My Type A girlies, thinking they can do it all, this review is for you! When it comes to planning, I'm very type A. So when it came to my wedding, my organization meter was through the roof. Let me set the scene, we wanted to do a two year engagement to save and plan in advance; to minimize rushing and last-minute stress. I thought I could do it all, but it became very difficult to balance my wedding , my life and work to do lists in my mind. The first thing I loved about working with Michele was how she offered various options of how involved you want her to be! THIS WAS MUSIC TO MY OCD EARS! I was able to show up to our meetings with my quirky/unique ideas and PowerPoints, and know that I could trust Michele to put everything into action. Michele also has a wide range of vendor contacts. We were not only able to find vendors that meet our budget, but had meetings set up by Michele to ensure they were a good fit for us. Once they were selected, she stayed in close contact with them, dealing with emails and seeting up check-in meetings. Both of these things gave me peace of mind throughout the day to focus on everything else. Now let's talk "day of"...I warned Michele at the very start that I can't help myself when it comes to making sure everyone is taken care of. I asked her for during the wedding, all I wanted was to care about being in the moment and not being a host. Let me tell you, she balanced this overly involved bride like a pro. While everyone was getting ready, and I was waiting my turn, I was able to be involved with some of the items and tasks that meant a lot to me. I know the bride doing work on the wedding day is highly frowned upon, but it brought me so much happiness and a sense of calm. For that, I'm extremely grateful for Michele allowing me to be a contributing factor. Once it was game time, I didn't lift a finger. Everything went so smoothly, and I got to enjoy my wedding day without being a host! Thank you, Michele, for organizing my dream wedding! I'm so thankful. We recently had the pleasure of working with Michele as our wedding coordinator, and I can't recommend her highly enough. From start to finish, Michele was an absolute lifesaver and made our wedding day truly unforgettable. From our first meeting over a year before our wedding day, Michele was very organized and attentive. You think as a bride you have planned for everything ahead of time, but trust me you have not. Her dedication, professionalism, and warm personality made the entire experience enjoyable. Michele was instrumental in making our wedding go smoothly, and we can't thank her enough for her incredible work. She delivered beyond our expectations.

Michele is extremely professional, knowledgeable and organized. She is personable and easy to talk to. I could text or call her at anytime and she would answer. She went to my vendor meetings with me, gave me ideas on good companies and people to work with, and reached out to them for me. She was honest about pricing expectations, helped me keep in my budget, and gave outstanding advice for someone like me who knew nothing about the attention to detail needed for a wedding!! She ensured we had everything we needed and then some. Michele made our wedding day go on without a hitch. Arrival and clean up were smooth. We could not have pulled off this wedding without her! Michele was an amazing day-of coordinator for our September wedding at the Stockroom at 230 in Raleigh! She was very responsive and on top of every detail in the weeks leading up the wedding, so we felt very comfortable working with her from the start. We didn’t have any worries on the day of the wedding and we were assured that all was taken care of because of her help with organization and preparation for the day. She did an excellent job connecting all of the vendors ahead of time so that all went smoothly on the day of the wedding and all we had to do was enjoy the day. Michelle found us a new caterer with only a few hours notice. For months my daughter and her Mom had planned a sumptuous Mediterranean feast prepared by our popular Mediterranean Deli, known simply as ‘MED DELI’ on Franklin St in Chapel Hill. Unfortunately, MED DELI suffered a tragic fire the SAME afternoon of my daughters wedding. Michelle Workman SAVED THE DAY and the food arrived about an hour later than we had planned. Michele was our day-of coordinator and did an amazing job. Our caterer was med deli, which caught on fire the day of our wedding. Michele managed to find another restaurant to fulfill our original menu last minute and dinner was only a little late. She also didn't tell us (the bride and groom) until she had already sorted everything out, which we both appreciated. We knew that Michele was on top of everything, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day. We'd give her 10 stars if we could, thank you Michele!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Michele as our day of/month of coordinator for our May 2023 wedding at the Evermore. She was so helpful in the months leading up to our wedding and answered a million questions, and thought through every detail with us! The day of went super smoothly and we were so happy with how everything turned out. We were able to truly relax and enjoy our day to the fullest with Michele running the show :)

Michele was amazing to work with! It rained the day of our wedding and she had to deal with a lot of last minute changes and did so in a calm manner. Having her handle all the details and communication with our vendors allowed us to truly enjoy our big day!

