as so excited after looking at their book of business that I think I e-mailed and left a voicemail late at night without thinking about the time. Needless to say, I received a call back in a timely manner, and we hit it off right away. Immediately I could tell Andrew has that wonderful balance of humor and professionalism. When you're shooting photos with him and his photographers, you forget that you're on camera - instead it feels like you're hanging out with a close friend. You feel free to be goofy and/or be yourself, and that quality comes out in his photos. While I was getting ready for my wedding ceremony, his photographer, Indica, took photos of myself and my bridesmaids. They were perfectly positioned and didn't feel intrusive - really it just felt like they were part of the crew as they were funny. It was a pleasure having them around. An added bonus is that they knew my makeup artist. I made a comment that it felt as if during all of this planning that all of the vendors become like a type of work-family as they all get to know each other from different jobs that they work. Throughout the planning process, Andrew was extremely efficient. He would text me reminders to add him to a secret Pinterest board with ideas of photographs I would want for my wedding. He also asked me for a list of must-have photos during the big day, which he was more than happy to provide for me. I think the biggest point I have to make here goes beyond the cost of the photography, which is what originally attracted me - it goes further into the actual experience that is provided. It is not often that you get to deal with people who truly love what they do for a living. The genuine uplifting spirit that the folks at Imani J Photography promote is contagious. I often would hear Andrew say "your {makeup artist} hooked you up!" or "that shot is so dope!" I called him the hype man because he was so genuine with his excitement in the photographs that are taken and the true artistry behind them. Their excitement erases any fear of the lens that you may feel, and brings you to really feel that inner confidence you didn't know you had. I'm thankful for the experience that Imani J Photography has provided for myself, my new husband, and my family during my wedding day! I plan to use them as my photographers for life!!!
