JD was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! Once you get on a phone call with him you will realize how professional and amazing at his job he is. We rented his firework/sparkler things and they absolutely stole the show! He even brought his own generator to plug them into outside when we didnt have a nearby outlet! He suggested we do "voiceovers" for our parent dances and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room! It was so special and something I would have never thought of before he suggested it! He truly thought of everything and will make your wedding flow so incredibly! He wasn't just there to do his job he was willing to put some much time, thought, and effort into the planning of the night. Could not recommend enough!

Where do I start?! I’ve known JD for many years, and I have been to several weddings that he has been the DJ. When we got engaged, I knew my wedding date revolved around his availability. We planned on getting married in a barn, and I knew I was in the best hands with JD. We would be moving throughout the barn for different parts of the day, and I knew I had nothing to worry about with regards to speakers, setting up, microphones, etc. He comes hours early to get set up and just knows what needs to be done. He truly is more than just your DJ. Not to mention how professional he is throughout the day. He helps the day run smooth, makes announcements, and keeps everyone on the dance floor. Our dance floor was never empty. Even people I didn’t know danced were out dancing. We had so many compliments on how fun our wedding was.

Where do you even start with JD? The company name says lighting and entertainment but he's so much more. JD is like your own personal wedding coach. Every meeting is spent not only discussing the information he needs, but also just a general check in to see how you're doing - in wedding planning and your personal life. He takes to heart who you are as a couple and goes out of his way to make every part of the process fit you - he even brought his dog along to a meeting with us and our dog at a brewery! The compliments at the wedding were unending. He was easily a highlight of everyone's night. I can't even begin to tell you how many times he checked in with us during the night making sure everything was going how we wanted it to! Hiring JD is an investment, but it will 100% be worth it. I promise.

Where do I even begin with JD! This man is truly truly one of a kind! He made the process of picking out songs and the order of everything so simple! Gave out suggestions and personal opinions when I needed them! He was always available when I needed him or had to ask him something! Very professional! He drove to our place to meet with us face to face! The day of the wedding he would gather the guests on where they needed to go and what was coming next. He played great songs and the guests said he's the best they have seen at a wedding! He helped with anything he could for our day to make it smoother! Just an incredible incredible DJ and man! Wouldn't recommend anyone else for your wedding besides JD!

Ignite was recommended to us by our venue. They displayed their work at our venue's seasonal menu tasting and my parents were really impressed by not only the options of lighting, but the spunk and creativity of JD. JD was beyond helpful in getting exactly what we were looking for in terms of uplighting and pin lights to highlight The View. The overall effect definitely added a warmth to our reception space as the sun went down, and I'm really glad we were able to make this work within our budget.

JD hosted Lee's and my wedding this 2018 at Grand View Lodge. We VERY much appreciated having him as our DJ & entertainer! Having JD as a part of our day was one of the best choices! Everything went off without a hitch. When we got our photos back, his awesome lighting really set the moods and showed up well in pics, and I have great memories of the songs we picked and excitedly thumbs-upping when he played them. We just got tons of compliments on his good music, professionalism, how he kept people dancing, and in general so many people mentioned how nice he is. If you are stressed about planning or worried about decisions in general, let this be the BEST decision you have made. Book him if you can, he will help make your event perfect!!

JD could easily be my favorite vendor we had at our wedding. He was able to keep the crowd moving, accepted requests during the reception and took a major weight off the shoulders of the bride and myself! If you're thinking of requesting a quote or using Ignite as your DJ, don't hesitate, because he's so much more than a DJ. Along with all the things he can bring to your wedding, he makes it extremely easy to manage your songs and introductions via his fantastic website. You wont find a better MC and personality!

