has such creative ideas, such patience, such warm energy, and an incredible work ethic.
We had some strange requirements, like 10 minutes where there needed to be complete darkness and a quality picture of us with something that was glowing. (It's totally normal to use luminol as your unity candle, right?).
Carolyn made accommodations, planned ahead, and that important piece of our story looks wonderful. I don't think most photographers would even be willing to try this, much be able to pull it off with such success.
On that note, wedding days go by so fast and then they're over. Our day is chronologically documented. We have over 400 photos to cherish- not just of ourselves- she took beautiful candid pictures of our friends and their family that show true beauty and emotion in the moment.
This was my first time planning a large event and I am not well-versed in wedding processes and traditions, nor am I a traditional person myself. Carolyn's suggested photography timeline also helped me know what a wedding day should and could look like in the first place!
While I'm listing wonderful things, she also worked to learn the names of all of our family members in advance. It is special to have a photographer who knows the names of your cousins, your in-laws, your wedding party… I can't speak highly enough about Carolyn and 406 Photography.

lutely exquisite style of photography were exactly what we were looking for when it came to documenting our wedding day. Both our engagement photo shoot in October and our wedding day in May decided to surprise us with cloudy skies, cool weather, and rain (you've gotta love Montana!), but Carolyn was able to persevere in spite of this and captured hundreds of gorgeous images that we will treasure forever. hing about her photo display kept drawing me back to her booth. You can’t ignore your gut! We booked her and she did our engagement shoot in 2016 and then our wedding in 2017.
We were “blessed” with a horrible rainstorm on our wedding day. Carolyn took the most gorgeous pictures of us after the storm when the sun was breaking through the clouds. She truly understands lighting. She captured the entire day perfectly from getting ready in the morning to dancing into the night. We treasure our photos and look at them frequently. It was almost impossible to chose our favorites for the album she created for us.
We developed such a connection with Carolyn that she has become our go to photographer for all of our milestones, including our daughter’s newborn photos and then her 1 year old photos. You won’t be disappointed when you hire her.
