Katy has been there for us every step of the way throughout our pandemic wedding experience. In lieu of our large ceremony in May, we decided to still host a small civil ceremony. Katy was there for us on our big day, and she'll be there for us next year during our large ceremony. Katy captured our day beautifully. The photos are something we will treasure forever. I can't wait until June 2021!

We had an amazing experience working with Katy as our wedding photographer. We came to her with a very untraditional idea to get married at sunrise and she was (to my surprise) very open and excited about it. Our pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. Katy at Icarus photography was absolutely wonderful to work with for our engagement and wedding photography! We had a different sort of wedding in that we did not have attendants and did not do a lot of the lead up photos before the wedding. She was completely willing to work with us exactly as we requested and the photos are amazing! The pricing was also reasonable for the length of time we wanted a photographer at the wedding. She went above and beyond in many ways for which we are very grateful. I would recommend Icarus Photography to anyone looking for an engagement, wedding, or family photographer. I think the best compliment I can give is that I hope Katy continues to photograph families in Bloomington for a long time to come so that I can have her take family photos in the future! I can’t wait for a reason to work with her again!

We worked with Katy for our 9/4/16 wedding, and we couldn't be happier. Katy is very professional, and she's quick to reply to questions and concerns and provide direction--but she's also super nice and makes you comfortable. What we really loved was her style. She's a great blend of photojournalist/artist, and our photos were amazing. Her prices are extremely reasonable, and we loved that she includes so much in them, including a complimentary engagement shoot. Icarus Photography was definitely the right choice for us!

Katy (owner and photographer) is just awesome! Her style of photography is beautiful and she is a great person to work with! Our wedding is in October 2016 but we got our engagement shoot done and we couldn't be happier with the results! Katy responds quickly to her emails and is extremely helpful when your own shoot ideas fall through (we wanted snow but there wasn't too much to play with when the time came). Also her prices are very reasonable, especially for what she provides! I would recommend Icarus for all of my friends!
