Since our wedding I cannot stop singing Amanda’s praise- our photos not only turned out INCREDIBLE but we had them all by the following week, wow! So many of our friends have told us they are the most beautiful wedding photographs they have ever seen. We cannot wait to use her again for other important moments in our life!

Manda was an amazing photographer and went out of her way to make sure she got the shot no matter the weather. Is it pouring down rain? No problem? Few photographers would go to the lengths she did to get the perfect shot.

Amanda is an amazing photographer! She is extremely creative and hard working. I would recommend her to anyone ten times over. She listens to what you want even when the request might be a bit quirky. I cannot say enough good things about her. My pictures were gorgeous and met my high standards. Amanda is such a talented photographer and super sweet to work with. She has done a beautiful job with other family events and I knew we had to have her for ours! Amanda is an amazing photographer. She photographed our wedding and engagement after doing the same for both of my husband's siblings. She is responsive and very sweet - great to work with. Her photographs are creative and beautiful - plus she takes a lot of them! She is also very quick - it was fantastic to get our pictures right after coming home from our honeymoon - less than 10 days after our wedding! Amanda's photos are prints-rights-released and she does provide one download without the watermarks - something to definitely look for as you shop around. Though I would still recommend going to her for prints. We ordered a 16 x 20 print of an engagement picture which we displayed at our reception. The quality and clarity were beautiful, and the price was reasonable. Can't say enough good things about Amanda - you will enjoy working with her and you will love how she captures your day.

We could not be more thrilled with how our photos turned out and have received nothing but compliments from our friends and family regarding the photos. We loved everything Amanda did for us. Amanda was awesomely discrete and very good at manipulating the environment with being visible. I HATE having my picture taken and she made both myself and my groom feel very comfortable. We purchased the four hour plan and in this time she captured 700+ photos of excellent quality. We had a number of pictures available to us within days, via Facebook, and the remainder of the photos were sent within 10 days, directly to our home, safety on a thumb drive. An acquaintance of mine was married the same day and her pictures didn't start trickling in to her for 5 weeks! My husband was so impressed with Amanda and with the quality of her work that he is requesting she take our pregnancy photos and baby photos, as well. She is well worth the cost and I would recommend her to anyone who asked.

Amanda was so, so wonderful. From the moment we first met with her she was fantastic. She was fabulous throughout the entire process, and handled the crazy on the day of with grace. Our pictures turned out perfect, and I hope to be able to use her again someday for family photos!

I am extremely pleased with the photographs taken by Amanda. We did not provide her with much direction other than that we wanted the photos to look natural. What an amazing photographer! We were sold on day one when we first met Amanda. She was so professional and knew exactly what questions to ask. The pictures turned out amazing. My husband and I were so happy with Amanda as our photographer. She was fun to work with and always prompt and helpful in her communication. She blended seamlessly into our wedding day, always there for the big moments and to help us capture certain artistic elements of our venue, but never in a distracting way. Amanda was great at our wedding in September! She really knew what she was doing, and she asked my preferences about how I wanted to do certain photos prior to the wedding, some of the things I hadn't even thought of (and I'm a pretty thorough bride). She did the many specific shots I requested, as well as many more. We didn't hire an assistant due to budgetary restraints. We were a bit concerned that there wouldn't be enough coverage, but we still wound up with a LOT of photos! She was so speedy in putting the online gallery up, we were still on our honeymoon when we got the email alert! We've still been too busy to order prints, but we've seen the photos, and they look fabulous, especially the traditional formal shoot.

Amanda took our save the date pictures and we could not be happier with how they turned out. We got married last weekend and I cannot wait to see how the pictures turned out. We just viewed our engagement pictures and absolutely love them! Amanda is very easy to work with, and answers promptly. She is down to earth and funny making us feel very comfortable. The package prices are very reasonable compared to others... Especially including two photographers. We couldn't be more excited and looking forward to working with her on our wedding day!