In the time leading up to the wedding, Michele jumped right in and helped us navigate our decision-making (including last-minute changes). I cannot say enough about the whole experience working with Michele! We planned our wedding from out of state so trying to do it on our own and have reputable vendors seemed daunting so we hired Michele! Her expertise and advice on vendors was spot on! She went to a couple vendor meetings for us and/or coordinated a zoom call with them. She went through all the fine print and caught small details that I would have missed. We felt she was open and honest about what was needed and what we could live without. She understood where we wanted to be with our vision and she made it all come to life. Day off was her time to shine, and she did! She stopped me several times from trying to put together decor or little details and said nope I got this, that’s what I’m here for, and it was so weight lifting. She even literally sewed one of my bridesmaids into her dress where a zipper had ripped! I felt like she had fun with the guests and fit right in to our day! Definitely worth it!

Michele is a rockstar of a wedding planner. We met Michele at a bridal expo back in 2019 when we originally had our wedding planned for 2020. Up until COVID happened, she had already done a huge amount of work in helping us look for venues and vendors. We had everything picked out and then BOOM, everything shut down. During these unprecedented times, Michele went above and beyond in helping us navigate and plan what we should do. She met with us multiple times, we re-evaluated the risks and rescheduled the wedding TWICE. We also had a few changes in vendors by the time 2022 rolled around and she was instrumental in helping us find new vendors under a time crunch. Most importantly, Michele was the voice of reason and wisdom when I was panicking about all the changes. She gave her opinions when we asked for them and respected the decisions we made. When the big day finally came, Michele worked her magic and made sure that everything went smoothly and that we were as stress free as could be! If you are looking for an amazing, friendly, organized, responsible planner...Michele is your person!! Highly highly recommend :)

Michele is fantastic! My husband and I hired Michele about 18 months out from our wedding to be our “month out” coordinator. I told Michele at the time that I wanted her to take over planning a couple of months before the wedding because I would be studying for my residency board exam prior to the wedding. We made plans to meet up and have her take over closer to the date. From the get go, Michele was on board to support me fully during the exam studying and not contact me unless necessary. The three of us met up for a meeting prior to starting my study block and then for 6 weeks while I was studying, she and my husband handled everything. Michele is experienced and initiated all contact with vendors and knew exactly what to-do items needed to be completed and when. She was happy to handle things and visit the venue prior to the big day! In regards to the actual day, Michele was very detail oriented while still being able to see the big picture which allowed the event to run smoothly. Michele kept us on our timeline while still being flexible and allowing us to linger when necessary, that meant we could actually enjoy the reception portion. Michele would frequently check in on me and my husband to make sure we were comfortable and happy. She was skilled at delegating tasks to others but also willing to get her hands dirty to make things work (moving tables herself, carrying chairs and setting up) even if physical manual labor was required to get the job done! The entire time she maintained a great attitude and was also funny so it made the weekend even more enjoyable. Our venue (The Pavilion at Nicks Road) was extremely challenging and difficult to work with - she still handled so much that I think only the rest of my family knows about so that my husband and I could enjoy the day. Multiple people came up to me during my wedding weekend to say I was the most calm looking bride they have ever seen - I am sure that can be attributed to the fact that Michele was in charge and when people would ask me something I would just point them towards Michele. You should absolutely hire Michele for your wedding. We had so much fun and our weekend was perfect. My only regret is not considering full wedding planning services with Michele - I am sure she would do an amazing job in that scenario too.

