Ian Lade - Wedding DJ

Ian was absolutely the best DJ we could have ever asked for. He absolutely blow us away with how fun, engaging, and flexible during the entire wedding planning process. Every moment felt personal and meaningful. Ian brought so much energy and excitement to our reception that our dance floor never died! He played every song request we made prior to the day of and even worked with me for a last minute (and I mean last minute) song change for the Mother and Son dance without skipping a beat. We had so many people come up to us during the reception and post wedding parties to mention how incredibly fun and professional Ian was. I absolutely would recommend Ian without question! The best way I can summarize Ian and his services are that he will make you want to dance till the cows come home!

Ian was amazing and so flexible. We had a lot of changes due to COVID and weather and he rolled with the punches, was very open and communicative and kept things running smoothly the whole day. We had a smaller wedding (27 people) and worried it would be harder to engage the crowd but Ian kept the party going the whole night! Great music selection that even my picky husband approved.

Working with Ian at Digital Sound Services was the perfect choice for our wedding and made for a stress-free, comfortable, and FUN reception! All it took was some background information and song suggestions from us and Ian hit the ground running and put together a wonderful program. He was extremely professional, courteous, and accommodating. After just a few emails and a phone call, we were able to sit back and trust that Ian would guide us through the events of the night. Not only did he do a great job of keeping everything organized and on-schedule, but he played the perfect playlist and made sure that all of our guests and an awesome time. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end. We are very thankful for everything that Ian did for us and we highly recommend Digital Sound Services.

It was such a pleasure to work with Ian for our wedding! He was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. He played great music to keep our guests on the dance floor and worked with us and our wedding coordinator to make the night flow seamlessly. So glad we chose him as our DJ!

We had so much fun working with Ian! My husband and I are not big on dancing but we knew we had to have good music that our guests would dance to. We had an initial Skype meeting with Ian where we learned more about him and vice versa. He also gave us a sheet to fill in closer to the wedding that allowed us to lay out exactly what would be happening on the day of the wedding (what songs we wanted for the ceremony, who to announce at the reception, how to pronounce everybody’s names, when toasts would occur, everything!). About a month before the wedding we sent him that filled out sheet along with a list of some of our must plays and do-not-plays. We had a great phone call a week before the wedding where we finalized everything, and everything the day-of went off without a hitch! We always felt like we were in great hands with Ian and he didn’t let us down. He played a great mix of the songs we asked him to play along with other hits that our guests absolutely loved. We couldn’t have done it without him!

Ian did a fantastic job with the music for both our ceremony and reception at Bluemont Vineyard! He took time to meet with us prior to the wedding to make sure we were in sync with the flow of events and the music was tailored to our taste. Ian kept the party going at our wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly. The music was great and our guests had a blast dancing the night away:) It was a pleasure working with him. 

We could not have chosen a better DJ than Ian. He followed-up immediately after we first contacted him, met with us prior to the wedding day to get to know us, our plans for the wedding day, and our music preferences. As we got closer to our wedding day, we reached out to him multiple times with inquiries on microphones and how to project sound for our outdoor garden ceremony; and each time he promptly responded with a solution. On the wedding day, he arrived early and ensured we had the proper microphone set up and the proper music set-up for the reception. He MC’d the reception flawlessly, making sure each aspect ran smoothly, from introducing the wedding party to announcing the cake cutting. The music was top notch and matched the energy in the room perfectly. Choosing your DJ is an important decision, this person will set the tone and flow for your reception. Not only is Ian fabulous to work with, he will make sure your reception has just the right atmosphere!

We can't say enough about Ian! He is AMAZING and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Music is so important to us and we are not fan of your run of the mill "wedding music" though I am certain if you are Ian would still be an amazing fit for you. We knew that picking a DJ would be a huge part of our wedding planning and we are just so thankful that Ian had our wedding date available (5/14/16). We are also so thankful that our venue, Bluemont Vineyard, recommended him over anyone else! He is so talented, attentive, and really, I mean REALLY listens to you and gets to know you in order to ensure he is providing the best service possible. It is clear as day that he loves what he does. He encourages for you to select music that is important to you rather than what may be expected of you to play. Also, if you are not sure about picking out the exact songs that will play throughout the wedding he is awesome at figuring out songs that fit your style to play throughout the night. He was just a blast to work with and you just won't (CAN'T) regret choosing him as your DJ vendor!

