An internationally recognized instructor and mentor, Calvert has taught programs across the United States, Holland, Mexico and Australia, and was this year’s judge for the prestigious PHS Philadelphia Flower Show. Calvert has trained and coached thousands of students on how to work in the floral industry with top designers, start new businesses, or reorganize existing floral businesses into thriving careers.

about but they remained patient and graceful with us! We were coming from out of state and couldn’t make the trip to try the food before the wedding but it was to die for, the juiciest chicken and tender salmon I’d ever had in my life. We also had a special chickpea veggie option suggested and prepared by the venue. The venue was largely decorated with flowers and trees and great ambiance lighting and the rooftop had spectacular views of Hudson Yards and World One Trade Center. For dessert Francesca helped us coordinate with a vendor in Italy that was able to import our selected desserts and make a grand entrance with them. The venue was clean and had lots of elegant and fun character, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was so wonderfully organized from afar, I had 0 worries the day of the wedding and my husband and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. 10/10 I would get married here again and again and would recommend others consider marrying here too. I was blown away. Everything was beautiful, music was on, everything was set up better than I could have even wanted. Sasha was extremely communicative and introduced me to the captain for the night, Dustin who was also incredible. The food came out promptly and was AMAZING. Everyone wanted to know where I found this great venue and wants to host their next event there as well.
We have hosted in various places, that are honestly more expensive, and did not even come close to as wonderful as ILA Penthouse.
If you're looking for a dinner or an event venue, this is the place. Easy to get to, amazing value and just a wonderful experience overall.
