That level of communication alone meant so much to me during an already overwhelming planning process. When I realized I wouldn’t be able to get to the venue early enough for everyone to have their hair and makeup done, they were beyond accommodating and allowed us to come to their studio instead. On the day of the wedding, we were all running behind and a bit frazzled, but they stepped in calmly, helped get us organized, and truly saved the morning. They even let me use their table when I realized I had forgotten to glue on my press-on nails—such a small thing, but it meant the world in that moment. My hair turned out absolutely amazing and held perfectly all night. My makeup was just as incredible—it lasted the entire evening and, most importantly, Lark actually listened to me about wanting to keep my natural pale skin tone. Other artists in the past hadn’t respected that, but Lark made my makeup perfectly suited to my complexion, and I felt like the best version of myself. Beyond their talent, both women were so much fun to be around and genuinely cared that each of us was happy with how we looked. They created such a positive, calming, and joyful atmosphere during a hectic day. I am so grateful for them and would recommend them without hesitation to any bride. different packages! My bridesmaids wanted their hair done and wanted false lashes without getting makeup done, and I Do offered a package for that! Raemie was also extremely communicative through the portal, which I loved because everything was kept in one place. I liked how she had a form for the bridesmaids to fill out about what they wanted for their hair. I also appreciated how flexible Raemie was about adding some people's services at the very last minute and how she was easily able to accommodate the changes I wanted between my trial and my wedding day. I was from out of town, so she also made it a breeze to schedule my trial for when I could come to town! Not to mention, Raemie is SO nice and easy to talk to but will also stick up for the bride if other people are overriding her. Overall, it was a great experience working with Raemie and her assistant Christyanna before and on my wedding day! I would highly recommend I Do Hair & Makeup Artistry.

erience not as ideal. My hair stylist was overall very friendly and did a great job with my bridesmaids. She arrived to our venue on time and was very efficient and prepared. My bridesmaids, who had a combination of straight and curly hair, looked great, and the styles stayed all night. My hair unfortunately did not hold a curl and looked messy after a few hours. During my hair trial, I made sure to communicate with my stylist that my hair tends to not hold a curl. We tried a style, and I later sent pictures to my stylist following the trial that showed my hair did not hold the curls she had made. We came up with an alternative plan to use on my wedding day to make it last longer. On the day, I expressed to my stylist that there were a few curls that she had done that were not holding, and also pointed out a few small strands that she had missed entirely when curling. She curled the uncurled pieces, but despite reiterating my concerns, my stylist insisted the curls would stay. Almost immediately following the ceremony, almost half my hair had fallen flat. My hair CAN hold a curl when done properly (I did it myself for my rehearsal and it lasted all day), but unfortunately my stylist did not make it last. Another item of note is that upon booking, the company requires you to sign a long contract (made during COVID-19 and now out of date) that requires you to always tag them on all pictures posted to social media and other websites, and that they can contact your photographer and use any photos of you for marketing. It also incorrectly states that you must provide hotel accommodation/travel fees if the wedding is outside of San Juan, TX, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, even though the company is based in Tucson. At one point, I tried to remove a service for one of my bridesmaids months in advance of the wedding, but because I had already made my first payment (50% of the total cost) they weren’t willing to remove it. 20% mandatory gratuity and a $50 veil placement (that I didn’t end up having my stylist do as a result of the fee) were also a factor that weren’t initially apparent from the website. While it was an overall good experience with this business, and I was happy with the majority of the results, there were a few things I wish had been handled better, hence my review.

Prices were also very transparent which was much appreciated. I did a trial run for hair/makeup before my big day and the stylist gave me some great recommendations based on my skin type and hair length. When it came to the day of my wedding, the team arrived promptly and they were incredibly friendly and professional. On behalf of my entire wedding party, we loved our hair and makeup. I beautiful and confident, and I would definitely use their services again if given the chance!

We ended up being way ahead of schedule! They brought a speaker and played music and they were so fun to talk to, it made for a really nice and relaxing environment on a morning that had the potential to be stressful. It was so important for all of us to really feel like ourselves and the artists nailed it! We all looked so good and natural, just a bit elevated. Everyone kept saying it was the best professional makeup they’ve ever had done! Nothing cake-y or heavy at all, it barely felt like I had anything on my face, and it wore so well all night! They really listened to each of our requests so well. Could not have asked for better hair and makeup artists, please pick them for your wedding!!!
