y anxieties dissipated the moment we started our lessons with Sandro. He offers private lessons in a studio in midtown so there’s ample space and privacy. We showed him a few song options we were considering and he immediately clocked what might work or not with each song so we were able to pick one out with his advice. He prepared a dance for us based on our personalities, our skill level, and then we spent the next three/four lessons learning our moves and then learning to dance with each other. Sandro is an infectious presence -- he’s charming and funny and helps you build confidence and believes in your ability to dance. I looked forward to dance lessons with him each time. And he built a routine that worked so well with our song and we were so excited to show him our dance video after the wedding. Our guests were in awe of our performance, not because we were so talented, but because they could tell how much we’d practiced and how much fun we had. Sandro’s choreography really helped highlight our relationship with each other. Wedding is over, but now we’re booking salsa lessons with him next because he’s taught us to move our bodies and love to dance!

There were several moves that Sandro demonstrated that I initially balked at, as I did not think I was capable of. In addition to learning the routine Sandro designed for us, he also really helped me understand how to mess-up the routine and just dance on. We ended up doing 5 lessons with Sandro and it was one of our favorite parts of wedding prep. Sandro brings so much energy and fun to the process. We looked forward to each lesson and always left in high-spirits.

He hates gimmicks and forced dance moves, but instead, creates a natural dance that flows with ease and subtlety - almost as though it is just pouring out of you. It never looks over rehearsed or over choreographed or corny - he makes sure of that. He’s truly so kind and genuine and gentle and makes sure your dance makes people feel energized and impressed while still seeming natural. That’s the best word I can use. My partner and I are very uncomfortable with attention and he gave us the confidence and joy with which to tackle our night. We would recommend  Sandro to anyone and everyone and will be coming for a date night lesson. He’s also incredibly humble and never self promotes but his beautiful dancing, vibrant personality, and teaching style speak for themselves!