Amanda is like a ninja! She started shooting right away as I stepped out of the car and was greeting relatives. She quietly moved around and no one even noticed she was there. When we received our photos, I was pleasantly surprised to note that she had single-handedly captured shots of not only the front of my dad walking me down the aisle, but the back of us as well. She took photos from the sides of the church, from the aisle, and from the choir loft during our ceremony, and wasn't distracting at all. She got pictures of all the little details, including the ceiling and door to the church. She was happy to accommodate shot requests, even when my friend asked her to take a picture of the sunset through the cake topper. She was thrilled to work with us on some of our more offbeat ideas. She both stood on a chair and climbed a tree on our wedding day to get the perfect angle for our pictures. We now have our special day captured in over 700 images, which are priceless to us.

My husband and I used Amkar Photography in conjunction with a second photographer (who actually took our photos on the day of our wedding). Amanda is working with us to edit our photos and provide digital proofs of our wedding day photos. She has been super professional and very helpful through the whole process. She will be getting our prints done as well. While we were going through our proofs, she conveniently provided information regarding the creation of a wedding album in order to help us better pick our favorites. I'd definitely use Amkar Photography again! :)

Amanda Kar of Amkar Photography was a fantastic photographer for our winter wedding. She was very flexible in meeting with us a few times before the ceremony and was always prompt with her email responses. Amanda is straightforward, kind, creative, and quick on her feet. Given that our wedding took place in the middle of February, she was ready for anything, weatherwise -- that 'anything' ended up being sub-freezing temperatures with some leftover snow still on the ground. Our outdoor photo session between the wedding and reception was a blast -- we were completely freezing, but Amanda talked us through the cold, took our minds off of it, and made the experience totally bearable and fun. We'll cherish those pictures with our bright red ears, fingers, and noses forever. If you're planning a winter wedding, Amanda is a trooper in cold weather, and she'll make sure everyone's back inside before frostbite starts to set in! And even though the skies were gloomy and gray, the pictures looked beautiful. We were thrilled with all of the pictures from all aspects of the wedding day. I can't imagine using another photographer. We had met with a few other photographers before Amanda that just didn't click with our personalities and styles, but we knew when we met Amanda that she was definitely the right photographer for us. She was also the most affordable of the options we had explored, and tacked an extra hour of service on our wedding day for free since we chose not to do an engagement session. Last but not least, Amanda's graphic design skills really make her stand out as a unique and skilled photographer in the St. Louis area. Her book designs and layouts are beautiful. We're still saving up to order one eventually, but in the meantime, we have the custom-designed DVD of pictures and DVD case that Amanda sent us after the wedding. The design and pictures that she chose are stunning, and the DVD is a really special keepsake of our wedding day. Amanda has mentioned in her monthly email that she is transitioning from DVDs to thumbdrives for pictures, so as to keep up with the technological trends. Overall, I can't say enough good things about Amanda and her photography skills, professionalism, and personality. I severely procrastinated in writing this review and am well outside of the window for receiving any kind of incentive from Amanda, so please know that this review is completely sincere and that I honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience! Amanda was so professional with such a creative eye. My experiences with her were always enjoyable and my husband and I were very impressed with our engagement and wedding photos. I only gave her a few likes and dislikes when it came to the types of pictures we would like her to capture and she did the rest. No matter what your style is, she will capture the moments perfectly. We will recommend her to anyone and use her again for other professional photography needs.

Amkar Photography was simply the best! Amanda was super personable and great to work with! Our photos are amazing and the album she just did for us is beautiful!! Everyone said how great she was and she stayed the whole night taking photos. No one ever saw her, but she got terrific shots! Our outside photos are amazing! We had a lot of fun taking these because Amanda had great ideas about fun, creative poses. We did some awesome lifting ones where my husband carried me and it looked perfect. Really imaginative! She got the exact style we wanted! Amanda was great to work with and we definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an awesome photographer!! She was wonderful beginning to end!

