Shari was great to work with and the best choice for our wedding ceremony. She customized our wedding ceremony to us and we were able to edit it however we felt necessary. Shari was very kind and easy to work with. She was also relatable which was important as we are very down to earth people who genuinely just wanted to get married and have an amazing evening with our friends and family! Would absolutely recommend Shari if you are looking for a wedding officiant who is able to customize your ceremony to you and your future spouse!

We hired Shari to be our officiant for our wedding on 10/15/22 and are so happy we did! She took the time to write a beautiful personalized ceremony that really kept the audiences attention and I don’t think there was a single dry eye in the crowd. Shari was great! She was thorough during our Zoom interview, taking time to get to know us with easy conversation. The questionnaires to provide more information was helpful (and revealing!). It was nice that she provided some scripted options to select from to help create our wedding. Shari was the perfect fit for our small, second marriage. I cannot recommend her highly enough! My husband is a widower, and I am a breast cancer survivor. She took great care in making sure her words were exactly right and that we were comfortable with everything she had written beforehand due to the sensitive and unique subject matter. She helped us with all of the details we otherwise wouldn’t have thought of and had many tips to help things so smoothly. You can tell she has a lot of experience and truly cares about her couples. This is a long review, so if you don't want to read, I'll just say this--GO WITH SHARI! She was absolutely amazing through our entire process. I knew Shari from my sister's wedding, where she was easy to work with and delivered a touching ceremony. At her wedding, one of the probably silliest, and smallest details, but one that stuck with me, was that she told the couple to wait 2 seconds after she said "You may now kiss the bride," so that she could scoot out of the way so she wasn't in the middle of the couple's first kiss photos! Seems like a small thing, but to me that showed that she had a lot of experience and attention to detail that I wanted our own officiant to have. We met with Shari twice before our big day; once virtually, where we got to know each other a bit, and she asked all about how we envisioned our day; and the second time in person a couple months before the wedding, where we went over all the ceremony details. After our first meeting, we were given a couple's worksheet we were to fill out, and a packet that listed TONS of vow, blessings, and ring exchange options for us to choose from. It was important to us that our ceremony was secular, and not religious, so we wanted vows and a message that didn't include religious overtones, and Shari made it very clear that she could do it however we wanted. After my fiancé and I sent her the worksheet that told her more about us and our story, she put together our entire ceremony and sent it to us about a month before the big day. We got to read through the entire thing, and she asked us to send her any feedback or changes we wanted, because she wanted it to be exactly what we wanted. It was great to be able to have a say in what was shared at our ceremony, but also HUGE that she had a starting point for us to go off of (i.e. we chose vows from her packet because we didn't want to read our own, and didn't know where to start). When it was time for our rehearsal, Shari offered to hold onto our marriage license overnight so we wouldn't have to worry about it the following day while getting ready and transporting around for photos. The rehearsal went smoothly and everyone knew their role. On the day of our ceremony, she allowed us to pick if we wanted our witnesses to sign the marriage license before or after the ceremony, to best accommodate our timeline. She then kept it with her and submitted it to the state so we didn't have to do anything! On the wedding day, Shari came an hour before the ceremony and checked in with us first, then the venue coordinator, then checked in with the DJ to ensure she was setup with the mic, then lastly checked in with the photographer to mention the seconds she needed to scoot away before our first kiss at the altar. The ceremony lasted about 20 glorious minutes, and there were not many dry eyes in the place. Shari did a great job telling our story and inserting moments of levity that made everyone smile. We've had countless compliments from friends and family that the ceremony was one of the sweetest, intimate, and most genuine ceremonies they had attended; they could feel the love coming off of us. I am certain that is because Shari helped take so much off our shoulders, took on a leadership role so that we didn't have to worry about the little things, and allowed the moment to be just about us, our story, and our love. She helped make it better than I could have imagined! GO WITH SHARI!!

Alissa was amazing! So nice and very easy to work with. She took our couples sheet and made our ceremony perfect! I really appreciate her and everything she did. Would 100% recommend this company to everyone.

Shari was fantastic! She had a great sense of humor and offered great suggestions throughout the wedding process. Examples: how to navigate having two "best men" - she suggested to have one stand next to the groom and the other to sign the marriage certificate. She also had a lot of suggestions/example vows, readings, unity ceremonies, etc. She listened to what we wanted in a ceremony and made it come to life. I would recommend Shari to everyone I know.

Nick was amazing! Shari was amazing! We had originally booked a different officiant who bailed on us 1 month before the wedding. We found I Choose You Ceremonies totally by accident and we were so lucky we did. They helped build the perfect wedding agenda on short notice and they were flexible with our busy schedule. Nick was on time and had everything ready to explain to the wedding party. He met with the DJ to make sure music was in order and timing was right. My only complaint is that he didn’t stay and have a beer with us after the ceremony. He truly did a fantastic job and we are so grateful to have found I Choose You Ceremonies. Thank you both!