We hired Michele as a day-of coordinator and she was incredibly attentive and supportive throughout our entire planning process! We always felt comfortable reaching out to her and could trust her knowledge and experience for everything along the way. Our wedding day turned out to be amazing and we had so much fun all day long! Michele's assistant, Krista, was there to help with all the day-of wedding details, and she made us feel so calm all day. Our wedding had a few out-of-the-ordinary details (extra long cocktail hour for games, song performance by family) and Krista made sure the day ran perfectly smoothly from start to finish. Michele was absolutely amazing and we are so glad to have found her to help with our special day! We did the “Finishing Touch” Package and it was worth every penny. During our initial meeting with Michele, she was so thorough asking questions about our wedding that booked her by the end of it. We felt such a positive connection with her right away. She is very experienced and that really shows in the questions that she has for her couples as well as the vendors. Having her during the last month before the wedding was such a huge help. She coordinated with all of my vendors for the timeline and I didn’t have to lift a finger. She was able to set out all of the signs, tables, chairs, etc for our wedding day and also helped cleaned up at the end of the night which was such a huge help to my parents. Her assistant McKenzie was so helpful during our wedding day and did such a great job with our flower girls and ring bearers waiting in line to process in! Michele was so great at coming up to us during the wedding and checking on what we needed. She made sure that we got our left overs from catering and they were in the car at the end of the night. Michele is so welcoming and warm, and really makes you feel so special! She is the best to work with!!

I highly recommend Michele! She was so nice to work with, professional, personable and very organized. My daughters wedding was the absolute perfect day. I was able to enjoy the day, thanks to Michele's wonderful planning skills. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m telling you— look no further! Michele is the BEST. I genuinely feel like I got WAY more than I paid for with Michele (she helped with my day of Wedding Planning). Michele met with me in person 3-4 times & she was so extremely warm, kind, vibrant, and helpful. After my first meeting with her I canceled the 3 other wedding planning meetings I had scheduled with other potential wedding planning candidates because I felt SO sure of her abilities and I trusted her (my instinct was correct). Michele helped so much with answering wedding related questions the entire year we worked together— from what’s typically done here, do you think I should add x, how would you deal with x vendor, etc. along the way BEFORE the actual day. Michele also joined several pre-wedding planning meetings with folks like my caterer… she coordinated EVERYTHING. She reminded me of things and timelines, she sent me agendas & checklists… My mother-in-law even joked how crazy quick & responsive she was for all things— and she was!! 🙌🏼 Michele was a Godsend! I worried about NOTHING going into my wedding day because I knew Michele had everything organized and ready to go.. and if things went wrong I knew she would be able to handle it. Having trust and confidence in your wedding planner is the BEST peace of mind for a bride. I actually did have a few complications with vendors during and just before my actual wedding and I’m SO thankful Michele was in my corner to help handle/de-escalate the issues. I cannot say enough good things about her… My husband and I could not find the ~right~ person to marry us and her HUSBAND ended up being the man to do it (thanks for that too, Michele (; ). I had so many people come up to me just after our ceremony to compliment his service & message on marriage too!! Michele truly did an amazing job- she was totally born to do what she does. Michele truly goes above and beyond! I now consider her a friend & I will continue to recommend her to ANY and ALL of my friends getting married. I don’t know how I could’ve pulled my wedding off without Michele. My partner and I love her. She was so professional and efficient. Several family members and guests even said to me before or after the event that they enjoyed talking to her and saw her flawlessly balancing things the day of the wedding! Hiring Michele to help with wedding planning was hands down the BEST decision we made regarding our wedding. We had a two year engagement and hired Michele about a year in when we were still thinking "oh it's so far away!" But the date snuck up on us little by little and without Michele we would have been OVERWHELMED with all the things we had to get done! Michele not only helped us find other vendors she personally knew, loved, and recommended (all of whom were AMAZING!) but also kept us on track with everything on our timeline - sending out save the dates, getting the bridal party together, deciding on linens and renting glasses, picking our perfect menu, and on and on- every step of the way she was willing to send an email, hop on a phone call, go see the decor, and so much more. Even things I had totally forgotten were part of the planning process, she had taken care of without a problem! She was instrumental in making sure everything got done on time both before the wedding and the day of! Since she had worked at our venue before and knew all our vendors, she had everything running super smoothly without a hitch. We are so thankful to have had someone so knowledgeable about every little detail that we could turn to anytime we had a question or concern. We were honestly blown away by how much she did for us and how bubbly, kind, upbeat, excited, and pragmatic she was throughout it all. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Michele was an essential part of my wedding! I don’t know what I would have done without her. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and took so much stress off my shoulders. Michele was fantastic!! I had already made many of the large decisions and even signed some contracts by the time we hired Michele to fill in the gaps for us and handle things the day of. She picked up right were we left off with ease and grace. She was a true partner with us in the process, as we didnt want to just dump everything on her. She attended appointments with us, gave us fantastic insight into things we never would have considered on our own, and provided great vendor suggestions when needed. To say she was supportive was an understatement. We had some wrenches thrown into our plans we were struggling with and no matter what, she reassured us it was our day and needed to be what we wanted. The day of, everything went smoothly. I had added a surprise for the groom during the reception that was a large undertaking. She helped pull it off with all of the other vendors without issue. I worked with Michele as a month-of coordinator. She was SO on top of things, I didn't have to worry about a thing. Of course I planned the wedding myself and made most of the arrangements, but Michele made sure that handoffs were smooth, and that every single detail was accounted for. Michele is the best! Originally, as we began planning for our wedding, we were not sure if we wanted to spend the money on a planner. It was one of the best decisions we made around the big day (except for choosing each other)! Michele was great to work with and helped us tremendously to stay on schedule with all of the details surrounding the wedding. We were able to relax in the days leading up to wedding (as much as anyone can) because of her guidance and the confidence we had in her. She was always available whenever we needed some help and really did everything she could to let us enjoy our wedding weekend. Our wedding was right before everything shut down with the wedding and we could not have had as special of a day without her guidance. Michele's communication with all of the vendors as we were making last-minute adjustments because of COVID really made the difference for us to enjoy the weekend and have as safe of an event as possible.

