We had a diverse mix of playlists across multiple genres, and Nick and his team took the time to meet with us, understand our vision, and curate the perfect soundtrack for every moment of the night. Our guests could NOT STOP dancing! It was truly a party from beginning to end. We cannot thank Nick and his team enough. We would highly recommend them over and over for any event.

did feel like they preferred to discuss details with my fiancé (now husband), even though I was planning it, and he wasn't aware of all of the details- which was the only thing that set me back somewhat. On the wedding day, everything went perfectly with the ceremony music, even down to starting songs at precise timings to match the procession. We hired their saxophonist for dinner, and it was absolutely magical listening to Lana Del Rey on the sax under the lights. My favorite part of the evening!! Nick, DJ/owner, and their drummer did an outstanding job—our small wedding group loved the dance floor vibe they created. Hype Rhythm truly met our expectations, and I’m so glad we chose them!

g we knew he was the right person - so easy going, asked us all the right questions, really making sure the wedding music would fit us and our taste. We had a need for a combination of Spanish and English music for our guests and it was absolutely flawless- Nick knows how to balance the right mix of music, taking into consideration all of your music suggestions, upbeat songs, oldies, etc. The dance floor was literally never empty the entire night. And Chris- don't even get me started, our guests were floored by the drummer's performance he was outstanding! It is such a unique duo, with having a DJ but also that "live performance" feel. We got so many compliments from all of our guests on how amazing the dance reception was due to both of them! every detail necessary ahead of the wedding day. On the day of, everything went so smoothly-- we didn't have to worry about a thing! A friend of mine sang a live song and my husband's aunt did a live performance as well. Both of them said the guys were awesome and super easy to communicate with. Every generation was represented on the dance floor and it remained packed all evening. Multiple guests who attended have reached out to me saying they were really impressed and had the time of their lives dancing the night away. The drummer Chris was a huge hit-- him and Nick really brought the energy to 110%. I can't praise them enough and highly recommend their services!

re. The dance floor was always poppin, and everyone could not stop talking about how much fun they had and how impressed they were. Multiple people had said "this was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding" or, "I usually never dance at weddings but they had me on the dance floor!" It was the best night of my life and it wouldn't have been the same without them. A full wedding band wasn't in the budget, but I wanted more than just a DJ, and honestly, they were even better than a full band because they aren't limited with the songs they can do. The sound they provided for the ceremony was perfect and never had any hiccups, and they perfectly mc'ed all parts of the evening. I would hire them again and again. THANK YOU!

. I don’t regret our choice a single bit. First of all, Hype Rhythm gives the most incredible blend of DJ with a live feel. The drummer brought SO much energy to the dance floor, I could not imagine what it would’ve been like without him. Secondly, Nick made the song choice process so easy and executed on our requests perfectly. We had quite a handful of special songs we wanted to play and he made sure to get them all in while still expressing his own creativity and feel for the vibe. Lastly, they brought the freaking party. We had a NON-STOP 2 hour rager on the dance floor because of them. I got SO many compliments from older folks and my college friends alike on how fun they were and how much they loved the song choices. One of my all time favorite memories of the night was when I looked over and the drummer was banging his fist on the wall he was going so hard. Immediately, my husband ran over and was jamming face to face with him - it was so hype and so special. I could not recommend them more!

The performance by Nick and drummer Chris was extremely hype (Chris is beastly on the drum kit.) Keep in mind this is all in context of Nick injuring his leg - he still showed up and nailed it. OCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!!!! I had a smaller guest count (50ish) and was so worried about how much fun everyone was going to have. You would NEVER know there was only 50 guests, EVERYONE was on the dance floor all night and could not stop raving about the music/drummer the next day! It was also such a unique experience having a live drummer with the DJ and it was the best decision hiring them as my team! Nick also understood the importance of getting the sound perfect during the ceremony, cocktail hour and for all of our private dances and there wasn't a single hiccup! He is experienced and a perfectionist and it is much appreciated by this perfectionist!! Look no further for your dream DJ team!!!!!!

1. Hype Rhythm worked with us every step of the way and DJ Nick helped make our day awesome! He played great music, kept people on their feet dancing, and kept the atmosphere live and the party moving! Our guests raved about his DJing all evening and even after the wedding. and all my guests kept telling me what a great DJ he was throughout the night. My mother-in-law even asked him if he could come to our house for the after party and keep playing music lol! Nick was so professional from start to finish - asked all the right questions (even the one's I didn't think about bc I didn't have a wedding planner), he checked in every once in a while leading up to the big day, he greeted me with open arms the day of the wedding and was constantly checking if everything was going okay throughout the night. I definitely didn't expect that out of a DJ but that goes to show much Nick loves his job and how much professionalism means to him. I think Nick does a great job of tailoring the music to the crowd that he sees on the dance floor and I love that! Hiring Nick was money very well spent so just go ahead and book him - you won't regret it!

better. Having Chris, the drummer, play along side Nick made it sound like every song was live and full of life. The best beat. Nick was an incredible MC and he knew exactly what to say, play and when to do it all. My wedding had the best outcome thanks to these 2 professionals. Nick did a great job with the music and sound system for the ceremony also. Clear and loud. Perfect for the outside setup. Their website was so easy to use and fun to investigate music. Loved the uplighting he provided and the dance floor lighting looked amazing. Nick and Chris were the best addition to our wedding. I highly recommend choosing them to take care of all your music needs. I also hired Andrew their videographer. Andrew was so great about listening to what we wanted. Look forward to a great video. Hype Rhythm DJ is the best DJ around. Hire them. Let them do their thing. You will be so thrilled with your outcome.

