Michael and his crew were an absolute delight! From the day we came to tour the venue we knew this was the place. We toured 5 others but this one had us locked in. Very beautiful interior with a full glam room with three full vanities with Hollywood lights and a separate private room to get dressed in and hang out formal wear. Our hair stylist couldn’t believe it and never saw anything like it. Perfect venue for separate cocktail hour and reception. They provide their own valet and security as well. Part of the proceeds go back to JAFCO which is such a great cause.
Michael and the Illuminate team were absolutely amazing! From the first tour to the wedding day, Michael was very responsive and was always there to answer our questions. He would even give us advice and custom recommendations to make our wedding dream come to life. The venue itself is modern very high-tech. It even has a full kitchen for catering and a bridal suite. We also like that the money for the venue rental goes toward its neighboring nonprofit, JAFCO. We highly recommend this venue and team!

Step inside of Illuminate in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and find a unique wedding venue filled with light and love for your event. Our totally unique event venue is the only venue with a cause. This means while you are celebrating your once-in-a-lifetime event, you will also be changing the world for children who have disabilities, as all proceeds directly fund our life-saving programs at our JAFCO Children’s Ability Center. Our venue is available for any celebration including bar/bat mitzvahs and teen celebrations, weddings and special lifetime moments, social events, and corporate events. Your limo can drop you off at our celebrity entrance to your private VIP Bridal suite— complete with a Hollywood style make-up bar where you can relax and enjoy champagne with friends and family as they help you get ready for your big day.
Facilities and Capacity
At Illuminate, you will be surrounded by a canvas of 10,000 square feet of event space. Your guests will enter through our pre-event bar and lounge, and will be immediately immersed in the incredible light sculpture installation created by artist Mads Christenson. Our venue includes a 20-foot-long white marble bar for your signature drinks and wine service, with space for appetizers, refreshments, and more. The main ballroom can be divided into three spaces to include a ceremony, reception, and celebration at the end of the night. Our venue provides the perfect place for you and up to 300 of your special guests to mingle, enjoy fabulous food, and dance the night away. You are welcome to use our built-in sound and audio-visual system for music, toasts, and heartwarming speeches, as well as project crystal clear video and photo montages. Our facilities provide furniture, including stools, chairs, chair covers, tables, and customizable LED lighting. With complete flexibility and creativity at your disposal, this dynamic space comes to life with our wall-to-ceiling lighting system.

Our team is happy to help you create your dream wedding with experienced coordinators that are available to assist you as you plan your event from start to finish. We offer a range of all-inclusive packages and can provide a list of our top vendors to match your budget and taste. These referrals include caterers, florists, decor, valet services, and more. You may also choose to bring your own vendors, as we do work with vendors with liability insurance. In addition to these event services, we are known as the "venue for a cause" because all proceeds from your special day directly fund our programs at our JAFCO Children’s Ability Center, providing support and care for children with special needs.

Events Director
Michael J. Moran began his culinary career at the Culinary Institute of America where he graduated with the prestigious Keating Award, voted “student most likely to succeed.” Immediately after graduation Michael was selected as the Executive Chef for Jordanian monarchs King Hussein and Queen Noor. Upon his return to the United States, Michael continued his culinary career at several notable Miami restaurants before becoming a professor at the Florida International University Chaplain School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
