Shannon was a pleasure to work with since day 1! I probably decided to have my wedding at the Deering Estate when I saw their catalogue and a picture of their courtyard with Illumene`s bistro lights. We went to the venue, decided on our date and all I could picture was having dinner under those cozy, romantic lights – which was exactly what we had. Illumene also did the up lighting of the stone house and cocktail hour and we couldn`t be happier. The day of the wedding the rental company from whom we had rented a tent didn`t deliver and we had to inform Shannon last minute, which was never a problem for them! They are efficient, responsive and reliable. The ideal vendor to have: no maintenance, no reminders needed and only great things to talk about them. As a bonus, in our first call Shannon told us about his sister company, Liquid DJs, and we ended up doing a package with them – which also helped a lot in the budget and simplified the planning. Super recommended – try the package if you can. Will save you time and money + the bonus of a smooth wedding day & amazing result! THANK YOU Shannon!!!!!

My husband and I got married at 6:30 in the middle of January so it was already dark out when I walked down the aisle and illumene made sure everyone could see us perfectly. The cafe string lighting for our outdoor reception made our venue look like a beautiful garden. We could not stop gushing about how beautiful they made everything look. Shannon and the team were prompt and professional in every email and phone call we had. They were absolutely amazing

The most amazing and experienced lighting vendor at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens by far! When we came to Miami from overseas to see our venue, we fell in love with it instantly and couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Little did we know, how challenging this venue actually was. You need a team of real experts to make sure that everything runs smoothly there. Shannon and his guys are that perfect team. We met with a few lighting companies and even one DJ company that were trying to sell us a lighting package but I'm so happy we went with ILLUMENE. Shannon had so many creative ideas for us and wanted to make sure that my vision for lighting was executed to perfection. You could see that he really knows his stuff. We had like a million tiny lights (fairy lights) covering the ceiling of a see-through tent at Vizcaya, it looked out of this world beautiful. Our guests were wowed by our beautiful lighting design. We couldn't have been more proud of the style we chose and the level of execution that Illumene delivered. Also, someone mentioned here that they offer big candles. Get them if you can afford them! Ours were decorating the aisle and it looked phenomenal. One of my favorite vendors ever! You can't go wrong booking them.

Ordered giant candles for my engagement party from this company. They provided such beautiful warm glow for the outside area. Booking and communicating with the team at Illumene was very easy as well.

This is a long time overdo but hey life happens. "Wow, the best ever!" falls a bit short when describing Shannon and Greg. I had this crazy vision of creating a soft warm aquatic feel to my wedding. In short I wanted the room to look like the opening of the little mermaid. Yes my obsession of the Little Mermaid transfered to my wedding theme, don't judge. While explaining said childhood vision to the team at Illumene and my lighting budget they simply said no problem. I quickly had an itemized quote with optional upgrades, which was awesome. I like to know where my money is going, line item by line item. I didn't appreciate blanket quotes, they are confusing to say the least. Shannon and Greg took the time to not only explain the equipment they were bringing but showed me what it would look like. I now understood what a gobo was and how breakout patterns transform a room to look like a coral reef. Working with them was one of the highlights of planning my wedding. When I would leave them crazy voicemails with random questions at ungodly hours. They would call me back cracking Star Wars jokes to ease my anxiety. To simply put it these amazing miracle workers dealt with my crazy and created a magical experience for my wedding. I knew lighting was an area that was going to be a bigger ticket item on my budget but this experience was priceless.

We loved our lighting so much! The team at Illumene went above and beyond for us and even made a custom lighting setup for our ceremony. We requested for chandeliers to be hung from the trees, it was spectacular. They communicated with other vendors including my florist and were so easy to work with. My favorite vendor for sure.

Fantastic lighting! I had my wedding at Vizcaya and I couldn't have dreamed about it turning out more beautiful. We had 8 big chandeliers and lighting in the tent as well as large candles to decorate pathways of Vizcaya garden. The place looked magical, we got so many complements from our guests and I can't wait to see professional photos. I highly recommend this company!

I had an extremely long time to plan my wedding and have family in the wedding industry so I did a ton of research for my own wedding. I did not use this vendor, but I called on two separate occasions asking for quotes and they are so outrageous I had to warn future brides. For a job that I was quoted less than 2k for at one vendor, he said it would be at least 8-9k. On a separate occasion he quoted 5600 to hang string lights in a tent. Again, I didn't use him so they may do a very nice job but they are over FIVE TIMES the price of smaller, local vendors.

Shannon and his team were AMAZING! Everything prior to and during our wedding was handled professionally! The string lighting was absolutely beautiful. Illumene was one of the first and, ultimately, easiest vendors to work with that we booked. Thank you so much!

We hired them and hoped they would make our wedding perfect but unfortunately they did not deliver. The people that set it up brought the wrong lights and wrong colors. We had to work with what we had at hand. So unfortunately we cannot recommend them.

I always say....it's all about the lighting! Lighting has the power to set the mood of your event and add that special ambiance that no amount of flowers can do! For me it was a no brainer that lighting would definitely be in my wedding budget. My dream had always been to bistro/market lighting to complete the look of my outdoor wedding. I sought the company that had been referred to me by Deering Estate. If you've ever seen the cover of their brochure, Illumene was responsible for the amazing lighting and when I was told who the company was and that they were the best, I knew I had to have them! Their bistro lights, chandeliers, and pink up lighting was one of my top favorite things about my wedding. Shannon was great to work and the pricing was relatively reasonable. I totally recommend Illumene and their sister company, Liquid Djs. They were awesome!
