shuffle. They brought so much energy and were dancing behind the music the entire night!! I can’t wait until we can use them for another event soon!!!
