Sandro had us ready for a 2.5-minute wedding dance in front of 120 guests in only 3 one hour lessons!! He is just amazing — he can help any couple learn a dance of any style in a few short hours. We are SO glad that friends recommended him to us!!

Sandro was amazing! We started with another company, but felt like the dance was too formal and difficult. We called Sandro two weeks before the wedding based on a recommendation from a friend. He fit us in to his schedule and put our minds at ease. We were so nervous to do our first dance together as a married couple, but Sandro made this experience something we actually enjoyed doing. Man, where do I even start with Sandro. He is truly the best at what he does, and it's not even close. If you're looking for dance lessons / wedding choreography, you're in the right place (I mean...just look at the reviews). Everyone was floored at our wedding when we performed our dance, and it was one of the most special moments from our wedding. We came to Sandro as two (relatively) helpless individuals who had never done any formal dancing / choreo and left with an incredible dance that felt so natural to perform. The progress we made over the course of just 4 lessons (and practice in between, of course) was incredible, and it was 150% due to Sandro and his method. He is a true artist in every sense of the word. We came in with a song that wasn't even in English, and just a couple listens in, he came up with an entire routine. The brilliance of how he meticulously breaks down the routine into individual moves only becomes clear when he helps you piece it all together - that's when it hits you that you can really do it. He has a really special way of slowly but surely building up your confidence. Trust me when I say that if you buy into his method (and practice like he tells you to), you WILL get it. He makes it inevitable. The best part of working with Sandro though is that it's just fun. I certainly wouldn't consider myself a dancer, but I had a blast learning with him and my fiancee. His energy is infectious, he's so kind, and when he needs to be, he's adamant (for all the right reasons). Sandro is a gem and his lessons are easily worth 2-3x what he's charging - look no further, you won't regret it.

Sandro is incredible. He worked with us on our wedding choreography and turned us from having 2 left feet into impressing all of our guests and most importantly, ourselves. He made class so much fun, and even when it was tough, it was a pleasure because we knew we were learning from the best. We learned all of the best moves and even though our song wasn't in English, he somehow managed to match all the moves to what the lyrics were saying. Sandro is a miracle worker and a one-of-a-kind national treasure! We reached out through his site with 6 weeks until our wedding date, and by the next evening we were making plans for our first lesson and music choices. We threw a lot at him, being not at all confident or experienced dancers, and cutting a piece of music that mixed acoustic and original versions of our song with very different instrumentation and mood, and longer than an average first dance song at 3 minutes. At our first lesson, he spent a few minutes listening to the song, and then immediately choreographed on the fly an amazing dance sequence that fit the first 45 seconds of music perfectly. He creates such a welcoming and low-pressure atmosphere, while still pushing you to improve your technique and presentation. He was always very flexible on working the lessons we needed into our tight timeline. You can tell he isn't satisfied until he knows he's created the best dance he can for you- he would often spend the first part of a lesson re-evaluating and polishing a sequence we'd learned at the last one, always with great results! He was also totally open and gracious about working in our naive suggestions for certain elements we wanted to include at some moments. As ballroom dance novices, his focus was not on teaching us a lot of fundamentals of footwork etc, which is reasonable given that he created and taught us a complete routine in 5 1-hour lessons, which really impressed our family and friends. I'm certain if you specifically asked for more of a focus on one aspect or another he would happily oblige and teach it to you capably! He's a great teacher and we learned a lot about how to dance with a partner, from the perspectives of both the lead and the follower. Sandro is also an incredibly kind person and you can tell he loves doing this work as a way of putting something positive out into the world. If you want to put together a fantastic and memorable first dance, at a very good rate in terms of both your money and your time, and have a lot of fun doing it, look no further!

Sandro was the best! From the very beginning, he never pressured us to sign up for a bunch of lessons. We simply started with one, and he would assess and continue as needed. My wife and I are bad dancers to start but Sandro was patient and made it easy for us to learn. A++++ I would recommend anyone who is looking for an instructor to book him ASAP.