Words cannot express how happy we are that JD was a part of our special day. He kept the dance floor packed all night and had the best song transitions and lighting I have ever seen. The night before I asked him if he had any capability of filming our ceremony (assuming it was way last minute but hey- worth a shot) and he did! The morning of the wedding I peeked out the window of the bridal room only to see JD hanging off of a ladder and helping my mom with decorations. I was at a loss for words! JD is clearly someone willing to go above and beyond to make someone’s special day perfect. Worth every single penny and I will be recommending him to everyone! :)

JD is amazing!! He is full of unique ideas that he comes up with based on the couple's interests through meetings he has with you to get to know you as a couple. He is super flexible and is very helpful and puts your mind at ease the day of the wedding. We decided to do a slideshow at the last minute and he created it for us no problem! Such an easygoing, great guy! He not only keeps the music flowing and the dance floor full, but he creates beautiful lighting with all of his awesome gadgets, which he continues to add more to his collection to keep up to date. I can't say enough good things about JD and his company! I HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding!! Our wedding would not have come together if it wasn't for him! Thank you JD for everything you did to help our wedding be wonderful. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude!!

All we can say is perfect, everything he did was perfect and he exceeded our expectations. It's been almost a year since our wedding, and I still think about that night and the fun that every single person was having because of him! He read the crowd, and played music for all ages. Amazing! JD went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. You can tell he loves what he does and that shines through (pun intended) in the service he delivers. He was great to work with throughout the entire planning process and had so many creative ideas. The day of, he was so much more than a "DJ" - he truly made the evening a celebration and event more spectacular than we ever could have imagined. Lighting extraordinaire, masters of ceremony, comedian, music master...and the list goes on.

We met JD at our tasting event through Minneapolis Event Center because he is the preferred vendor for them and boy are we glad that our paths crossed that night! JD was such a joy to be around from that very first meeting that we knew we had to see him again. JD is willing to meet with you and figure out your dream wedding way before the day comes around. On the day of your wedding he is an excellent, professional, knowledgeable Master of Ceremony who keeps the night moving and reads the crowd expertly. JD checked in with my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to make sure everything was going smoothly and cued us in to what was happening next. In addition to his MC and DJ talents JD is able to light up your space with monograms and amazing technology however you like. JD is well-worth the investment and will forever be cherished in our hearts! If we ever have another event like that he is going to be the first person we contact!

JD is Amazing! HE did my sisters wedding a few years ago and when I got engaged I called him before I even picked out a venue because I knew I needed to have him. He is professional, funny and very easy to work with. He kept the night moving along smoothly and played great music. His lighting skills are also top notch. He made my venue warm and inviting. You will not be disappointed with JD!

My husband and I were married on October 14, 2017. JD was one of our first booked vendors. I remember the first time we met him. As we walked out to the car, I looked at my fiancee, now husband, and said, "Well, what do you think?" His response: "Book him." Ha. My husband is a man of few words, but I knew he liked him. We met with JD many, many times throughout the planning process. He even came to our house and dealt with our 3 crazy dogs. He always responded to my emails, and never made me feel that any question was stupid. I love how JD is so personable and easy going. When he met with us, he'd always ask how we were and we'd talk about our lives outside the wedding. He'd even let me vent about things that were stressing me out during the planning process. My husband and I attended a couple weddings prior to ours and noticed things about the DJs that were disappointing. My husband would always look at me and say, "JD would have never let that happen." And he was right. JD hadn't even done our wedding yet, but we knew it would be perfect. Our wedding day was just that, absolutely perfect. I was emailing JD up until the morning of with small things that were changed. It didn't phase him at all. Our officiant was a friend of ours, and had been in touch with JD about a surprise ceremony. It went off without a hitch. He was there early, and had everything set up perfectly. I cried the moment I heard the music I had picked out start as our bridal party walked down the aisle. The ceremony was incredible, the music was perfect, and JD was amazing. It brings tears to my eyes to think back on it. Throughout the night, JD made sure to talk to my husband and me and continued to ensure that we didn't need anything and that we were having a great time. I have taken so long to write this review because I have had a hard time putting into words how appreciative we are for JD and the job he did at our wedding and throughout the entire process. Our families and guests still talk about how great and friendly he was to everyone. I will never be able to thank JD enough for helping us have the perfect wedding day. He's more than a DJ or MC to us; we now consider him a good friend. Thank you a million times over, JD.