Working with Shari and Alissa (our officiant) in our wedding ceremony was such an easy process! Both of them put us at ease and answered any questions we had and made any changes we recommended. Alissa conducted the most efficient and easy going rehearsal the night before and had everything handled when it was winder than expected during our ceremony to keep our unity ceremony items from tipping over! We hadn't even thought of the wind and are so glad she was on top of it! Working with I Choose You Ceremonies was the best decision and I can't recommend them enough!

We were first referred to Shari and Nick with I Choose You Ceremonies through our venue and after the initial zoom call with Shari, we knew right away there was no other vendor we were interested in working with. Shari has a lot of experience working in the wedding industry and it made the script writing process so seamless. Through zoom meetings and questionnaries, Shari was able to write a wedding script that captured our love story and created a ceremony exactly how we envisioned. Nick was extremely professional from his attire to the way he conducted our ceremony. We are so grateful to them both for such a wonderful experience and cannot recommend them enough to all friends and family.

Shari with I Choose You is AMAZING! We met on Zoom a couple of times before our wedding and she had so much information to share for things that I would have completely forgotten to consider or ask about. She put together the most wonderful non-traditional ceremony for us and we received so many compliments about it following our wedding! My husband hated weddings before, but thanks to Shari, he will always remember how great ours was! I would 12/10 recommend Shari and I Choose You for your wedding! Really enjoyed having Shari officiate our wedding! She helped answer any and all questions we had and did a great job to make the ceremony unique to us. Even though she did have a bit of a mic problem, Shari was able to pull it off without one!

Choosing Shari to be our officiant was a no brainer! When we first met her, we knew that she was a perfect fit to officiate our wedding! Her communication throughout the whole process was very smooth and responded in a timely manner. When Covid through a wrench in our plans, Shari was so flexible with officiating a small ceremony for us as we had to postpone our big wedding. She drafted a script and allowed us to read and make any changes which we didn’t because she writes beautifully! She truly captured Zach and I. When we first met Shari, my husband and I knew we had to have her officiate our wedding. She is the sweetest and kindest person we have ever met. Each meeting with her felt effortless and fun. Just like getting together with an old friend. Shari is the best decision we made. Our ceremony was completely customized and personal to us 100%. All of our guest couldn't stop raving about how personal and heart felt it was. She even sends in your marriage licence for you so there is one less thing on your plate. After this whole process we truly think of Shari as more of a friend than just an officiant. You will not be disappointed hiring her. If you're on the fence about hiring an officiant, don't be, just DO IT and hire Shari ;)

Shari is AMAZING! She took the time to get to know us, and made our day so special. We where able to get our three children involved in the ceremony with a sand ceremony that Shari recommended (I had no idea about this). It really made it "Just our day". I could not be happier with I Choose you!

We absolutely loved working with Shari. Initially, we were going to have a friend be our officiant, but after that option didn't pan out, we began researching officiants online and came across Shari with I Choose You ceremonies. We were immediately impressed with her backstory and all of the positive reviews we read. We reached out to her and had a consultation which was great. She is easy to talk to and so sweet. She saved us a lot of work by providing us with an abundance of reading material for us to review and hand select which readings we wanted for each part of our ceremony. It was so nice hearing the readings my husband and I had chosen interwoven into such a lovely ceremony by Shari. She worked with our event coordinator at the rehearsal and at the wedding to make sure the ceremony and transition to the cocktail hour was seamlessly executed. I would recommend Shari to anyone. We met with a few officiants and once we meet Shari, we knew she was right for us. She was accommodating and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Shari was already booked for our wedding date but we were able to use her son Nick McCormick to officiate our wedding. During the planning process we still communicated through Shari and she did a great job with answering any questions we had and giving us lots of material to choose from. However our readings/scriptures must have gotten lost as we didn't receive our final draft until about a week before the wedding. We met with Nick before hand and he did a great job with the rehearsal dinner. However during the ceremony he seemed a little nervous. He forgot to tell our guests to sit back down. And he ended up announcing me as Brandon... All in all they did an okay job, and it ended up being a funny story to tell.

Our officiant was Shari McCormick with I Choose You Ceremonies. We aren’t religious, and Shari did a great job of writing a beautiful ceremony script that felt like something true to us. She took the time to learn about us, and incorporate what she learned into our ceremony. Shari put together a script, and then we worked back and forth a couple of times making tweaks until it was perfect – we didn’t have much to change! It hit all the right notes of sweetness, seriousness, and humor.