We used Amanda for our wedding and the shots turned out amazing. A DVD was included in our package, so we actually got to see all of pictures (which other photographers were not offering). There were SO many pictures! Since we received the rights to the photos as well, this turned out to be an amazing value. I have to say that she really knows her stuff. By our first meeting, she had already researched the angle/timing of the sunset, etc and had a plan for capturing all the right moments with the right lighting. She also had some innovative ideas for using the facility's features to create interesting angles and photo composition. Originally, I had planned on spending a little less on a photographer, but all my friends and family convinced me that this is one area where I should dedicate some of our budget. I am a bit of a deal hunter and it was difficult for me to (gasp!) pay retail. I am so glad I did! The pictures are amazing and worth every penny!

We cannot wait for our wedding and the pictures! We have only had our engagement session so far, but Amanda is very accommodating and not only understood our crazy ideas but embraced them. We had our engagement pictures turned into a guest book and we are very happy with how it turned out. It really tells a story about the day, Also Amkar's pricing is very affordable and much less than other vendors but the work is top notch. Amanda really cares about her pictures and you can tell by the work she puts into getting to know you. Can't wait until September!

I found Amanda while doing research on photographers in St. Louis to photograph my engagement session as well as my wedding. I needed to find someone who had that artistic and unique style I was looking for while being within my budget. Amkar has not only lived up to my expectations for all of my pictures so far, but she is incredibly affordable too!! Would do it all over again in a heartbeat! We had the hardest time finding a photographer that got our vision but was in our price range for our engagement shoot, and were so excited when we found Amanda/ Amkar. We did a vintage aviation themed engagement shoot, and we could tell right from the start that Amanda "got it." She was super relaxed, which helped us not be nervous, and she had lots of fun/ creative ideas (and even brought her own vintage camera that we used as a prop), and it all turned out so well. We absolutely loved all of the pictures from our shoot, and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for engagement or wedding pictures in the St. Louis area.

It amazed me how Amanda can take a simple situation and turn it into photographic art. Our reception was at Busch Stadium so I think the initial thought is to take a lot of pictures of baseball-themed objects. Amanda took the location and turned it into a beautiful landscape, with pictures that not only captured the moment but that made the stadium simply a backdrop and not a central focus, which is what I wanted in my photos. Reviewing all my pics afterward was breathtaking. While I was busy running around at the wedding, doing bride-y things, she was taking beautiful pictures that resulted in beautiful memories.

Amanda did a fantastic job during our engagement shoot in May. She was very professional and friendly, and our photos all turned out great! My fiance and I are both a little camera shy, but Amanda put us both at ease and we had a great time during out shoot. Our photos were also available less than two weeks after our engagement shoot, and they all turned out great. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great wedding photographer!

We recently had our Engagement pictures done with Amanda and couldn't be happier. They were beautiful and exactly what we wanted. My wife Rachel and I enlisted Amanda's services for our April wedding as well as for our engagement photos. Trusting a stranger to capture your once-in-a-lifetime moments is an exercise in anxiety. From the return of our very first engagement photos, we knew our anxiety was unwarranted in regards to Amanda's skill and professionalism. The shots were creative but not so far outside the box that you worried for the lack of tradition. The whole family loved the color and locations that were chosen, and when it came time to show off the wedding proper, everyone was thrilled with our choice in photographer. Amanda was never in the way at the ceremony, in fact, she was never in my line of sight, but that didn't keep her from achieving all the angles, expressions and spontaneous moments we sought. My wife and I would heartily recommend Amkar photography for all your photographic needs!

Amanda offers a great value for her professional services. My engagement session was quick, but not rushed. We told her our wedding was inspired by the 1904 World's Fair and she was eager to help us capture that vintage feel. We have had so many people tell us our Save the Date postcard was their favorite, even family members thought we were models, like a generic photo of some happy couple. Once we saw those photos I knew my wedding day photos would be awesome and they were! Amanda was super accommodating. She asked and listened for what I wanted and didn't want. Very pleased, all around!