Our day was amazing and magical and it was because of JD! He did the most amazing job, but more importantly, he goes above and beyond music. He brought in the most amazing lighting that completely transformed our venue! He's so personable and friendly and just so fun to work with! He pumped our guests and kept them on the dance floor all night long. I can't say enough wonderful things about JD. I would hire him again in a second and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, fun, outgoing, energetic DJ who adds way more value than music. :)

JD is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! He deserves 5 stars for all 5 categories in this review. We simply can't thank him for everything he did to truly make our wedding day unique and special! We had an ALL outdoor wedding with a large tent for the reception and JD's ability & expertise with lighting certainly helped elevate the esthetics within the tent. He was able to produce a distinguished and unique look specific to our theme. JD is also an exceptional DJ/Master of Ceremonies and kept everyone on the dance floor all night (and beyond). He made certain that our day ran smoothly from the rehearsal all the way to the final dance – always keeping his finger on the pulse and never missing a beat. JD remained in contact with all of our other vendors – keeping everyone on the same page as well as always keeping in contact with us (the clients) throughout our entire planning process. He is worth every penny that you spend on him and goes above and beyond. Because of JD, we had our dream wedding. He really made our day fantastic and we can't thank him enough for that and for alleviating a TON of stresses!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. JD is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC at his job. I can't express enough how amazing he is at lighting and also at DJing. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and also kept our day running smoothly. He always had an eye out for what was going on throughout the day and sped things along if needed or slowed us down as needed. Working with Ignite Lighting & Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made on our wedding day. JD was an incredible support to us throughout the entire planning process. On our wedding day I knew that I could count on him. He was more than prepared, on time, and very professional. Hands down the best DJ, MC, and lighting technician!!!!!! JD made our wedding something to talk about!! JD warmed up the dining room with fantastic lighting for dinner and changed the mood lighting for the dance. His music selections kept the dance floor full the entire night!!!!

My husband and I wanted to have a very fun, personal ceremony/reception and boy did JD deliver. We first met JD at a friend's wedding and we were so impressed by his ideas & how smooth the reception flowed. He provided the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, MC'd the whole reception, put together our slideshow & provided the lighting. He also traveled several hours to meet us at our venue months before the wedding to go over details. He is such a professional & friendly person to work with. We've had so many compliments from guests on how great he was. You will not regret booking him!

Hiring JD for our wedding was truly the best decision we made throughout this entire process. He is professional, knowledgable, responsive, articulate, and had so many great ideas for us to choose from to make our reception stand out. He made the most wonderful slideshow and introductions and truly made our night personal, special and unique. Numerous people told us that our wedding was one of the best they had ever been at and nearly all the compliments we got throughout our reception were about something JD had done for us. He made our reception something that we will remember for the rest of our lives and we are truly so grateful for all he did. He is worth every penny and more.

We HIGHLY recommend JD if you are able to book him. Our guests were on the dance floor the whole night! He is experienced and professional. The venue even commented on how well he was able to keep the party going. Luckily we booked him for a Sunday wedding, so we were able to receive a nice discount, but he's worth every penny of the regular pricing too!!

JD was amazing! We booked him kind of last minute because we had a short engagement and we were lucky enough that he was available for our date. He was great! He made our reception wonderful and so fun! He has a great personality that was easy to work with. His lighting was SO BEAUTIFUL! The room looked exactly as I imagined. I wish we would had more time to work with him because he had a lot more ideas that with a little more time, would have been wonderful to work into our reception. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone. So professional and so fun!