We had a fantastic experience with Sandro. First, he made a custom edit of our song to cut it down to 2 minutes, and it was very well done. He did such a great job choreographing our dance with moves that were fun, impressive, and yet totally doable. The lessons themselves were really efficient - Sandro taught us so much in each session and had us take lots of videos to refer back to later. We were totally set after only 3 lessons (and lots of at home practice). We LOVED our dance and truly couldn’t have asked for more. Our friends and family were blown away. My husband and I took 5 lessons with Sandro before our wedding to learn a first dance. Sandro was amazing and helped edit our song down so it was shorter and more manageable to learn a dance to. He also breaks everything down into easy to learn steps, and we would take a video after each lesson so we could practice at home. During the lessons he kept saying this move or that move is for a "dress moment" and at our wedding when I was in my dress the moments were there! My fiance also really enjoyed the lessons which I think is important to add, I think he got the most into the dance lessons out of every thing we had to do for the wedding.

Sandro was an excellent teacher. We told him our vision, song choice, and dancing experience, and he was able to choreograph and adapt a dance to our capabilities. His professionalism and the experience with dancing was very on spot. He could quickly tell the genre of the dancing we were anticipating just by listening to the song. Sandro respected our time, and made sure we used our time efficiently during each class. We spent 2-3 weeks in between classes in order to internalize what was learned in class. This was a very personalized experience. You can tell he cares on a personal level about imparting proper dancing skills beyond just the dance you are preparing for, such as how to lead, partner dynamics, listening to musicality, etc. Sandro has a great personality, and does not hesitate to interject with jokes at any time, helping to diffuse any anxiety and creating a fun learning environment. We ended up taking a total of 5 classes for a choreography that lasted 3 minutes. This was a very fun experience, and we felt we became closer with each other after this experience. Sandro helped us created a magical moment on our wedding day. Many guests enjoyed the dance and some even cried. We recommend making the same decision.

Sandro was amazing!! He worked with our schedule and I loved that he provided a video we can reference to practice our moves. We felt confident in our abilities by the time of our wedding and we both did not have any dance experience! We even whipped out some of the moves he taught us later in the night.

Our experience learning from and getting to know Sandro was amazing. We are a Lesbian couple (just married!) and had 5 lessons with him leading up to our wedding. Each lesson and step towards our final dance was so much fun - from creating the concept of switching leads throughout the dance on the first lesson, to witnessing Sandro use his musicality to build something out of nothing, and then perfecting each move and gaining confidence and comfortability while doing them - we enjoyed it all! We had no experience coming into Sandro’s lessons, but that didn’t matter - he is a great and patient teacher, and brings good, positive energy to each class. At the end of each lesson he made sure that we both knew our parts and recorded videos so we could practice on our own. We highly recommend going to Sandro for lessons!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I needed a little tough love because I would tend to back lead but after 4 sessions we had everything we needed. A little bit of practice outside of that and our dance turned out great the day of! Our pictures and videos were perfect and you can see we were having fun and laughing the entire time. I’m so glad we decided to take these lessons, we got many compliments and it was very memorable.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Sandro. He was such an incredible joy to work with — my husband and I looked forward to our lessons. Sandro is an incredible dance instructor. My fiancé knows how to dance but it was my very first time even attempting. The whole process was fun, stress-free, and seamless. I went from not knowing how to dance to feeling confident in my ability to go through a beautifully choreographed dance within a matter of months. He was also incredibly helping in tackling my anxiety. He was generous with his time, frequently going over our allotment to ensure I left feeling confident, and made sure I had all the tools I needed to feel comfortable when I finally danced. He is also very knowledgeable about the whole process. He gave us tons of actionable advice, the most important of which was asking our wedding band for a demo of our song before we decided to use it. PLEASE LISTEN TO HIM—the band’s version is almost never what you expect, and the last thing you want to be is surprised and confused when you hear it the first time on your wedding day! He suggested that and comparing with the recording, and we listened, and eventually opted for the recording. He’s an expert and a really fun guy. Can’t imagine doing this without him.

My wife and I cannot recommend Sandro enough. He is a total burst of sunshine. And yes, he will teach you to dance. Watching him conjure up our dance out of thin air when we played him our song ("Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Valli) was nothing short of watching a real artist at work. Be prepared for his style of Sicilian sassiness and tough love, which in some cases can be as effective as couples therapy. Dance with this man.

Despite our lack of experience, Sandro helped us come up with a routine that worked for us (only in two lessons). Since we had very little time, he really worked on moves we could do and gave us tips to master some of the more "complex" dance moves. We were able to perform our wedding dance confidently with just two lessons and some practice at home.