Amanda was a pleasure to work with and easy to get in contact with. We booked her late after having to change photographers. Thank goodness for that! We did an engagement shoot with Amanda just to get accustomed to each other since we had previously done engagement photos. Boy were we shocked at how much better her pictures were!! The turnaround time is very fast! We received our wedding pictures and ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. I have gotten so many compliments on the pictures and peole has been asking, "who was your photographer". We could not be happier with the way they turned out. You can plan the most elaborate wedding and have every detailed ironed out but if you do not have a true professional with experience taking those photos then it was all a waste! Don't skimp on your wedding photographer. You cannot recreate that day. Out of all of the vendors we used - Amanda was BY FAR the best choice we made!

Impressed does not even begin to explain how we feel about Amkar photography. Amanda is the sweetest woman you will ever meet, she was efficient, she was never in the way and she captured some of the most amazing photos. We had scheduled a photo shoot and when our location was no longer an option we trusted her to pick a new one on the spot. As a result we have some gorgeous pictures we could not have even dreamed of. She compiled a customized DVD and it was in our mailbox when we arrived home from our honeymoon. Amkar photography is a company that cares about people. They made sure to double check all details with us prior to the wedding and the day ran very smoothly. The photographer could have been more assertive, but she was very polite and patient all day which are very necessary qualities for a photographer. The photos were absolutely beautiful, and captured all the important moments. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Amanda Kar is an amazing photographer. I found her by The Knot and had only seen her website. I called her and she made an appointment to meet with me within a week. She showed me a slideshow of her work and it was beyond beautiful, to say the least. She was exactly what I wanted and I hired her on the spot. We talked and she got details of what I wanted and didn't want in capturing my special day. On the day she was there on time and ready. She was so happy and easy to work with. She went with the flow and had beautiful ideas. Her use of light turned out beautiful. She was up for anything I asked for and was ready when there were moments where I didn't know what I wanted. She flowed so well with the day and I was very grateful for her laid back, easy approach. She did a great job of using different angles and different sources of light and backgrounds. We had a wonderful array of photo's to choose from. We love the photo's from that day, and we often tell people about Amkar Photography! I will definitely use her again to capture my families special moments.

My husband I were married in May and we used Amanda from Amkar Photography for our engagement and wedding photos. We were thrilled with the entire process! From our first meeting, Amanda was always organized and professional. We absolutely loved her work for both our engagement and wedding pictures! She captured every moment of our wedding beautifully. She was fast at delivering the results, too! Within two weeks of both our engagement session and wedding, we were able to view all of our pictures online. I found out about Amkar on the Knot website. I called Amanda and had a meeting scheduled. She brought books and was very nice. She helped us to find an option where it would fit our schedule and our finances. We had the most amazing engagement photo session. During the wedding we hardly saw her, but she was all over the place, and I have 700+ pictures to prove it. My husband was worried that the photografer gets in a way of things happening, and was happily surprised that it was not the case. We got both of our DVDs with pictures shortly after and they looked gorgeous.

I am in love with my pictures they're so awesome! We got the rose package with 6 hrs of coverage and a custom cd of all the pictures. I first seen her pictures on facebook and I fell in love with them and I knew Amanda was the photographer I wanted. She is great and our pictures are great. Can't wait for her to do our baby pictures!

Amanda is amazing!! When I got my DVD in the mail I was blown away just with the first glance of the cover! I was so impressed with Amanda's creativity and knowledge I would recommend anyone to her in a heartbeat! We had gotten information about Amanda from a bridal fair and I had added her on Facebook in order to see more of her work. She had a contest that we won, and after seeing so many of her pictures, we really excited to book. She did a great job working with us since we live four hours away, and we we loved the engagement pictures and the wedding pictures. We loved that we got to see the pictures so soon after the engagement session and the wedding. We got our photobooks recently and they are really nice. We would definitely recommend Amanda to future couples.