JD asked us in our first meeting to use three words we wanted our guests to use when describing our wedding, and through the process of having JD as our Master of Ceremonies and DJ, we found three words to describe him: professional, supportive, and creative! He was unbelievably professional! He responded promptly to emails and made time to meet with us personally. At the wedding, many guests commented to us how professional JD was in his suit! Our guests also loved his fun personality and he was very courteous of their requests. He served as a Master of Ceremonies and kept the night running smoothly to our plan. JD was also very supportive in helping plan our wedding. Many friends of ours are getting married and through our conversations with them, I've learned how much JD helped us in planning a great wedding! He isn't just a guy who plays classic hits, he has the experience and knows what works! He helped us plan our whole reception from start to finish! It felt great and took so much stress off of us! We were confident in JD helping us throw our party, and even when I got scared that I wasn't ahead of planning our day or our wedding wasn't special, JD came through and helped ease my nerves! You can't put a price on that when planning the biggest party of your life! JD was open to our ideas and helped us incorporate our lives into the party. He has many creative ideas that helped open our eyes and "wow-ed" our guests. He suggested a video love story that had the whole place crying! He also helped us write introductions for our wedding party and run our sports gauntlet kiss activity! JD also provided lighting for the event that helped pull everything together! Many guests commented on how fancy the venue looked with his lighting techniques. His creativity was essential in helping us throw our party that was memorable, classy, and fun!

My husband and I sat down and went over the basics in the very beginning. The first question I asked him was: “do you want something small and intimate or a big party”. His answer was big party. Throughout the whole planning process, all he cared about was the atmosphere of the evening. Although you may be think, “We need to hire a DJ”, it’s more than that. There’s a difference between a DJ and a Master of Ceremonies and we’ve been to enough weddings to know the difference. JD brings another level to your wedding. He’s a fun guy and great showman. I think a lot of people can buy the equipment and throw a playlist together, but JD brings the entertainment to another level. We didn’t need to rent a photo booth or any of those other shenanigans in order to entertain our guest; JD had everyone dancing throughout the night! In fact, we had bar games (life size jenga, ext.) in the corner of the ballroom, but everyone was on the dance floor! From the beginning of the night he directed our guests to find their tables, kept our schedule on track for toasts, and put together one of the best first dances many of our guests had ever seen. It set the tone for the night and everyone was laughing, crying (the good kind), and dancing till the lights came on. Our first dance was something I’m still hearing about. A lot of people are doing videos where the bride and groom are asked questions about the other and the cutesy answers are revealed the night of. We did things a little differently with a “First dance love story”. My husband and I took turns on a voice recorder answering questions like “how did you first meet”, “When did you know they were the one”, and so on. He took our best answers and dubbed them over our first dance song. There are very few times people stop and intently watch the first dance at weddings (this is usually the cue to go to the bar right?), everyone was standing around the dance floor watching. I could hear all of the awes in the crowd as my husband’s answers came on… he even surprised me with the answers he gave. I heard so many women say they cried during it and men told me “It was so cool”. It brought a common tradition to another level. JD spent the entire night making sure every song we wanted to play had been put in. It was perfect. I’m so glad we booked him. He made the night everything my husband asked for and then some! He has several different add-ons to choose from, but his basic package is more than reasonable. We ended up using him for full up lighting and GOBO design which was an extra cost, but very reasonable considered to other vendors. Did I mention he met with us in Milwaukee, WI, where we live, so that we could iron out details? I would recommend JD to anyone who wants an unforgettable party!!

JD exceeded all our expectations for our wedding! We live three hours away from JD and our wedding venue and we were having a tough time finding a day that we could come and meet with JD. JD had a really easy solution... He drove to us and this was just for an initial consultation (we hadn't even signed a contract yet)! Not only was JD very professional and easy to work with, but he also had some really cool ideas to make our wedding unique. JD did all the ceremony music and reception entertainment on the day of our wedding and everything went off without a hitch. We've received a lot of compliments on how smoothly our wedding went and DJ was a big part of that. I'd highly recommend JD to anyone looking for quality and fun entertainment!!!

