Icing on the Lake

My wedding cake was so good guests were texting me the whole following week about it! It looked gorgeous and tasted even better. It’s going to be hard to keep the cake top for a whole year.

Icing on the Lake officially has my business for everything, always. We had our wedding and reception on Friday, 6/29/18 and ordered cupcakes (vanilla/vanilla, almond raspberry, salted caramel, chocolate PB and carrot cake) and a two-tiered cake (vanilla/vanilla). Guests marveled over the cupcakes, even guests from big cities with ultra-posh bakeries. The small two-tiered cake we also ordered was incredible, and as a result my husband and I have turned "leftover wedding cake" into a food group because we cannot bear to see it wasted. Bethany (cake manager) turned our vision into reality and Heidi (owner) was wonderful to work with. Amazing service and product from a local Erie business!

Everyone at Icing on the Lake was so helpful with everything and they made us the most beautiful 5 tiered semi-naked cake! And it was absolutely delicious! We got tons of compliments on it!

Icing on the lake made our absolutely delicious gluten free wedding cake! We wanted a fun, cake that was food allergy friendly, and the staff at Icing on the Lake was quick to help and design. The cake was not only adorable, but also was SO delicious. I do not think that we have ever tasted better wedding cake! The staff was very knowledgable about food allergies, and had so many options for those with limitations. We were so impressed with how accommodating everyone was, how cute the cake was, and especially how delicious! Would absolutely recommend Icing on the Lake for any tasty needs!

We decided on cake pops instead of serving cake, and they were AMAZING!!! Heidi was so helpful with selecting and organizing the entire process. The guests LOVED them and everyone thought it was such a great idea, rather then wasting so much cake that never gets eaten. We had four flavors of cake pops, which were all amazing. They also made us a small cake for us to cut and eat which also turned out beautifully. They worked with me using the photos of inspiration I sent them, and everything turned out just as I had envisioned. Thank you so much!!

We decided to contact Icing on the Lake, even though they seem to be known more for cupcakes. We wanted a 3 tier cake (pretty much the largest they'll do), which they said would feed around 70 people. They made sheet cakes for the remainder of our guests. Everything worked out perfectly with them. Heidi is incredibly sweet and helpful through the whole process, and the cake looked exactly how we wanted it to! We got vanilla cake with caramel filling and salted caramel icing. The caramel filling made it pretty sweet, but everyone loved it. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a smaller cake that will look and taste great.