Michele and I met at a wedding show about 7 months before our wedding. My husband and I knew a lot of what we wanted to do, but didn’t have vendors for everything and were tired of planning after securing a venue and a couple other things. We did the “pick up where you left off“ package where Michele just stepped in wherever we were and helped until the last song was played the night of. Michele met with us in person and by phone routinely, came to our tastings, recommended our florist, hair&makeup stylist, and party rental, planned the ceremony and reception program. She’s very well organized, easy and fun to talk to, and really made sure the day was a huge hit! We had an amazing weekend and couldn’t have done it without her.

Michele was awesome to work with. She is very professional and organized. She made everything run smooth. We hired her for day of coordination and it was the best decision we made. I’m a DIY bride and she helped set up centerpieces and everything. She made contact with all vendors and took care of keeping them up to date with any changes made. This was a challenging time to plan a wedding amongst COVID. Michele was great for the day of and even got in the dance floor and had a good time too!

Michele is an absolute rock star at wedding planning and coordination! We hired her as our day-of coordinator for our August 2020 wedding in Chapel Hill, NC. Under normal circumstances, she kept up-to-date with us regarding our planning efforts and vendor choices as well as providing recommendations when we needed help. Overall, she also kept in close touch as to our morale and provided a much-needed crutch of support and encouragement as we barreled headfirst into one problem after the next related to organizing a wedding during a global pandemic. I cannot recommend Michele enough to every couple looking for a little extra support during their wedding planning process. Choosing "I Do Weddings By Michele" turned out to be one of the best choices we could have made for our big day. She's kind, courteous, and thoughtful, and despite the crazy days leading up to the wedding (all due to making sure every last detail was in place to keep the wedding festivities COVID-safe for our guests), the actual rehearsal dinner and wedding day went so smoothly - no hiccups, no problems, and nothing to distract from a blissfully special weekend. The smoothness of the weekend was due to in large part to Michele's top-notch coordination!

If I could give Michele a million stars, I would! Michele was an honest to goodness life saver in every form! From our first conversation on, I knew I had made the right decision to work with her. She is knowledgeable, personable, professional, everything you need when looking for someone that you want to work closely with to plan an event that is so important to you. Michele and I quickly figured out that planning a wedding during this crazy time (covid-19) was challenging. Without Michele, the wedding wouldn't have turned out the way it did. We went from originally having a wedding in North Carolina with most guests traveling to us to replanning the wedding in New Jersey about two weeks before the wedding date. Michele not only continued to help with the planning from afar, but made the last minute trip to New Jersey to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. She did an AMAZING job! So many people came up to me to compliment how awesome Michele was and how she did a fabulous job coordinating everything. I could not be more grateful that I had Michele to help me from the start! I will recommend her over and over again.
