Ily Grantham Photography

My husband, family, and I are so happy that we worked with Ily to capture our engagement, wedding, and bridal photos. Ily is talented behind the lens and a joy to work with. It rained on our wedding day, and Ily was still able to take beautiful photos with creativity and charm. Unfortunately, we were of the few weddings that were lost due to failure of equipment. It was devastating, but Ily was honest, sympathetic, and flexible with us through the whole process. We still received many beautiful photos from the wedding and later went to take additional bridal photos. The photos were simply stunning! If you are looking for a photographer who genuinely loves her job and her clients, and is able to work with any conditions thrown at her, Ily is your gal!

The overall experience with Ily was not a great one. I couldn't get a return call before the wedding, If I called her she would respond via text after a week or two. Ily was a wedding gift from my sister, who kept vouching for Ily. I was so overwhelmed with the planning of the wedding I let it go and let my sister handle it. Big mistake I should of listened to my instinct. In fact I hadn't even heard from Ily prior to my wedding and the day before my wedding I wasn't even sure if she was going to show up or not. The day of the wedding didn't get any better. Ily was rude to my guest and my family. When we requested for certain pictures to be taken she gave us push back and acted irritated. She had her own agenda and her ways set of what pictures she wanted to take. Not sure how she has so many good reviews. I don't believe I would be the only person that had a bad experience. Maybe its because the outcome afterwards was great and the brides forgot all the negative after they received their pictures. However, in my case I didn't get any photos. After reaching out several times with no response, I received a cold and impersonal email from Ily stating she lost all of my pictures due to her hard drive failing. I have been lost for words... I don't understand how this happens... a professional someone offering a business has no backup. Why were the pictures deleted from the memory card before backing them up and making sure they were backed up properly. I will never get this day back and now I have nothing! I can't believe that someone in this line of business can be so careless, rude and dishonest. Ily knew she had lost my pictures and still told me that they would be available within 60 days. she waited the full 60 days to turn around and send me a cold email with the heartbreaking news. No call nothing... I wouldn't recommend her services to anyone!

On 10/21/2015 Ily Grantham Photography was the sole photographer for my wedding. Those wedding photos have since been lost due to "a hard drive failure" and I was not informed of this for over a month, and only after asking several times for an update. Before informing me of this she had tried to pass off a video still (screenshot of me in a video) as her professional work. She later explained to me that her hard drive had stopped working and that she just did not notice that she wasn't making backups. Before taking the drive to a professional recovery service, Ily Grantham and her husband took it upon themselves to open the hard drive, without the proper equipment making it less likely for the data to be successfully recovered. I have since been in contact with the data recovery service which informed me that the drive was dropped or knocked over and that the images on that drive have no chance of being recovered. In my last correspondences with her she made an insulting offer to pay the venue $200 for a re-shoot and asked me to sign a confidentially agreement to not discuss our business dealings. I did not sign the agreement. From working with Ily Grantham, I have learned that she operates under false, misleading and deceptive business practices. I have caught her in several lies in addition to the fact that she was not transparent or forthcoming with the truth. In hindsight, I find it strange that Ily Grantham Photography does not have any negative reviews but this may be due to the fact that she offered me $200 to sign a confidentiality agreement.