Weddings in the time of COVID are always going to be tough, and Nick worked with us on making sure everyone was being safe—wearing masks and maintaining appropriate distance—for the safety of guests, vendors, and all. Hype Rhythm was an incredible addition and inseparable part of our wedding. We worked with them for both the ceremony itself and the reception; everything was seamless. We absolutely loved working with them (and the online client interface for setting a song selection and wedding timeline is EXCELLENT). Book them, you will have an insanely great time!

local spot & we had been sold since! We had always said from that day, if we ever get married, they would HAVE to be our entertainment. As soon as we were engaged, I called nick to get their availability as I refused to book a venue on a date Hype Rhythm didn’t have available, so in essence, we picked our wedding date based on Hype Rhythms schedule, and that says a lot :) Needless to say, Nick & Chris did NOT disappoint. Our wedding was on 9/5/20 & they absolutely killed it. From start to finish, a flawless performance. From Nick being our MC the entire wedding, mixing 10 different intro songs for my wedding party, to keeping the dance floor packed all night, we knew we made the right choice having them there with us on our special day. Nick has such a great vibe, easy to talk to, and of course, knows how to keep the party moving. Chris kills it on the drums, you HAVE to have the drummer there as well, you and your guests will not be disappointed. We have guests still raving about our drummer and his spin and the sound he adds to ever track. It is just so different in a great way and you can’t help but dance along. So please, do yourself a favor and book Hype Rhythm for your event, you will thank yourself later. These guys can get down and best of all, you will have so much fun with them! After postponing our wedding we were finally able to get it done this weekend and it was a blast, in large part to the effort and performance of Nick! Nick is professional and organized and his website was very user friendly and very useful. Everything went smooth the night of the wedding and if it wasn’t for masks I would have forgotten we are in a pandemic. Hype Rhythm did a helluva job with announcements and the music and sound was amazing. The drummer adds on a whole other element. If you want people to have fun and dance their butts off at your wedding, hire Nick Ruiz and Hype Rhythm!

Drummer combo until we heard them play at a Bridal Expo and he was immediately sold. The pair created such a unique experience – our guests are still talking about how much fun they had. Nick really listened to the vibe we were going for in the wedding and played music that perfectly captured that vibe. Not to mention, he did an incredible job blending all the different musical genres my husband and I wanted to play (country, pop, 70s/80s to name a few). He kept our guests on the dance floor all night, and was the perfect MC - gave all the most important information, but didn't try to overdo it on the mic. More than that, he was super flexible when I made last minute changes – pulling specific songs, switching up event timing, etc. – and helped us edit down our first dance song so that we could create a choreographed dance. We had such a blast with them, and Nick provided such a seamless experience the entire way through – I wish I had a wedding every year so that I could keep booking Nick and his team. I cannot recommend Hype Rhythm enough – your wedding guests will thank you.

erienced events with him before, he still blew our socks off when he DJ'd our wedding (he even came to San Antonio!). He is so professional and seriously knows how a wedding day needs to flow. I wish I could have hired him as my day-of coordinator! He helped tremendously with our wedding day timeline--from herding guests to where they need to go next, to reading the room and knowing what the crowd is feeling. We had several people (some who are known amongst our friend group to criticize wedding music) give SO MANY compliments. Dancing our faces off was one of the top priorities for our wedding day, and our dance floor was packed the whole night. Nick is kind, courteous, and so much fun to be around. We honestly cannot recommend him enough. VIDEO SERVICES: I'm not sure if I can post a reviedw for 1 company in 2 separate categories, so I'm adding this here as well. We also hired Andrew (double Ayy!) for video services, as we last minute decided we wanted a videographer, and Andrew happened to still be available. We just watched our video, and I don't know how one videographer was able to capture so much and so perfectly. We may have cried watching it. I'd actually recommend to any couple to hire video services, but especially to hire Andrew. We had guests asking us, "Who is your friend with the camera? He is SO NICE." Like, people thought that he was a family friend; that's how in sync he was. He was personable, funny, and so obviously passionate (and good) at what he does. Overall, my husband and I are BEYOND satisfied with Hype Rhythm's services (music AND video), and we truly believe they are the best in the business.

Our venue required our guests to move from room to room quite a bit, and he made sure the transitions were flawless. He kept the dance floor packed the entire time and read the room so well. I’m very thankful to Nick for making our wedding so fun!

Chris, the drummer, has such a unique talent of perfectly complimenting the music that is being played, no matter what style and really making it come alive. Nick at the Austin Bridal Expo, I knew I wanted him to DJ our wedding. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and went above and beyond for us, even fielding multiple edits to a custom song mashup. It was so much fun to watch him dancing and enjoying the music as much as our guests were. He also did an excellent job in gathering people at the end of the night for our sparkler exit. Added bonus? The live drummer. Totally takes everything over the top. Probably my favorite vendor and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Hire Nick - you won't regret it!