Sandro was excellent and the perfect person to go to for wedding dance choreo. He helped make us comfortable about the whole process and choreographed a dance to match our level of skill. He also made sure to do moves that made my fiancee look gorgeous. He was very funny and made us laugh during every lesson, but was always keeping track of the time and what our dance would look like on our wedding. Sandro is great for professionals since he has late evening and weekend slots. He also books lessons on a class by class basis and doesnt make you buy a block of lessons. I think the best endorsement I can give though is that he made my fiancee who doesnt like to dance excited for dance class! I'll never forget watching her skip on her way to class because she was so excited.

We found Sandro by googling NYC dance instructors and the reviews spoke for themselves, so we reached out. He responded within an hour with a phone call, a personable voicemail, and an in-depth text. He made it incredibly easy to book one appointment and not agree on the spot to a package of classes. My wife and I thought we just wanted a lesson or two so that we didn't look stupid during our first dance at our wedding. We didn't necessarily want a fully choreographed routine, but I think that's because we didn't know that's something we were capable of. Sandro knew, as the name of his business indicates. Within 5 minutes of the first lesson, he asked what our song was, played it on his speaker, and started choreographing on the fly. 6 weeks later and we crushed our first dance at our wedding this past weekend. Not only that - we had fun doing it. Every lesson with Sandro was fun, stress free, and educational. It felt like we were hanging with a friend who was also teaching us how to dance. It was also a super fun date night for us, so even if you aren't practicing for an event, this would be a fun thing for couples to do anytime. One thing that Sandro really drilled into us is that we needed to be able to adjust on the fly and make it look natural, should anything happen (e.g., I missed a step, facing the wrong way, music stops, etc). Well - on that note, the version of our song that Sandro so graciously cut for us went intro, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, outro. That's the one we practiced again and again with moves for every second. Cut to our wedding night. The band plays the mp3 we sent them, or so we thought. We start our dance. We are feeling good, getting the oohs and ahhs through the intro, verse, and chorus. Then we start to hear the second verse. We look at each other. This can't be happening - they're playing the wrong version. But we were well prepared to make it look good until the bridge, and not a single person in attendance could tell. People couldn't stop telling us all night how amazing the dance was. AND it helped us really have fun with it. We cannot recommend Sandro highly enough. He deserves all the business he is going to get - he is THE BEST. 5 definitive, unapologetic, bold stars.

Sandro is a wonderful and knowledgeable instructor who makes class fun and will be able to put together your perfect wedding dance no matter your skill level or what song you choose. After a foot injury, I was just starting to walk again in the week leading up to our wedding and Sandro was able to adapt and create a dance that worked for my ability level while also looking great and flowing with our song. We had an amazing experience working with Sandro! We took a few lessons with Sandro in preparation for our first wedding dance. Sandro came up with a very creative choreographed dance to the song of our choice. He is fun and full of energy, but also patient with you and ensures you are comfortable with each move. Each lesson built upon the previous one. Our friends and family raved about the dance during and after the wedding -- it was the highlight thanks to Sandro!! Not only did he teach us an amazing first dance, but he also gave us lifelong skills — how to lead and be led, and dance steps and moves to incorporate into our dancing for the rest of our lives! I didn't want to do dance lessons originally, but my fiance said I had no rhythm. I didn't really understand how to lead, my fiance never wanted to follow, but Sandro showed us both the best way to work together. It gave us something to look forward to and one thing we had control over with the day. We loved this experience. I really enjoyed going into the dance lessons we had a great time.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR FIRST DANCE!!!! It was the thing we were most nervous about, and it ended up being the best part of the day. Sandro provided a music edit along with great structure to the dance. It left us confident enough to make some adjustments to the dance (based on when my husband finally saw my dress) but he provided us with the skeleton to set us up. From the first spin, the crowd was cheering, all the way to the end.

Sandro is an awesome teacher! My fiance and I booked him once we saw he choregraphed my brothers wedding and we loved working with him immediately. We did not have any dance experience before and Sandro took the time time to guide us through the ballroom and we were able to learn some basic ballroom dancing for our wedding in only a few sessions. Sandro was also really good at explaining dance steps in way that make sense to each individual person, and also really good at helping build muscle memory.
