My husband and I were engaged for nearly 3 years before we even so much as THOUGHT about planning a wedding. Left to our own devices, I'm certain we would, still today, be stuck in a state of perpetual engagement. Enter Bree, the daughter-in-la...w of a family friend and recommended by my husband's mother who had, in a subtle hint that it was time to start planning, already met with Bree on her own. My first impressions were formed by looking over Bree's extremely impressive portfolio, reading a few of her COUNTLESS 5-star reviews, and during a phone call where I was instantly enamored with her kind, patient, judgement-free (yeah, I knew nothing about weddings -- it was embarrassing) demeanor. We decided to go with the full-planning package (we needed it) and booked Bree a little over a year ahead of our wedding. During that year, she helped us to stay on track with all the important things like vendor hiring, menu planning, invitation-sending, etc. etc. etc. but more importantly, she helped me figure out what the heck people were talking about when they asked what my "wedding vision" was. In fact, it was Bree who first pointed out that the seemingly ramshackle group of photos I had pinned on Pinterest in fact had a theme. Since she knew what my "vision" was long before I did, she was able to recommend the most incredible group of vendors to help bring it to life. Jump to the few months leading up to the wedding when I started having occasional wedding-related stress dreams where I would wake up in a panic, worrying about how nervous I was going to be the week of the wedding (I'm sure the Pinterest posts entitled "11,000,000 Wedding Disasters to Prepare For" weren't helping). But weirdly, that much-anticipated anxiety never arrived. Why? You may ask. It's not because I'm a super relaxed person who doesn't enjoy being in control. I really think its because Bree had long-ago proven herself to be incredibly competent, organized, kind, dedicated, and completely capable of handling all 11,000,000 of those potential disasters. On the actual wedding day, Bree and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything was literally perfect. If even one disaster happened, I never found out about it but honestly, I think she anticipated and avoided all of them.
In short, I'm not sure I could or would have ever planned a wedding without Bree, let alone what turned out to be the most beautiful, perfect, love and joy-filled wedding ever (Disclaimer: I am possibly biased about those last few things but not at all about anything I said about Bree, she is absolutely wonderful and you should definitely hire her).