Shari was the first officiant we met with, Tyler and I were nervous because our officiant had the most important job on our wedding day. We were willing to meet with however many officiants we needed to find the perfect one to marry us. We were wanting a beautiful ceremony that was heartfelt and meaningful to us, also one that wasn’t too long or too short. When we first met Shari we loved her personality, she’s the type of person who can get along with anyone and everyone. We loved how everything we mentioned we wanted at our ceremony she would write down, she took so many notes to ensure she knew what we wanted. We also loved that she could answer any possible question we had (we had a lot). After we met with her Tyler and I knew she was the perfect person to marry us. She was amazing through our entire wedding process, she made everything so simple. She sent Tyler and I a script of the ceremony a month before our wedding so we could look over everything and change what we needed. I was amazed by how beautiful the script was, I cried almost the whole time reading it, it was exactly what Tyler I wanted; meaningful, and heartfelt. The day of our wedding Shari made everything a breeze and she did a fantastic job! So many people came up to me during our reception and told me how beautiful the ceremony was and how wonderful our officiant was. Long story short, I am so beyond grateful we found Shari to marry Tyler and I, we couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony!!

We met with several officiants before selecting Shari at I Choose You Ceremonies. Shari is immediately very warm and personable. She was so easy to work with during the planning process whether answering email questions or the few in-person meetings that we needed. Shari was eager to help us create the ceremony that best reflected us as a couple and provided very helpful resources for readings, vows, etc. For the rehearsal, Shari was prompt and well prepared. She quickly organized our group to get everyone on the same page. On the actual wedding day, Shari gave us the exact ceremony that we wanted. The ceremony was intimate and personalized, and it went off without a hitch. Shari had clearly coordinated with our DJ to ensure that everyone understood the cues for music changes, and her delivery was incredibly professional and polished. She even took care of the license paperwork for us, so when we returned from our honeymoon the certified marriage certificate was waiting in our mailbox. The ceremony is the point of the whole day, and we wanted to be sure to choose the right officiant. When working with Shari, you get all of the talent and experience that comes with choosing a professional officiant. We could not be more pleased with our ceremony and I Choose You Ceremonies. Shari was outstanding. From the moment we met her we loved her and were so excited for her to be our officiant. We thought we knew what we were doing exactly, but she really made us realize we had some more thinking to do. She had the pleasure of getting to tell Shari about our life, the things we love to do and what is important to us, which she incorporated into our wedding ceremony. She was very good about sending me things to help decide on vows, bible verses, and just some hints. Also, her communication throughout the entire process was fantastic. Shari had sent us rough drafts of the ceremony and we were able to edit her work without question. That gave us the ceremony we wanted. We couldn't of asked for a better experience with an amazing officiant and wonderful person.

Shari was amazing! My husband and I were extremely unsure on who to pick for our officiant. Neither of us are religious, so we didn't have an obvious person such as a pastor to marry us. We attended an event called All About Weddings Omaha happy hour because we had read positive reviews about Shari, and and wanted to meet her. Unfortunately, she had a family emergency, and we weren't able to meet her. We were however able to schedule a visit with her outside of this event. And she was definitely worth the wait! During this wedding process, there are so many "fake" vendors that will do/say anything for you to select them. That is the complete opposite of Shari! She was so kind, genuine, and thorough. We only had two meetings, but she has many detailed documents that you fill out, so that she gets to know you, and can personalize your ceremony. These forms are AMAZING, because we had no idea where to begin. She would let you completely personalize the ceremony, or she has tons of examples of passages/phrases, so you can just "point to the one you like" and bam.......ceremony done :) Honestly, I've been to so many weddings (both religious and non-religious) and most of the time I encounter either boring pastors, or officiants that are trying to be "funny or quirky". Shari literally let us be who we were. We selected a lot of passages for her to read that she offered us, she let us rewrite some of her vow passages to fit us which lead into us reading our own hand-written vows. The ceremony was perfect. Beyond perfect. Pretty much a complete stranger helped us share our love with all of our guests. There are a lot of things I would do differently with my wedding, but Shari is definitely NOT one of them. She is beyond amazing, and even our guests loved her. They were never bored or distracted (and they easily could have been since we were married in front of the elephants at the Henry Doorly Zoo!). If you are even considering an officiant, consider Shari. Just meet her once, and you will love her.....and then you can say to her, "I Choose You!" Thanks again Shari for making the best day of our lives so amazing. We are forever grateful :)

Nick from I Choose You Ceremonies officiated our wedding on April 8. He was so great to work with leading up to and throughout our wedding day! It was easy to schedule meetings - they get back to you right away! He took charge at the rehearsal and made sure everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing. And we had so many compliments about the ceremony afterwards from our family and friends because the ceremony was so beautiful. I highly recommend!!
