About this vendor
I Speak Hair is a wedding beauty service based out of Bayonne, NJ. Owner Shannette loves using her skills to transform her clients, creating a look they'll love to wear. She is happy to work on-site so you can get ready wherever you feel most at ease. This can include traveling throughout the Tri-State Area.
Shannette has been working in the beauty industry for more than 14 years. She has loved hairstyling since she was a child, and got her start in full-service salons and teaching before opening I Speak Hair. She is happy to work her magic on groups of all sizes and is happy to work through both English and Spanish.
Shannette starts her process with a hair trial. There, you'll get to discuss your ideas and see them come to life, as this professional creates your ideal wedding hair. She can also apply extensions for added volume or length. I Speak Hair can style hair in all manner of ways, from textured updos to vintage-inspired curls.

nning. She brought what everyone wanted to life. Everyone was beyond pleased with the Amazing job that she did. I hired Shannette in 2019 thinking my wedding would be in 2020 due to Covid we had to postpone and she still stayed by my side. I entrusted her work I didn’t even do a trial. I always wanted to look like a princess for my special day and she went above and beyond to make my dreams come true. I was nervous about doing the style that I always dream of and she assured me it would stay perfect all night and did. Shannette came to the venue with me and touched up everyone’s hair before we walked down the isle. I highly recommend her. I wouldn’t have anyone else style my hair for any other events in the future. I was asked all night who did mine and my girls hair and they wanted me to pass along her info. You won’t be disappointed if you hire her I promise. She stayed as long as I needed her and I was extremely greatful for that. Thank you for your amazing work and for being so extremely sweet to us…

things out of my control. Shannette had the patience of a saint in working with my schedule to get my trial done. She kept direct contact with my bridesmaids so I didn’t have to. On the day of she came early to set up and executed not only myself, and my bridal squad but even squeezed in a few extra family members with time to spare. Her work is stunning and her timing is impeccable. Let me tell you, I left the following morning straight to my honeymoon and my hair STILL looked great from the night before! All night everyone asked for her contact info because it was just unbelievable how one person got us all together so perfect! Shannette comes highly recommended, hands down the best I’ve ever worked with!
