With over 15 years of experience in the wedding industry, we have the skill and professionalism to exceed all of your expectations! As a DJ and event designer for the current companies and individuals I have the pleasure of working with, I am always ready to give my clients exactly what they want while applying my own creativity and style. I'm aware that I'm responsible for setting the mood for small and large groups of people at one period of time. With most functions being extremely critical, like weddings, I always make sure that I'm prepared when someone's most important day is in my hands. Being a DJ is not meant for everyone because it takes precise timing, multi-tasking, constant awareness, and a lot of “behind the scenes” work. I'm perfectly fine with that because I love my profession and contributing to a great experience. I work with an awesome team, and our only goal is to have successful events. When it comes to designing events, Ideal Media's aim is to create a masterpiece out of your vision. Services Offered DJ Sound Systems with Microphones, Multi-Colored Party and Effect Lighting, Wireless LED Uplighting, Black Lights and String Lighting, Monogram Design Lighting/Gobo Projection, Karaoke with Catalogs, Sign Up Cards, and a Monitor for Lyrics, White or Black Pipe and Drape for Rooms or Backdrops, Interactive Mirror Photo Booth with Online Gallery and Unlimited Prints, First Dance Cloud Effect, Cold Sparkle Effect, 360 Video Booth, Photography, We have Property and Liability insurance. Load in time is usually 1 - 3 hrs. before your event start time depending on how much equipment we're using. We own a music collection of over 500,000 songs of most genres, and don't mind taking request or creating special playlists. All genres of music including: Top hits from the 1940's to todays hits, Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, Top 40, Pop, Rock, Country, Classical, Cocktail, Motown, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Go-Go, Neo-Soul, Gospel, Kids Songs, Soca/Calypso, Reggae/Dancehall, Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, K-Pop, Holiday Music, Afrobeat, Bhangra, Bollywood, Punjabi, EDM, Trance, Techno, House, Sound Effects, Instrumentals, Sound tracks, Theme Songs, Acapellas, & Remixes, etc. If there's any type of music you're interested in that we don't currently possess, we may be able to purchase it at no extra charge. It's always best to secure your date as early as possible to avoid your DJ or technicians becoming unavailable. The retainer fee is 50% of your total and can be paid by Cash App, Zelle, check, credit/debit, or Paypal. The balance is due any time before the day of your event. Each 1 hour in-person consultation (within 1 hour of P.G. County) is $50 - $100 depending on the distance.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ideal Media! Their services were an integral part of making our wedding day truly magical. The smoke effect for our first dance was breathtaking, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. Our pre-wedding music video looked stunning on the 7x7 projector screen, and the personalized monogram was the perfect touch. The green uplighting added a warm and elegant ambiance to the entire reception. But what truly sets Ideal Media apart is their incredible dedication to their clients. When it looked like our DJ might not show up, Ideal Media stepped in as our backup, willing to save the day if needed to ensure our celebration went off without a hitch. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond exceeded all expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Ideal Media for any event. They are truly the best!

I contacted Ideal with a last minute request for piping. From that first phone conversation to the creation of my beautifully piped lounge seating area, James was amazing! He was responsive, thoughtful as well as quite resourceful when we ran into a problem with the ceiling height. At the end of the day, I couldn’t have been happier with the service or final result! I will most definitely be using Ideal again in the future!!

DJ James was an absolute pro. He was very communicative throughout the whole process and ran the reception very smoothly. He had a great read on the room and got everyone dancing and having a great time. He was so tactful, thoughtful, and exercised amazing judgement and sweetness when the crowd wanted an encore after the last song - he played the perfect closer. The most consistent feedback we’ve gotten is how great DJ James was. Highly recommend him for any event you’re doing because he will be amazing. We had an awesome experience with Ideal Media. He was responsive, professional, and a great DJ! Our guests continue to tell us how great the music was. He played all of our ceremony music perfectly and created a great ambiance for our cocktail hour and dinner with music. All in all a great experience!

James did a FANTASTIC job DJing for my wedding. The thing I was most nervous about was my wedding being awkward because it was only 60 people. We only spoke on the phone once and I gave James a song list but told him to ultimately play whatever whatever he thought the crowd would want --- at a 60 person wedding, the dance floor WAS ALWAYS FULL. He had a great looking set up that would fit in at any type of wedding, and was super easy to work with. I cannot recommend James highly enough. Great price, excellent DJ.

If I could give James a million star rating I would. We choose James based on reading the reviews. The reviews do not give him justice. We wed on 12/2/2017. He was phenomenal. He listen to our request and made sure he executed them. He kept the dance floor packed. From our initial phone call you know he is dedicated to his profession. We have his number stored in our phone for future events. He is the epitome of professionalism.