We shopped around the Eau Claire, WI area to meet with several DJ's/DJ services. JD was the only one (out of 3 or 4 meetings) who actually asked us what we want our wedding day/night to look like. All the others just handed us a sheet of check boxes next to what equipment we want to rent and which pre-selected songs we wanted played. JD had a very professional yet personable approach. All of our discussions were two-way communications about how to achieve our perfect wedding while being realistic. JD was the perfect total package: He had the sound equipment, he had the up-lighting (which made the night a million times better), he had guides to help us stay organized, and he was the master of ceremonies coordinating our night and making sure things and people were where they needed to be. We had a fairly non-traditional wedding and JD was there to support us and our requests all the way. Due to circumstances, we got an extra hour of reception time from our venue and JD surprised us by playing that extra hour for free! A few of our guests had requests for music that JD didn't have in his library. He proceeded to download those songs and they were played within the next few tracks. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor. He read the crowd and reacted to keep the night alive. I can't say enough about JD. He was professional, courteous, a value-add to the Wedding Couple/Photographer/Venue/DJ team that was critical to making our night. He took our input and gave great suggestions. Our first meeting he gave us a hardcover "How to make a great wedding reception" book that we used as a guide in creating our perfect night. We received so much good feedback from our guests and the ones getting married soon asked how to get in contact with him. We would use him for any event we have in Eau Claire.

As a 20+ year veteran of the nightclub and restaurant business in Chicago I had very high standards for our DJ. JD blew all of those expectations out of the water. He was: 1. Professional - this guy like to dress up and host a party! 2. Organized - Holy smokes! His materials to get you from point A to point Z are incredibly thorough and when you have a question he responds quickly - giving suggestions and helping you through the process as you plan the wedding. 3. Entertaining! JD interacted with our guests throughout the reception. This took a considerable amount of pressure off of my bride and I and allowed us to enjoy the reception that much more. 4. Responsive. (I hope my mom doesn't see this!) When we had a couple on the floor (my mother and I) that just weren't in step, a quick signal to JD brought the dance to a nice, comfortable close. Everybody was happy and JD understood exactly what was needed. This guy is top notch! Melissa, myself, and just about everyone in the room that night would recommend JD for any wedding or corporate event. If I could give this guy 10 stars I would.

If I could give JD Fisher a million star rating instead of 5 I would! He is the most friendly, professional and fun DJ out there! We were recommended to him by a friend as affordable, their guests couldn’t stop raving about him, and that he was really helpful---BOY WERE THEY RIGHT! Now I’m the one recommending him to others. He made our wedding day so much more memorable---great ideas for making the reception unique and funny entrance ideas for the grand march! He will help you with every step of the process, even by coordinating with your other vendors to make sure everything works together. He has a great sense of humor, is willing to meet with you on your schedule and will bend over backwards to do everything perfectly! If available, pick him over any other DJ---he will NOT disappoint. If he doesn’t have songs you are looking for, he will get them, if he needs to meet with you last minute or reschedule appointments to do so, he will do it! He is a huge stress relief during one of the most stressful planning experiences of every bride’s life. He also does uplighting which are those colored lights along the wall in your wedding colors---that definitely dresses up even the most budget friendly of places making it look that much more special!

JD Fischer from Midwest Entertainment did an AWESOME job at our wedding. He played everything we asked him to and more. We even had him help us with our crazy "guess the year of the song" kissing game. Everything was great and we received so many compliments after the reception. Truly a winner!

After an extensive search JD was the first DJ that my husband and I liked and felt good about. He was able to do everything that we requested and made our day turn out perfect!

Working with JD and Midwest Entertainment was the best choice my husband and I made for the whole wedding reception. He was professional and made an effort to make the night fit our personality. He was attentive to the audience-- he changed the song if it seemed that people were leaving the floor. He incorporated activities for kids.