Ian was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. He obviously has many years of experience which helps when you are planning your first wedding and don't really know how the process should go. He was flexible and excited to learn about our hopes and dreams for our big day. I would definitely recommend him to anyone getting married in the NOVA area.

I grew up with Ian being our DJ for block parties. After getting engaged my mother and I went on a hunt for a DJ and stumbled across Ian, our old neighbor. I received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the friendliness of the DJ and how well he knew the crowd. Ian was able to play music that made the guests get up and dance when it was appropriate as well as play music to calm the group down for dinner. I am so happy we hired him since he did a fantastic job.

Digital sound services AKA Ian did a great job at our wedding. I have been to a lot of wedding in my life and I have to say we had more people have fun and dance than I have ever seen. We had give Ian some songs that we wanted to hear but over all we left it up to him to play what he thought was right and man did he. He also did the wedding and all the cues were hit just right. Overall very happy with him. The one thing that I did not like is that we had to pay by check through the mail. I wish he did pay pal or Venmo, it would just be faster.

I'll admit it, before we talked to Ian I wanted to use an iPod for our wedding DJ. But after an in-person chat I was convinced otherwise. And now, after the best wedding music experience we could ask for, I'm so glad we chose Ian. He was incredibly easy to work with, casual but entirely professional. He friendly was responsive to emails as we planned our day-of schedule and selected tunes. He took our massive list of do and don't plays in stride, filling in the classics for our older guests, adding fantastic tunes we didn't think of but the whole party loved, and making sure everyone was on their feet and dancing for almost the entire reception. Ian also played a pivotal role in keeping the schedule going. He made sure to know absolutely every detail down to the final words our officiant was going to say in order to play our postlude music in a seamless transition. And throughout the reception, having him announcing the goings on to keep our toasts etc on course was something I wouldn't have thought of but made a massive difference. My wife and I highly recommend Ian, with no reservations.

We worked with Ian Lade of Digital Sound Services and got raving reviews from people that attended our wedding! He was very easy to work with, professional, responsive on email, and did an outstanding job at our wedding. He had a great setup and was exactly the type of MC we wanted- not overly involved with the crowd but enough to get everyone involved and let people know what was going on. We gave him a list of songs we would like/wouldn't like to hear and told him he could feel in the blanks with what he knew were party pleasers. It was perfect! Plus who doesn't love a DJ with a British accent? :) We would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ!

We used Ian Lande of Digital Sound Services as our DJ. He was wonderful. It was important to him to get to know us and determine exactly what we wanted. He gave us suggestions as appropriate. During the reception, he kept the guests entertained and although I was convinced that dancing would not be a big part of the reception, I was shocked to see so many people on the dance floor. He was professional, well-dressed and incredibly accessible. Ian works with the staff at Hillsborough Vineyards and thus has a comfort level and familiarity with all personnel. I highly recommend him.

Ian Lade is a great DJ! He has great ideas, an amazing sound, and is so professional. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed our DJ and the service he provided. The only reason that I couldn't go with a 5 star rating was because the wrong song was accidentally played for the father/daughter dance. We still had an awesome time and were very pleased with our service.

Ian Lade was the perfect choice for DJ. We met with Ian and picked him based on reviews and his personality at the meeting. What a great find! We met with him twice before the wedding and he had great ideas and suggestions, and pried additional information from us to personalize the wedding. He was there on time and set up, he was professional and kept on schedule through the night. He kept the music going and people on the dancefloor all through the evening, I was so surprised when he played our last song, it had gone by so fast. On the night of the wedding, I made a change, and Ian just marked his schedule and kept us on track. Excellent choice for DJ to keep your wedding moving all through the night!

Ian played a wide variety of music that got everyone dancing. When the crowd seemed to slow down he adjusted what he was playing to suit them. He was great to work with and took the time to get to know us and the type of music that we like.