James (Ideal Media) was our favorite wedding vendor! To start, the price he quoted was great on a custom package. Super low key and easy to work with, he toured the reception property early on with us (even before we had it under contract!), gave advice on lighting and sound, left us an event info survey, then checked in a week before the wedding to remind us to send the survey in, and finally spoke by phone two days before to confirm all the details, right down to the correct pronunciation and order of the wedding party. We had planned on bringing our own 13 uplights, but could not, and he provided it for us with no problem. He arrived the day of, three hours before start time, and had everything set up. We loved the option to put white covers on the sound equipment and James included for free a white lighted frontboard for the DJ table, which he also brought himself. We upgraded to three 15" speakers (worth it!) and a single pipe and drape behind the sweetheart table (worth it!), as well as two party lights. We'd have been fine without the party lights, but they did spice up the dance floor. James' music selections were spot on, and he was able to mix Nigerian and American songs for our international wedding reception seamlessly. The song selections had people on the dance floor for 90 minutes nonstop. People told us later they were tired and still couldn't stop dancing! James was involved throughout the night in coordinating with the photographers and us for updated flow and timing. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service. If you're looking for a DJ who is on the mic all night or one who gets on the dance floor with you, perhaps go elsewhere, but otherwise, James is definitely your man. You won't be disappointed. Awesome experience and top value. Absolutely would use again.

My husband and I knew after our first meeting with James that he was the DJ for us. My husband can be a handful and James was able to roll with us and speak to both our needs. From there he was communicative throughout the process responding within 24/48 hours. We used both lighting and she services and both were ideal! The upkighting for our wedding really wowed us and our guests. James also kept our dance floor packed from start to finish.

If you are looking for beautiful lighting, a responsive and patient vendor, and no fuss--look no further! James was absolutely amazing to work with. We knew we wanted some uplighting for the ceremony/reception and he recommended the number of lights we needed. He also happily worked with us to adjust that number to meet our budget. He was one of our easiest vendors to work with and everything turned out beautifully. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. We hired James to provide DJ/MC services for our wedding in August '15. James was easy to work with, assisted us with the timeline of events, and met us prior to the big day for a walk through. He is very dedicated and proficient in what he does. Moreover, you cannot beat his rates! We would go with James, again and again if we had to do it over.

We used Ideal Media DJHD for lighting during our wedding in August. The lighting really made the room pop and gave it a great elegant atmosphere. Although we had a small space and 20 up-lights were enough, the lights we had were so pretty, I wish we got more to spot/monogram the dance floor. Ideal Media DJHD was very responsive and easy to work with! They were prompt on arriving for setup and although our reception ran over, we were not charged anything extra or pressured to finish up so they could pick-up the lights. Of all the lighting companies I contacted, Ideal Media DJHD was the ONLY company that was willing to negotiate with us on pricing based on our wedding budget, especially since our wedding was on a Friday. Their pricing and overall service was great and I would absolutely use them or refer them for any party/wedding decor.

James at Ideal Media DJHD is second to none. I have been to a lot of weddings where the dance floor goes unused by the guest, the flow of the wedding is not smooth and feels mechanical or guests can simply not understand what the DJ is saying due to bad sound quality. I was worried about all of these things when picking a DJ. James really does know how to keep your guest having a great time on the dance floor, he can read a crowd and plays a great mix of music (romantic, trendy, 80's, international he has it ALL) to keep guest happy and the party going. He is a wonderful master of ceremony as he effortlessly directs the guest to different events. While we had a time line of all the nights events he did not make the party feel rushed and we were able to smoothly go from dinner to dancing to cake cutting ect. with out any awkwardness. We also used James for our lighting and drapes and we could not be happier with how every thing looked. James was very patient through out the whole planning process. He is quick to answer any questions through email and find solutions for problems that arise. Although we used the same ball room for the wedding ceremony and for the reception he was able to make the atmosphere and ambiance of the ball room feel completely different for the two events. The ceremony felt romantic and cozy, while the reception was beautiful, open and fun. The draping and uplights were masterfully done and we has so many compliments on how beautiful everything looked (even by hotel event staff!). We also has him do a gobo light with our names on that shined on the dance floor to add an extra special touch. James is a true professional and knows his weddings, I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know that is looking to make their wedding venue look stunning and for the music/dancing to be a blast.

We could not have been happier with Ideal Media DJHD. Once all the details were ironed out before hand the execution was flawless, we never had to worry once about the DJ after the reception started. Highly recommended.
